Hello, you pop up in the strangest of places. Last Thursday I was having my triweekly dialysis session when the TV above my dialysis bed was showing a canal boat with cakes, suddenly you and the lad appear. No sound unfortunately and I had just lost battery on my tablet at the end of my 4 hour session. Found it back home on Channel 4 catch up, seen only programme 1 so I shall keep the rest until perhaps this Saturdays session so I nan find something else to enjoy passing the 4 hour dialysis. The cakes look great, especially the Guiness cake!. Reminds me of a lad I worked with. His girl friend had died his black hair very blonde, and he came into work dressed in black tee shirt & trousers. For months he was known as Guiness.

I'm amazed Jo can make frangipane after 9 at night! And it looked fab! Lovely to see all your boatyard duties, and the lovely skies over White Nancy. Great to see your videos again! William is growing up so quickly, hope he enjoys growing up on a narrow boat with all the joys of simple pleasures❤.

Oh, that frangipani tart looks scrumptious. I just baked your fabulous lemon drizzle loaf recipe today, which is delicious. I serve it with whipped cream and sweet, sliced fresh strawberries. William is getting so big; he is such a cutie, and what a vocabulary. Congratulations on reaching White Nancy; what a view.

My personal observation is that you seem very happy back on Zero with your family. Great to see you and Jo working together and raising William who is growing and learning so quickly!!

Jo...you kept saying you weren't good at pastry. Have to tell you that my Mom used to make the flakiest and tastiest crusts!! So after I got married I asked for the recipe which she provided. I made a pumpkin pie from fresh pumpkins and wondered why I had so much pumpkin mixture left over after I put the pie in the oven. Pie looked wonderful and tasted great but noticed the crust looked thick. She called the next day to see how my crust turned out...well that's when I found the recipe was for 2 pie crusts and I had shoved it all into one pie plate...only made that mistake once but we had a good laugh!!

It is great to see the community spirit between you and the boatyard William will be a great leader bringing people back to and living with nature. Ye are great parents.

Another groovy episode. Perfectly shot and edited. Fantastic color quality; almost looking 3D at times. The Queen of Baking. Your beautiful, tasty looking pies and cakes drive me crazy. Running all the way up to White Lady and then doing 59 push ups. WOW! I sort of ran from our bedroom this afternoon to the kitchen for a cup of yummy coffee. I did however, walk back to the bedroom. LOL! William is fast growing up with a lovely laugh and a beautiful personality. He will no doubt grow up as groovy as you two.

White Nancy, built in 1817 to commemorate the victory at the Battle of Waterloo. It has a round stone central table and some stone benches inside. It's grade 2 listed and was bricked up, (I assume to prevent vandalism).

Sure enjoyed this!! I think the trick to great pastry is to put *everything* into the freezer--flour, butter, bowl, beaters, dough hook. Except eggs. Get it cold and keep it cold. Oh and for sure get that Kitchen Aid back on the crew, even if she needs her own generator! Send out the pressgangs!
