To get your mic mono at 2:32 just right click the OBS audio mixer, go to Advanced Audio Properties, and there's a check box for "Mono". I do the same thing with my IO/24
@@TheFranswahStudio lol happens to the best of us. Sometimes I get so deep in the advanced stuff I forget simple things like "did you try turning it off and back on again"
Thank you... This video explained in 3 minutes what most on RU-vid couldn't do in 20... And that's explain the features and how to use them with the Revelator app... Great video... And I just subscribed to your channel
My gripe with some interfaces is they do not look cool or minimalist. This looks practical, minimalist and the gain is good too. Has anyone noticed any RF issues or noise problems with this ? Thinking about buying it.
Well that's pretty neat. This in combination with a cheap midi controller like the Korg nanokontrol2 or worlde easy control 9 combined with the midi-mixer software could make for a knob+fader hardware controller for each of those virtual sources too. I dig it.
Yeah going from VoiceMeeter Potato to the IO/24 I just wish I had another virtual audio device or 2. Otherwise I love this thing, especially monitoring the effected mic in real time
Main reason I don't plan change my Komplete Audio 1 yet and do the upgrade ... I need to figure out how people setup their music, chat, game audio, browser audio and have the total control of each app.
@@oumac based on my (fairly good) experience with PreSonus products, cost will be probably about same in a 10 year run (RME will still work but PreSonus will give up on driver support as soon as new major OS arrives, so new PreSonus interface will multiply the running costs)
@@TazzSmk I'm okay with the quality of RME, it was a real question :) How much do I need to have a similar product . i curious And try to know more about it if you have some idea of product for stream purpose from RME
@@oumac really depends on what you're looking to do. RME doesn't make a single channel interface like what Presonus is doing. Also, RME doesn't do the DSP thing (the RME Babyface Pro has just 3 band EQ, whereas the RME UCX has Compression and EQ, but that is $1600). The cheapest device they got is the Babyface Pro FS and that is a cool $1000. The Babyface Pro is actually fantastic for streamers, but most folks are on a budget and $1000 on an interface is not practical. I own a BabyFace Pro FS...it's better by a mile than everything I've used up to to this point. The preamps have more power, sound more precise, you can plug in digital audio and process your audio with sub 5ms latency in a DAW if you so choose. Fantastic? Of course, but not practical for your average streamer.
I’d recommend this over Wave XLR because of the onboard DSP (Wave has the benefit of any plugins you want to use) GoXLR is a different beast and lots could be discussed when comparing this to that device. But IMO and for my needs.. this is better for sure
Hello Franswah, i saw a your tutorials with equalizer apo not long ago and i have this problem with my microphone (Its a Rockband Mic plug to my pc lol, i only use it for discord) when my voice gets louder (without any compression) its really a huge difference compared to when i talk normaly, so what do you recommend in this case? The Ratio of my compressor needs to be higher right?
If you are using the compression to limit the loud noises you can set the threshold of your compression to say.. -15 or -10db and then up the ratio so when you do get loud it will essentially compress those louder moments
The device has onboard DSP the app is built to work with the dsp on the interface for the processing.. it doesnt work standalone. But, yes it works great like voicemeeter.. just feel like it needs more sources
Is there any major differences in the software when using the 44 in comparison to the 24? right now the difference is $20 at SW, and if I can get more out of the 24, I'd rather go with that
The main difference between the two are the analog inputs and outputs.. the io44 has 1 xlr input and 1 mic preamp.. the io24 has 2 xlr inputs and 2 preamps.. io24 is a 2x4 input/output the io44 has the addition of line-in input and headset input
@@TheFranswahStudio thanks! I have the Q9U USB direct right now, with the headphones port connected to the line in on my Arctis 7, great setup so far, but I need that sweet processing BEFORE it hits OBS! I definitely will be picking up one of these soon™!
I have Presonus io 24 and i think the main difference is input and size there others are pretty much identical. If you're traveling a lot and does not need 2 inputs then io 44 is way to go. But i saw on Julian Krause channel, there are issues with io 44. When using dynamic mic at max gain there is very audible buzz and it picksup electromagnetic sound / interference if you have device around such as external preamp etc.

You are not supposed to use the mic 1/2 as an input for OBS this way. This channel does not have 0dB equals to 100% in Windows Audio (0dB is about 54%). So it's good to change the audio through the Sounds dialog that can be changed from linear to dB scales (by right clicking on the slider), or it can result in clipping. If you want to use this channel as an input, I think you can get around most of this issues by using it as a ASIO input instead (as mono channel). But whatever you do, there are some things that will not work properly on this special channel (ex. reverb and input volume), as it's more for Sudio One. The mic 1/2 is a combination of the inputs so the other channel is probably the headset input on the io44 (left and right XLR input on the io24).
Just because the device has a lower windows setting doesn’t render it useless though. I understand what you’re saying.. for some the reverb may be an issue.. for me it’s not.. but what you’re saying about the left and right being different sources is interesting.. will have to look at it and see but there are a total of 3 inputs on the device including line-in seems like a strange function to include
re: submix for stereo mic. I'm a noob.. please don't flame me if i'm wrong (i'm totally gonna get flamed...) but in OBS can't you use the advance properties on the mic to set it to Mono? Why would you want it in stereo? (again.. noob.. honest question, not being a jerk i promise)
@@TheFranswahStudio bro pls... make a cheap and feature loaded interface review, cause its price seem to be less in dollars but its very expensive in INDIA. ANY WAYS LOVE FROM INDIA BRO 😘
@@INFINITYSCHILLIN As far as interfaces go.. this is going to be one of the best budget interfaces loaded with features.. cheaper from here cuts many features out of play
Well sort of.. the emphasis on this device is the virtual mixer that I highlight in the video.. irig doesnt come with a virtual mixer.. it just mixes the sources connected to it
Steinberg preamp are noisier than presonus ( at max gain for driving dynamic mic ), i was considering between Steinberg UR 22c and Revelator io 24. Ended up buying Presonus Revelator io 24 instead. I use SM 57 at max gain and i barely hear any hizz / noise compared with UR22c
