Your broken arm is a small blessing in disguise. The junior members of your team can now step up to the next level with your guidance and oversight. That's growth. That's how I've always built my teams. Give them a chance to succeed, learn from the failures, build their skills and confidence. 👍👍

I've been watching your channel for about three years now. One of the things that came home to me today was the changes surrounding your young son Landon. When I first started watching Landon was this big kid who was still wet behind the ears. He didn't quite know how to fit in but he tried the best he could. Today he had a heart to heart conversation with Sean at 34:12 and something became very apparent. Landon has become a young man. He has paid his dues and the boy is gone forever. Yes, he's still not sure about some things but those things will come with time and experience. The difference was they treated each other as equals and both Sean and Landon managed to convey that respect and, to a degree, admiration, to one another. You, as parents, must be very proud of your young son as I was when my children became adults and took charge of their lives. So some well earned kudos to you Landon. Life can be hard with the ups and downs but keep doing what you are doing and you will do well.

FINALLY, SOMEONE GETS A GOOD SPRAY CREW. Everyone in this group of creators always end up with stupid open cell foam (I get it you're in the south), with some crap setup, terrible prep, shot out of a garbage gun. These guys, tested their heat and mix, wearing a good monkey suit, no forced air but a mask with the right filters does well in that environment, and rockin' the classic Graco AP2 gun. That's some good looking closed cell foam; it's not just noise vibration and insulation; it's water tight now too, basically a vapor barrier on the whole outside of the truck. We used to do the underside of trailers all the time which makes a huge difference in Canada winters, you can't expect foam to be perfectly flat with a vehicle, just apply it well and hide it away. Wouldn't be surprised if it was a Graco hydraulic machine they were running or an older but loyal variant.

I spray foamed in the rear cab corners of my 1955 F100 back in the mid 80's. Short story, rear window seal leaked, water got behind the foam, ate at the metal at an incredible pace, big repairs in the early 90's. I'm in Minnesota, in Utah you'll likely have a better experience. Good luck!

Paul..as a fellow shattered arm club member...don't usethat hand to do anything or you risk torquing the bone..all those tendons from your fingers run up your arm and will put tension on the bone. It would be like running your rig with the shocks attached but the axle not attached...bad things can happen. Be patient so you don't end up with a lifelong arm that can tell when the weather changes and hurts when you use it. Good luck.

That Spray foam should be great to quiet body sounds and exterior noises. Bonus will be it will help hold that air conditioning in the cabin too! Good luck with the foam. In the 70s we sprayed ridged foam on anything that didn’t move in the oil patch. The problem then was the foam didn’t expand with the metal tanks and cracked and fell off. On roofs it would leak and it was hard to find the leak. Was a great insulator. Terrible at stopping sound because being closed cell foam. Best at killing sound is open cell foam.

My father bought a 78 ford van - new. He built out the interior himself and used spray foam (professional - like what you just did) inside to quiet and insulate it. We spent many nights living the 'van life' long before that was a thing.. Anyway, never had a problem with the foam. Didn't trap any water or cause any rust as far as I know. And we had that thing forever - at least 250k and 20 years.. I suspect it was heavier than we thought it was going to be but didn't weigh it before after so who knows.

The spray foam should work great. Just be careful not to spray it into any closed cavities. I found that out the hard way.

I used Grate stuff form Home Depot when I did wood paneling/ cages and shelving in one of my work vans. It was awesome for noise while driving through Dallas Tx and when it get to hit or cold. Was very awesome. Can’t wait to see what else y’all to to this.

Great way to make it solid and quiet, just don’t let that foam get wet because the truck will rust away within a year

Great job by Shawn and Landon, must be satisfying to know you have great backup. Prayers for your healing and quick return to work. I've been there working with one bad wing can be frustrating.

Nice how Jace and Landon are filling in for Paul, with his broke left arm. The OnX Jeep is coming together. Like the spray foam insulation idea. Hope that will eliminate road noise and rattles.
