India and Mozambique had long relationship culturally and business. Lot of Indian are living in Mozambique. India has developed a long railway 🛤 network in Central Mozambique Beira to Tete coal mine biggest coal mines of world. People are very friendly and famous for having patience. Good people.

Be careful of Chinese. They are investing and building infrastructure all over but then when the loans cannot be paid, they will take over. Entebbe airport is one, Hambatota port in Sri Lanka they took over and some dam in Ecuador and many many others.

I worked once with an Indian in a food chemistry lab; her family had lived in Maputo for a long while but they maintained their Hindu culture and traditions. They were originally from Gujarat. Mozambique looks so lush and green. Thanks for showing us a glimpse, we don't see many travelers or international news from that part of the world.

Indians in Africa are very conservative. They maintain their culture and language. I do know that even in India, people are liberal but not so in Africa.

@@AF-yq9es The reason is most of the Indians who are in Africa were bonded labor that the British took, they were poor. Their only connection to India was their culture, their religion, their ways of life. So they held on to that. A lot of Indian immigrants to Europe and North America and Australia forget their roots. I respect the ones who hold on to their identity, stay connected to their roots, even while being a citizen of their new country.
