This is an amazing work project of the blacksmith and his assistant. They make a high quality shovel from a broken tractor disc plough. This shovel is better than those which you can buy from the markets I bet because those are not made from high quality steel like this one.

Every time I saw shovel my back pain already, we had snow 100" total in a year, could be 9 times 11 inch per snow, my car,wife's car and kids cars at both driveway to clean for 3 hrs.

Facts. I am new to the trade and I thought I would just be able to get the metal hot and simply beat it into a knife shape.. but I was wrong I need better hammer etc and lots of practice

the bulge on flat part should be 2x longer/half the lenght of flat part also that handle have to go through the hole and under the flat part

Work done by the hands of man are more accurate and are better than all the machines that he makes. For instance, you will not get the quality of structure in the steel moved by a forge press over many hammer blows and consecutive heats using coal to heat the metal. The grains of the steel will become more refined and combined better by hammers used by careful hands.

Like your work,but please think about removing the bur from your Anvil those can break of and hit someone deadly or blind them permanent and maybee installing the saftey guard in your angle grinder. Anyway have a nice day and keep on hammering
