So many great acts were nepotism babies: Angelina Jolie, Carrie Fisher, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laura Dern. I’m okay with nepotism if the kid is actually talented
And in this case the child actors had both parents there, it was a safe space. When you read what child actors go through, and what they are exposed to, I'm glad that at least in case the children were safe.
everyone loves a relatable queen… I will say that nepotism in acting isn’t really a thing. you have to be good or it doesn’t work long term. worthless positions in business and politics are the real problem
@@KNYD that is so true!!!! Sad to say but child actors who are the money earners for their parents always come out fucked. So she definitely is in a safe environment.
Black Ninja yeah she’s my celeb crush. As I told you the day of the week I was born, I’ve got this amazing talent where I can go back from 1900s to 2099! It’s pretty cool. Does that sound like one awesome talent?
It must have been weird for Paul Rudd though because he was playing fake dad to a real family while the real dad was across the room. I also love how he had more chemistry with Maude than her own mother 😂.
Funnily enough Paul Rudd played the same role in Knocked Up which was released 5 years prior (this is 40 is a sequel), which Maude was also in and was 10 years old. Paul would have felt like he’d seen her grow up
@@Hersheychocolate12 I mean her character is the most relatable for me and the most normal girl in the school vbut nothing special about her acting skill she can replace by any actress and her role is most easiest to portray she just another product of nepotism...she must thanks her parents.
It's unfortunate because Maude is very talented but you'll never know if she is getting work because she deserves it or because of who her parents are.
Have you seen her performance in Euphoria? Even if she is getting work because her parents give her a foot in the door, she sure as hell proved that she absolutely deserves it regardless.
She is talented and deserves it, like so many other people who will never get the chances that she has due to her famous parents. But that’s life. That’s why networking is such a big thing because so much ultimately just depends on who you know 🤷🏻♀️
@@chand911 her dad is a massive screenwriter, director and producer and her mom is a famous actress. Even if laymen don't know about their relationship the people in Hollywood who are scouting and hiring definitely do
That's Hollywood, mate. It isn't a new thing. The old actors of today, a lot of them are the children, or grandchildren, of famous actors(or other people with influence).
yeah, it’s just how it is unfortunately. but ofc that doesn’t mean those other kids will never get that opportunity! they will just have to work a lot harder and even tho it doesn’t seem fair it’s just how it is in hollywood
If acting is so unimportant to you, you must not watch any television, movies, theatre, or any internet videos that that are scripted. The way acting is treated and portrayed in the US is something I disagree with (the celebrity status and the fact that it's more about the person than the craft) , but it's still an art form that (when done right) is very challenging and thought provoking.
DeuPKay lol you have to think if there were no actors there would be no movies and show. Believe it or not a lot of things would be different in our world if the job didn't exist. So appreciate them.
