So much wrong here: thanks for speaking up! Aside from the implied racism with the "This is America" comment (which I know and you know what's meant when that happens), there's the driver's attitude and ignorance of laws. You as a pedestrian have the right of way when crossing on a green, and those lights are for you as much as for anyone. I hope the driver who almost hit you gets schooled before she hits somebody: American or not.
I've. always loved Nydia Han on Action News when I saw the article onThe Daily News I didn't know that it was her this happen to Thank You Nydia for what you said and how it was said. You are American your children are American I am now moved to continue watching your great reports along with that award winning smile that accompanies ypur prescence God Bless You.
I go to the arts academy at Benjamin Rush and she came to speak with us. She is one of the nices women ever and this is inspirational. Yelling at an Asian American "This is America" can be taken as racist. Han said that she had encountered things like this before and had stayed quiet. This time she just felt the need to share this one. Worked in her favor ig. So for those of you who told her to suck it up, she did for a long time and she is tired of being quiet.
Not news worthy. Happens all the time. I yell "This is 'Murica, go back to where you came from" at White folks all the time while driving. Confuses the hell out of them.
Nydia Han is one of the sexiest women on TV. So freakin' sexy. Nydia, that blue cap sleeve dress you wore this morning (Saturday Nov. 4th 2017) drives me to distraction. I'm so very sorry about what happened to you in Philly. Many Philadelphians are pretty obnoxious and rude. And by the way I'm glad that you are indeed an American.
shes telling us that a reckless driver in a big huge hurry had time to exchange diaolgue which resulted in a "Racist" spat? and where is the racism? yes this is America.....convincingly enough she also has a well-written eloquent speech prepared.....this is Natasha Nkhama 2017
Marlon Rivas I'm assuming that the two were in a spat, and in the heat of the moment. Who has the chance to come up with something "clever"? I wasn't there just like you. What if each of the women were exchanging verbages to their point and then the driver takes off with the parting jab of "this is America"? Too many what if's, but you miss the point that that statement was uncalled for since it was irrelevant to the point of the argument, which spells out racism.
She is right. But this country is not called America. It is called the United States of America. When she says that she has lived everywhere in America.. This means that she has lived in Mexico, Argentina, El Salvador.........because all these are in America.
