A very nice model from Airfix I really enjoyed this one even with the small amount of extra work needed I would defo recommend. Its been in my stash for several years along with about 40 other Airfix kits I have waiting to be built.
Nice build, but, there's always a but, the cockpit is too light in colour. It should be RLM 66 which is a black grey or dark grey. The German is Schwartz Grau. Otherwise very good model.
Nice build. This kit looks looks like a huge improvement over the ancient first tooling that Airfix produced of the 262...I remember it well....cast in pale blue plastic!!
Hi Jason..Thanks for your comment...It is a great improvement,I built the old kit in the past aswell...I will look out for another of this new kit and do the other scheme in the future.
Looks great. I love the markings and paint scheme you chose. Does AirFix not include the tail markings and stencil decals? It's hard to see, but it looks like this kit doesn't have either. I am detail oriented and, like my models, historically accurate. Fantastic job, though. I know it's a bit difficult to do motteling on 1/72. Fine tipped needle, low psi (11 PSI), and keep close to the model. That's what I heard works best. I'm no professional, but I heard it's the best way to achieve good results.
Hi..Thanks for your comment and kind words. Airfix like most kit makers don't include the tail markings,but they can be bought from aftermarket decal suppliers. Yes motteling can be problematic and I have had to repaint models in the past because I got it wrong but very satisfying when done right...

Thanks Eddie...Thanks for the sub....Yeh it is a shame about the fit problem but its still a great kit...Minor issues like that add to the experience I think and it will help teach begginers how to tackle problems on other models...
Thanks for the kind words 👍 I have added my own in the past when they are not supplied with the kit but I didn't have any that were suitable for this model.

Hi...Its been a while since I built this model so I wouldn't know sorry. I dowloaded the instructions on scalemates and can not see them ...So I am assuming they are not used...They could possibly be for another version of the kit...Maybe the 2 seat kit....Sorry its the best I can come up with for you
@@zeeleven9853 Ahhh...the fuel tanks....they are not used on this model...therefore must be for another (later) released version... Airfix do this so they don't have to make a new full moulding tool for other versions which is very expensive to make...So just put those parts in your spares box and forget about them
