Man I respect ballet dancers sm. The amount of skill and concentration, just to look elegant, and flawless is astounding. I wish I could do ballet, but I don't think I have the time or skill for it, so I really applaud people who can do it at all.
Wow. I didn’t know that people thought about people like me like that.usually people think it’s just a plia and little twirl on relevè. It’s SO much harder than that. Thank you.

Him catching her isn't a hard, risky maneuver. I'm guessing that well-deserved smile accompanied by the audience clapping was due to her satisfaction at flawlessly finishing a long and complicated pas de deux after so much hard work.

Mistakes do happen and you fall flat on your face. I was taught to learn how to fall graciously. And how fall 6o minimise injury and pain, if you can't avoid falling. I just become conscious of falling and try to land gently, on a body part unlikely to break. Like kand on your rump. Prot3ct very vulnerable knees, ankles and arms/hands. Such injuries can be pretty painful.
It almost looked like you “knew how to fall” to protect yourself. I would love to hear how one learns that in a sport like ballet when you’re spinning precariously on slippery pointe shoes.
You do "learn" how to fall. If you notice, it's a completely different type of floor she's rehearsing on, than the other clips, so you're automatically aware it's going to be different. She felt it coming right as she began, that she wasn't completely up on pointe. She expected it. Most times it hurts the hip bones mainly, but you learn to "slide" with it, to protect your lower body-ankles/knees.
It makes sense to me that they would have to learn how to fall "successfully," meaning they'd have to learn how to fall without hurting themselves. Maybe that's the first thing they learn, because falling is 100% going to happen. Not every time, but even the good ones, like Amber, fall occasionally, and they're the best because they fell, failed and found a way to perfect their craft.
Not a dancer, but I've done other fall sports. It's instinct after a while, you feel your feet go out from under you or you know your balance is off and you twist to land correctly.
@@alyssaf1285not a dancer but I used to be and now I’m in martial arts but when we learned self defense drills and sparring as well as fancy kicks and tricks and working with partners before we even learned how to do anything the first thing we learned was how to fall . We were even graded on how well we fell.
I’ve never thought myself as a dancer, and funnily enough if I was dancing I would belong in the garbage 😅, but it’s so amazing and fascinating how you stand on your toes (I know it’s the type of shoe but still it takes a lot of strength) and the twirling and everything- omg ❤
Love this. I’m not a dancer but these young ladies put so much work into it that when they perform so flawlessly that you think oh I could do that. Ballet is so awesome to watch. The beauty of the human body

It’s constantly amazing to me, the amount of strength and muscle control dancers, especially ballet dancers, must have, in order to do what they do and make it looks so fluid and natural/easy!😱😅🤷♀️🥰
@@tkh22 Sometimes people prefer doing something they’re naturally good at as opposed to pursuing what they are passionate and may fail at. Plenty of ballet dancers who don’t love it. They start young and don’t know to stop.
I have been crying about all of these ballet shorts that i keep getting because i want to be a dancer so bad but my family can't afford it so it just makes me happy to see people like that are able to complete your dreams you are a living doll of perfection best of luck for your next show
Keep on dancing if that’s what you love. Even if y’all fall never give up on the thing you love. Your art is something I wouldn’t do but I respect that y’all can keep dancing I love ballerina’s.
As a dancer I can confirm that dance is very hard and this is true! People think that dance is a easy peasy sport with no training needed, and those are the people I call stupid 😊

As a Ballet dancer, this is so true ❤ Ballet is the hardest out of all of the dances, and last dance year I wanted to drop ballet (so glad I didn’t) because it’s the root of dance, if someone doesn’t do ballet they are no where near as strong as someone who does

More like 100% concentrated power of will 😂 ballet is one of the hardest sports/ art form I've ever done. My brain is engaged the entire time on every tiny movement down to the tips of my fingers and toes , muscle engagement, spacial awareness, facial expression/direction of gaze, and the will to hold... hold like your life depends on it..
I always loved ballet and was in it for a long time i wasnt super flexible in the normal ways so there were certain moves i could do better than the other girls in my class i got kicked out of ballet after i got diagnosed with epilepsy. My old ballet teacher was fired a year before i got diagnosed and she had remembered my mom mentioning she had epilepsy and my old ballet teacher who was now an after school worker was able to tell my mom her suspicions before things got too bad
Its funny how different outfits from the same category can make the one person look like completely different people but the purple at the end if definitely your color where as the darker shades of pink and the black make you look regal like a dutchess.
