All these extreme hiking videos and extreme mountain clmbing videos and extreme scrambling videos and extreme biking videos and ... the most vexed I've ever seen you is looking for a damn pencil. Relatable.
We previously owned a Nissan Armada, which we loved but the gap next to the center console became infamously known as the ‘black hole of Armada. Forceps would have been a welcome addition to our glove box. Another great video Tristan! As always looking forward to seeing the next one. 👍
you beat me too it haha I do the exact same thing, plus the bonus of having that towel if you need it. The auto aftermarket sells long skinny trays that fit in the gap too but the fit is probably so so.
I'm glad you were able to get the pencil, it's those little things that hold special places in our heart because they remind us of our loved ones that have passed on, I have two glass mixing bowls that my mom used all the time.
First time I’ve seen you with the endorphins flowing! Put ride on my List. If it’s that great for you, I will ❤ it. Pizza & a milkshake..THIS is why I follow you☮️
Great place u went too,yes you can go from a desert to pines and mountains in 2 hours. I luve in southwest NM and I can go into the mountains in 2 hrs. Love my state of many outdoor activities, not to far to go. Great video!
After traveling all over the US, and parts of the world. We settled down in Los Lunas for that very reason. Also with a six to eight hour drive you can be many great areas of the southwest.
I could never be as adventurous as you!! You go to places that i know I could never do. Even with my bike riding experience there is no way I would do that trail on anything but my feet. The trail is just too narrow with cliffs on each side. 😮. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures!
I highly recommend getting the Dropstop seat gap fillers. They are a lifesaver for me because I always drop everything down the side of my seat and it stops things from falling into the black hole.
I love that area and now have one more reason to go back and check it out. Thank you for the footage on the trail. And thank you for making this video so relatable to those of us who have been on road trips that involved inordinate amounts of time searching for something "that was just there a minute ago" or slipped into a dark abyss around the console.
Thank you for putting out these quality videos every week, I understand it's not easy. Thank you for that idea of using forceps to pluck stuff under the seat, it happens to me all the time. Now I know what to do. I could tell your an honest, good man your family is blessed, so are your viewers. Take care out there & more power to you.
Wow - that looked like SO much fun! My mountain biking days are much milder now so I appreciate being able to live it vicariously through you. And I got a kick out of your pencil-fishing expedition.
Very cool bike trail! Thanks for another cool adventure. Would love to see more forest trail hikes when the weather improves. Thanks again Tristan! Glad you recovered the pencil. 😊
I am also a grandmother and I use to feel the same way but I have come to realize he is a very capable young man and like he says we are watching the video. ❤
We started watching Tristan before he had this successful channel, and his adventuresome spirit was always frighteningly amazing. We learned early on to just know if we were seeing the video - he got out alive! A totally and truly amazing person in every way.
there's way more risk in the daily city life than what Tristan is doing. I really wish people would understand that hiking is a generally safe activity
That trail looked really cool. Definitely appropriately named the dragons back. And oh my God Tristan I’m laughing so hard at the pencil between the seats. That happens to me in the FJ all the time. And I can totally relate to your attachment with that pencil. I still have a pen that I use that used to belong to my father from his work. It’s the best pen ever. lol cheers my friend 😀
Wow, that trail looks pretty technical! It’s been years since I’ve been on my mountain bike, I probably would be walking through much of what you rode through… Great video! Very scenic
Loved the bike ride (not that I would ever do it) but my favorite part was your fishing trip for the pencil. Thanks for the tip about the forceps. I need those for my car!
That was epic, biking on that narrow ridge! Loved the drone footage! The pencil retrieval had me laughing😅 But I get it, I've had to do the same many times 😅
Wow another great video! Your bike ride was awesome & yes, it would be a good hiking trail also. From Ogden I’ve driven down to NM several times. Just find that area so enchanting. Thanks for sharing call your adventures with us!!!! Keep them coming!!!
HI TRISTAN 👋 GORGEOUS SCENERY COLORS LANDSCAPES VIEWS ! GREAT VIDEO / DRONE FOOTAGE 📹 BE SAFE ☺️ 🙏HAVE FUN ☺️ 🙏❤ENJOYED ☺️ 🙏 GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON YOUR ADVENTURES ☺️ 🙏 THANK YOU ☺️ 🙏 THE TRAIL WAS PRETTY EXCITING & KEEP YOUR MIND / EYES ON WHAT YOU'RE DOING / GOING ☺️ 🙏 MY BICYCLE SHOT I GOTTEN MY GRANDSON 'S MOUNTAIN BIKE FROM SAID IT'S EASIER JUST HAVING TO SHIFT THE REAR DILLRAILLER & ONCE YOUR LEGS GET STRONGER CHANGE OUT THE FRONT SPOCKET TO GIVE HIM A LITTLE BIT MORE POWER LESS PEDDLING , ALSO DEPENDING WHERE YOU RIDE TOO .☺️ 🙏
You can block the crevase with a towel, or pillow for that purpose. Or rubber cement reusable plastic bag on seat and console with lift handle. The rubber/cement bag solution oonly works if the seat isn't moved much.
Great video! This trail has been on my bucket list for at least a few years now, definitely want to bike it the next time I'm back out west and in that area. Also, I particularly enjoy your videos when you incorporate stuff like kayaking and mountain biking in your SUV RVing adventures. Sure there's other channels dedicated to mountain biking and kayaking, but very few if any actually incorporate those activities into the whole SUV/RV/Van life routine.
The hemostats are a great idea! I too, lose stuff between the console and the driver's seat...most often my car keys and sunglasses. A real pain to retrieve them!
Thanks for the "ear worm". I've been trying to come up with all the lyrics: "Yikes, stripes! Beechnut's got 'em." Guess I'll have to google so I can put the worm to rest. Oh, yeah! Great video as usual!!
We call the area with the Dragon's Back Ridgeline White Mesa. It's a well-used area for trail running and mountain biking. The network of trails offers a lot of variety. I can picture where you went off in the wrong direction on the way back but be assured that there is a trail that's much less aggressive. If anyone goes, be aware that the area can get extremely hot and there are no water sources out there.
Here's hoping one of your upcoming videos is from Chaco! I wish I knew of this trail while I was still roaming the countryside. I really enjoyed this one.
I think trips to the few outliers that are part of the park would be interesting. Whenever I visit them there are never more that one other party there. Often I am the only visitor.
...and yet another "Want to go" pin added to my google maps, this time the hoodoo trail! It seems like there's so many amazing things off US 550 between ABQ and Farmington that need checked out.
