This is to lend my voice using this platform to create awareness on the effect of excessive screen time in children avoidable. This is a disaster waiting to happen. A call for parents to be more intentional and aware.

This is just horrifying. I have two grandchildren aged 5 and 10. They are given iPads to use all the time. I weep for the future of our kids. You're doing the right thing mum and your children will thank you one day.

All kids need just a flip phone to text and call friends/family member/parents . They can read books,go outside, and actually socialize with kids in their age group . I grew up when Apple phones qnd androids came out it and into school qnd i was middle school it ruined children mentally very badly

Spare the rod, spoil the child. The rod is not always physical use of reprimanding, the rod is DISCIPLINE. Parents are lazy when it comes to training up their children. The iPad is a pacifier to keep the child from crying out for what they truly need, YOU (the parent)…

My 10yo son has autism and technology has been a huge help in general. I’m definitely guilty of letting him have too much screen time, but this is just unacceptable. He has to earn the screen time, and he has better manners than most adults I know. I always try to make sure there is a balance and we do not have tantrums like this when it’s time to put it down. We work through the behavior and big feelings until he’s ready to transition to something else. If the kids in the intro of this video are neuro-typical kids throwing a meltdown tantrum on that level then there is no excuse. Talk to your freakin kids. They are people in training and you are failing them. They won’t thank you when they end up in jail, or worse.

Dear pheobe, listen to your mother, you may not understand it now and especially your friends don’t understand it, but you have a loving, caring mother who has nothing but your best interests at heart, we were raised on brick phones, and how crazy is it to say those were simpler times. Anyway respect, love and learn from you mother, they always have the best wisdom.

thank you so much for talking about this, this needs millions of views. parents need to end this! this very thing infuriates me everytime I witness it. I work at a music store and I see parents come in to shop while their child mindlessly walks around looking only at their iPad or phone, not once looking up to see the cool things around them. kids don't even want to play with toys anymore, let alone learn about music...its so sad. and whats worse is the parents don't think its a problem, only until they try to take the iPad away. the parents are the issue here, don't give your child a device to make them quiet and then be upset at them when they throw a tantrum when you take it away, just don't give it to them regardless! maybe show them actual toys? you don't deserve to call yourself a parent if you don't know how to be one!

I have a 12 y/o. He has never acted like this over a device. He has very strict rules and we have total control over the content he receives. If he ever did this, he knows he'll have to fish his devices from the bottom of the pool.

Share this video with your daughter. If it's okay for parents to let their kids be ipad kids why hide what harm it might cause from your daughter so she might better navigate her daily life without you there to shed light on how to handle with what she is equipped to handle life with concerning whatever thing life brings. People don't necessarily need to observe children to realize the effects, because we understand enough about childhood development to adulthood and how both good and bad in a child's life affects the manner of adult decisions they make in life. Bad or non-positive activities left uncorrected lead to the best in the political arenas possible. Free Screen-time is directly proportional to Entitlement building. IMHO Pagans used to sacraficed their children in a similar anti-family unit manor except now they sacrafice to unknowns by abandoning them with ipads and then will loose them in the world exactly as they were raised.
