Outstanding! I have a handbag collection beginning with my first straw bag from Easter when I was 6 years old. Im 73. So I have a time capsule of hundreds of styles and leather, straw, fabrications. I love each and every bag. They all hold memory. Right now, while I carry and use a dozen or so, I'm most impressed with Coach. Some of the outlet bags are superior to retail. Old LV far superior to newer. I've learned so much about the history of small companies making a huge impact. Like Enid Collins origionals and their funky bag make it yourself kits of the 50s and 60s. Endless joy. 🎉 Keep it up. Your voice is heard.

I never want to buy an LV again. Everyone has one. In fact, two thirds of housewives have a Neverfull. Great bag, I get it. I just got tired of it, and honestly, just tired of the overpriced authentic ones, and I like the *esluxy* now.

I have the Fendi Mini Baguette White Sequin Bag from *esluxy* and I love it! I love the size! It holds more than you think. And the sequins give it some texture! I use it a lot more than my regular sized baguette! And the sequins are so delicate!

But the truth is who is going to scrutinize your bag like this. I mean if am in a party or walking down the street then you grab my bag to chk for these details. I judge the real and the fake by looking at who is carrying the *esluxy* . If they dress the part then it must be real. What can I say.

🙌🏻👜🙌🏻 Firstly, you are wonderful…..💖💖💖 Secondly, this is ‘your’ channel and you should be allowed to discuss whatever you wish to regarding your bags….Thirdly, if that brand had your video taken down, that is not right and as you said there are channels on here that ‘sell’ inauthentic lux brands constantly. ⭐You should do another video on the same bag/brand 😆 and put it up!!!!!We will all watch again!😃! …….As far as Bethany and her attire, that is awful and personally will NEVER purchase anything in store from that grand ever again! …….I work with clients everyday who are wealthy lux bag buyers, they all tell me in the last several years, no more new purchases, vintage preloved all the way!!!!!!🫶

I just returned from my trip to London. While there I had the chance to handle loads of contemporary and luxury bags. I had never held a puzzle bag and did so. The leather was lovely. Then I went to Strathberry and the leather felt equal, if not even nicer. And the designs excited me and fit my style. So I left with a new bag from Strathberry for less than a quarter of the price of the puzzle. It’s all about how the bag feels and makes you feel, not the logo or price tag!

I find that strathberry uses thick, heavy leather. I have a tan backpack from them that I think i’m going to sell…love the design but not the leather. Definitely prefer the smooth and durable calfskin that Loewe.

Wow! The alternative options you shared are beautiful 🤩 they look so high end and luxurious. I love real luxury- not just brand names. It doesn’t have to cost thousands to be luxury and I’m about quality and usefulness over names and logos at this point in my life. Keep these videos coming 🎉❤

Sorry you are getting such a hard time from certain brands. I did want to say a couple of things: 1) I got the clementine bag after watching your review video so thank you so much for sharing! My preorder will be arriving some time this month, and I'm so excited :) 2) I ALSO bought a set of your handbag heels and put it on my Tiffany Micro Tote. Honestly I LOVE my tiffany bag, but the lack of heels did make me worried about using it. I placed the heels on them, and OMG I fell in love with it all over again! TBH, this was my first luxury bag that I ever purchased, and as I got more into the luxury space, I realized that feet on the bag were an essential to me. I was feeling really guilty that I had a bag that I wasn't using, but I didn't want to sell for sentimental reasons. So THANK YOU SO MUCH for solving my head/heart debate of whether or not to keep it. Absolutely love it now and it isn't going anywhere! Consider this a formal review and feel free to share. :)

Who can afford luxury bags that cost thousands of dollars each, let alone own multiples? Congratulations to everyone with this kind of income. I hope you will also save for your children’s college fund, or make other investments to generate generational wealth. I believe in owning beautiful *esluxy* , but learning to save costs to buy these beautiful things. I've seen the prices on some of these bags and unless you're extremely wealthy it seems purely overpriced.

I have no sympathy for brands like Chanel. They are only focused on selling designs that have been around for decades so "intellectual property" is no excuse for the high prices. And it becomes easier and easier to copy these designs over time. Ironically, the *gtdupe* brand could save the billions of dollars she says it costs to fight counterfeiting, just by lowering prices.

This clementine bag in interesting hits all the marks I need for an everyday bag. For “luxury” I’m only going vintage and no more than $1000. Definitely on the designer/ contemporary wave, especially designers that are not popular.

In this day and age, with so much more chaos in the world, luxury is sort of a moot point. I mean, I love bags and glam and all those things, but the quality of a lot of those high end brands has really gone down hill. As my gramma would say, they no longer put the love into making it. It’s all about profit. I’ll stick with preloved and smaller brands that have beautiful quality.

Great video Alysa. I agree that there are many designer houses which have started leaving a sour taste, whether is from quality or shopping experience. I buy high end (as you do) for the quality, the customer experience & history. However, there are some great mid range handbag brands that are providing some if not all of these qualities at a much desirable price point. 🙂

I have the money to spend…but I’m also conscious that it’s just a “bag” so with all the price increases I will not purchase a bag for more than 2k. That is my cap! Last bag I purchased brand new at the boutique was the pochette Métis when it was priced at around 1800. I agree with everything you said but when they started going crazy with the price increases and the quality decreasing I started looking elsewhere. I will buy preloved if I find a perfect one or none at all.

I love your positive take on a negative situation! I love that you can do that. I'm also sorry that your video was taken down. Some of these luxury bag brands have gotten a little too big for their own britches. As someone who has always adored luxury, it isn't sitting too well with me. For the first time, I'm thinking twice about my purchases. It is sad. However, like you, I intend to find the positives in it.

I remember when Bethenny was on Martha Stewart Apprentice a long, long time ago! I don’t know that everyone would know who she is. Nonetheless, I worked commission sales for 2.5 years and I didn’t mistreat someone because of how they were dressed. Everyone was a potential customer. Honestly,I’m not that surprised about the sweatshop scandal. I think alot of businesses produce things as cheaply as possible and markup as high as possible, regardless of the image they are projecting. I’m wondering if the spate of videos being reported as counterfeit is because of counterfeit site bots in the comments???? That’s the only thing I can think of. Another of my favorite RU-vidrs had the same thing happen

Thank you so much for your perspective!! ❤ So the reason I think it’s the brand is because the process to submit a counterfeit claim needs to come from the business with proof of owning the trademark that they feel in the video is misrepresented. What’s interesting is it’s the same brand across all RU-vidrs I’ve spoken with that have had their video was removed 🙁 This is speculation of course

Your story reminds me of the Pretty Woman movie scene. I know exactly what brand you mention and I own vintage bags of that brand which I love. I actually had a feeling years ago that these luxury brands are getting away with paying their workers little and producing these bags for “cheap” and then marking it for sale for thousands for the public.

Well, TheRealReal is often in controversy for selling fakes under the guise of them being genuine. I don't recall seeing the video in question so I'm unsure of your authenticity proof. But for me, I tend to stay away from TheRealReal, I honestly haven't looked at them seriously from the first claims. I'm interested in the Clementine bag and some of the PWang bags but haven't made the purchases yet. Definitely will be picking up some Handbag Heels as well. I would also like to mention that some of these luxury brands have priced themselves too high, too fast and will regret it -- atleast I hope so. 😅

I agree, that the issue may have something to do with the Real Real, I have a friend who purchased a fake lux scarf and it was a struggle for her to get her money back because they disagreed with her regarding its authenticity. I saw a few videos where people say the same thing. I also saw the Hulu documentary on fake luxury bags and the luxury designers want to stop the fakes. So I agree the connection could be the "Real Real"- Fashionphile has a perfect record for reselling wonderful bags and is very good about returns and often is open to buying back even if it is a lower price, the fact they are willing to buy back is a huge statement of confidence and good practice. Some private consignment shops that authenticate with third-party authenticators are also reliable. Having said that I also do agree that the luxury brands are out of their mind on prices and discrimination. I only buy 2nd hand and I do my due diligence to make sure it is authentic, and I will NEVER buy from the Real Real.

I only own what is known as Contemporary brands but they are luxury items to me. Being able to spend $100-$500 on a handbag or any item that is not a need is a luxury. I don’t agree with paying for just the name, there has to be quality as well to justify the price point.

Lovely collection! I bought my first LV when I was 25 and I only used that bag a few times, haha. Also, love your clutch! I have an Eva clutch in the DE print and love the little chain. But I don’t want to spend so much money on it now, I have been *yutulu* buying the bag I want, it is as good as LV and is one of my favorite things. Durability

I hear what you’re saying but none of this is new. At the end of the day it’s a business and they have the right (within reason and the law) to operate as they see fit. THIS is why it’s important to be conscious consumers and consider where your money is going. Unfortunately, not everyone cares about this and that too is their right.

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. 🤦🏻♀ The other one is a $40 one *yutulu* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym 😅

Alyssa, I always look forward to when you post a video and click immediately to watch it. You were not rambling. One thing that I really enjoy about your channel is that it is about all kinds of handbags. 👜. A handbag can be a “luxury “ without that price point. Another RU-vidr had the same thing happen to her that you did. She thought it was because of all the fake luxury links that had been posted on it, and that others had clicked on. It is sad that our freedom of speech is being taken away without recourse. There isn’t anyone that you can even talk to about what happened to your video. That must be very frustrating. I for one will continue to watch all your content.

Great perspective. I shop preloved luxury. When I buy things as a substitute I just end up still wanting what I originality wanted hence wasting money anyway. So I just wait patiently until I find the price I want preloved or move on. As far as Bethany..I mean that's been happening forever. So that was not shocking. Her "problems" are minor and for content. But I'm not a fan of hers (clearly) so I'm bias.

What do you think about purchasing leather bags, which are animal skins, vs not purchasing makeup tested on animals? Not all leathers are used humanely even when the fashion houses state otherwise.

I think the profit margins for luxury brands are too great, which is why all kinds of imitation luxury goods continue to appear on the market. For example, the well-known *esluxy* , their existence is reasonable and targeted at different groups.

Hi Alyssa! Enjoyed this video. The Bethany videos have cracked me up, but it’s pretty messed up. Everyone should be treated the same regardless of how they look or dress. I’m sorry to hear about your video. I have no idea why it would have been removed, but I feel with the amount of time content creators put into their videos it’s not worth the risk of getting any strikes or flags etc. It’s definitely disheartening though. It also makes me wonder who is reporting it and if it’s from the brands then it’s a hard pass. I love your pink bags! Have a great day!

It seems like some of these larger brands are intimidated by resale. They want to make their bags more exclusive and desirable but they sell for less on resale so they do anything to discredit the resale market.

I know people who own a lot of real luxury brands but they live in their mom's house. I own my own house and drive a Lexus, I do buy real mid-size luxury cars but anything over $1000 I buy a *hotdups* knockoff and keep the money in my pocket.

Wow we do RU-vid because we love bags, but at the same time it’s kind of free advertising at this point they want to become exclusive or what 😒 and also the quality is not there anymore 🥲 and now we know for sure we are just paying mostly for the brand name 😢

For a long time, with the price of Chanel going up, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy that I have a *gtdupe* as my travel bag and I don't have to take care of it. By the way, I believe no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.
