He was on my score card 2 weeks ago. Best Strixhaven boi gets his spark at the most intriguing and dire moment. I'm so proud of my boi 🥰 "To safeguard the lore of the multiverse, I will keep watch"
Yes i would love a lore Planeswalker that is Red/White please make it good. Osgir was my favorite commander out of the strixhaven precons so i have a lot of hype for this
@Aether Hub You posted so fast its totally understandable! I figured you had read it super quick after it posted. Because yea, even WotC mixed up the two authors names and had to correct it.
I love that,at lest 2 of my fave planes looks safe!,or 3 kamigawa neon dynasty I'm not so sure yet. I like Liliana worried with the students at Styx Haven and..ELEPHANT PLANESWALKER! I hope
@@reiner4369 new cappena! The other ones...Theros we alreayd know it's fucked up,Amonkhet..well..easy pray I think? Innistrad I hope the moon open again
Wait, a loxodon planeswalker? Hell yeah! I hope they will treat him in a better than the other non human PWs. Very different from Nahiri for sure, but still apart from the Boros state of mind, fortunately if you ask me. Anyway, eagerly waiting for the cosplay!
Jeez talk about the Kilian Experience! No wonder his uploads have been so far and few! Even more impressive he pulled all this off while being just a red panda!
Probably. She's one of the few professors left so I think she'll be getting a promotion. She might be black/green since she graduated from witherbloom but white/black seems more her style.
Why are you doing the exact same farewell line that Tomer does? "and until next time... artificial pause... see ya!" ? Thanks for doing these vids thought.
@@NTHEREFF they asked "do you THINK" Not "when are they releasing an Alara revisted". Literally ANYONE could answer that question. Simply a simple 'I dont know, but I would like that."
I could be wrong but weren't the the twin Planeswalkers Rowan & Will on Strixhaven and in the school were Lilliana was teaching ? Where were they in this story ?
Can't help but ask : what about the dragons? We know the professors were all basically compleated but... not much is said about the dragons...Also... YEAH! -BABAR- ahem QUINTORIUS PW!
No Niv-Mizzet has the Chain Veil Kaya gave it to him to prove Liliana was dead and he had no way of finding out for himself aside from having the veil. Liliana doesn't want to use the Chain Veil because she'll be at the mercy of someone else magic again.
I love Quint. Honestly, if anything suggests that things might not fully go back to normal, a new Boros Planeswalker who conceivably should care about artifacts would be it.
@@Rifter- maybe. I think we're definitely going to see a twist of some sort - too many wheels in spin: Teferi, Elspeth, etc. Difficult to say where we'll end up, and I have a hard time imagining Jace and Nissa staying dead, but we'll see what happens. For what it's worth, Nahiri is the phyrexianized Planeswalker who is most likely to *not* be dead, cause I think she and Sorin are important for one another's stories. Losing Nahiri cheapens Sorin.
@@henryterhune8328 you have no idea how much I hope you're right and Teferi can at least save a few walkers haha. I definitely agree with the Sorin aspect too. It would very much end their feud on a really dull note. Plus Nahiri is one is the few solid villains/antiheroes in the story in my opinion. Someone who actually has interesting, understandable motivations, even if we don't agree with them and they make her do bad things. She's more complex of a villain than just "I'm evil and wanna take over the world". Looking at you Bolas, you mustache twirling cliche.
@@Rifter- definitely, I love Nahiri as a character, and Sorin when they don't just put him in plain hero mode. They are both pre-mendong Planeswalkers and are super far removed from most people and their morality. Basically gods who have been lowered. Like, Nahiri sacrificed thousands of years protecting the multiverse, but when she got betrayed by her buddy, she was like "Fine, well I'm going to destroy your plane now!" Their scales of morality are just way way off, and so they manage to be interesting for the story, and great foils for one another
@@henryterhune8328 I agree. Here's hoping a couple of our favorites make it out alive! Speaking of which, wonder how Sorin is doing in this war. I assume we'll get a story of how things are going on Innistrad.
I think it's a natural progression thing. They learned how to do Planeswalkers which was the hardest thing to do. Once they did that they prob found a quick way. But we also aren't given in context of how long they were on strixhaven prior to this story.
Oh and don't forget how easily they "uncompleated" the phyrexian planeswalkers. Like didn't Nissa and Ajani lose most of their flesh?? And now they're just magically all normal now? Lol so dumb
I'm really enjoying these March of the Machines stories. And finally have a story with good things happening for the heroes instead of them making every good guy weak like they can't even beat a Phyrexian that has no arms and no magic or any abilities at all. 😂
I´m actually glad that Ambrose survived as bad of a person he is I think he is still redeemable and I guess Quintorius takes tamiyos Spot as Lore-Mage Planeswalker now
I think this proves that a lot of planeswalkers and characters are gonna stay dead and there won't be any timey wimey shenanigans to save people. Since Quint is red white that means he's effectively the replacement walker for Nahiri. This doesn't bode well for Jace and Vraska somehow getting rescued, which was what I was holding out hope for. Really just can't bring myself to enjoy these stories with that in mind, but I guess I'm just salty about my favorite planeswalkers. I figure I'm in the minority there.
Also Quint does what Tamyio did but way more in line with his colors, keeping order and recording ancient knowledge (and who knows one day he might become white, red and blue aligned)
Team Nissa and team Serra here. :( But maybe it's better this way. Better having good characters with consistent character arcs that actually end than having to deal with a whole DC/Marvel eternal plot armour mess.
@@juliahenriques210 eh I'd agree wth you if Chandra, Liliana, and Kaya weren't completely and utterly unkillable. As soon as they started this whole thing, I knew the characters who were gonna make it out of all this completely fine. If we're talking plot armor, wizards is one of the worst offenders haha. Not only does that tick me off, but I don't feel in the slightest that Jace or Vraska's arcs were even close to over. They just killed them because they're popular and it would be impactful/subversive to the story without affecting the marketability of the ip.
@@Rifter- I agree that Kaya is unkillable right now, like Saheeli, Tyvar and a couple others. Chandra and Liliana, on the other hand, are pretty close to over development-wise. I would't miss the Jace that was an uninteresting self insert for a good third of the Magic community, but the Jace that "grew up" in Ixalan Will be sad to say goodbye to. That said, he was also reaching the end of his arc, having stopped being a loner, having learned to trust others, having let the weight of Ravnica off his shoulders. The next thing for him would be to find or become a mentor, but that's pretty much it. Lorewise I think he needs a good send-off that explores things from his point of view, though, just as much as Nissa. Both have points of view so unique, though, that I fear the current Wizards team wouldn't be able to pull it off, just as in the end they couldn't with Teferi and Sorin. :/
@@juliahenriques210 dang those are all great points about Jace. Still don't want to see him go though... Vraska either, still my favorite female planeswalker in the game and one of my favorite characters in general. As for Chandra, she's going nowhere fast. Strictly from a marketing point of view she has way too unique of a look, with the flaming hair, to get taken out of the story. They'll milk her for as long as humanly possible. Just look at the fact that she's the most printed planeswalker card by a HUGE margin. Same with Liliana. With necromancy being such an integral and visually appealing theme for black aligned magic, there's no way they're gonna get rid of a character who so well represents that part of the game. They know who their core playerbase is and hate to say it but sex appeal sells. (please note I'm not trying to sound gross, just making an observation from a marketing perspective). Teferi too, I forgot to mention as plot armored, but that's ok. Love that guy.
There are still 10 planes that have been teased that we have not seen the invasion of. Alara, Tarkir, Shandalar, Dominaria*, Innistrad, Theros*, Zendikar*, Lorwyn, Mercadia, and Eldraine. * = has been mentioned, but hasn't been shown.
Nicol Bolas killed all the other elder dragons waaaaaay back when. Ugin is back now, because Sarkhan retconned its death. Bolas was stripped of his spark and taken the the Meditation Realm by Ugin, after the War of the Spark. Ugin then dispersed himself into the matter of the Mediation Realm, preventing anything from entering or leaving the plane, and leaving Bolas trapped until he dies of old age.
I'm kinda annoyed with all the ridiculous amount of completion happening. Either there's going to be some stupid as shit time magic happening to undo it all, or some dumb ex machina "clear oil" that just does the opposite of the glistening oil. Unless of course this is wizards basically giving up on the magic lore, how else could the story survive with half (if not more) the cast and each plane effectively destroyed?
@@alfredorivera5764 while I agree, it's weird with how other (arguably more dangerous like the eldrazi or more intelligent like Bolas) barely kill any named characters, but Phyrexia is dumpstering half the multiverse
New Phyrexia is small by volume, not so much by surface area (which matters more for population). I ran the numbers assuming the outermost layer was the size of earth's moon and that each layer had space for a Mount Everest and was as thick as a Mount Everest, and it ended up about 1/3rd of Earth's surface area. That sounds small, until you realize that the Phyrexians can and have terraformed their plane, but also can and have engineered their species as they see fit (to the point that only some even need food). Furthermore, remember that at least 71% of Earth's surface can't support human habitation by default (the parts covered in water). This means that we support a population of 8 billion plus with less land than they have and needing to facilitate food production and clean water supplies. Realistically, the Phyrexians could field an initial invasion force numbering in the billions. Yes, it's spread across who knows how many planes, but then you remember their ability to covert enemy combatants and both sides' dead into new troops immediately ready for battle.
Yeah idk how people are so shocked. The process of completion has been refined and refined again over 10,000s of years so I'm not surprised Jin has found a super streamed line way of doing it (very likely to do with the reality chip). They don't need an army in the hundreds of billions if the have the power to convert entire planes.
This story has been pretty shitty so far as I don't feel like the Phyrexians are invading the multiverse more like they have been invading the Planeswalkers. Either the writers do not care about the nuances of the peoples of each plane or they don't know.
