This Is Aqua’s Revenge?! | Oshi No Ko Chapter 154 Review 

The more I see this unfold, the harder Ai's death really hits... the Hoshino family did not deserve this cruel fate of unfortunate circumstances.... all four of them deserve better!!!! 😭

Now that I think about it, NOW it makes sense why Ai waited a few years to talk to Hikaru to meet her children, with that lie and lifting the burden on Hikaru, she was hoping Hikaru could heal instead of breaking like she saw how on the edge of that he was, and after he healed they could finally live together as a family... things just didn't go as Ai thought they would... damn

Ai resorting to her greatest weapon of all time: Lying

I think Hikaru was telling the truth when he said he didn’t mean to kill Ai. I mean Hikaru probably thought the guy was obsessed with Ai in a similar way that Gorou was like how was Hikaru supposed to know that he would kill Ai? Hikaru was probably just sad that had Ai left him but he shared his feelings with the wrong person. Which to me makes their story even more tragic I couldn’t imagine accidentally killing the person I cared about most in the world. Fun fact: if you look closely at Aqua in this chapter you can see that he’s ears are pierced

I don't feel bad for Hikaru, not after his choices but I do understand in why he wanted Ai to understand his despair. It's twisted and sick and yet I'm here hoping in another universe they live happily without any trauma. Side note, Aqua is...wow he's certainly one smart and cruel mf.

This entire conversation/interview between Aqua and Hikaru just keeps on being more unexpected. Bummed that Oshi No Ko is nearing its end but I’m glad to see all loose ends being confronted.

Hikaru's words are too many lies. He killed Yura, hid Goro's body, and tried to kill Ruby, who Ai loves. Hikaru is a liar actor certified by Ai

Ai rejecting hikaru makes sense given the circumstances , Ai thought she would just burden hikaru and ai made a mistake leaving hikaru leaving him in despair where hikaru needed solace from Ai that lead to hikaru being unrational sending psycopath to her house eventually killing the one he loved and now he has to live regret also suffer that he could not understand Ai completely as he would have imagine , aqua did say he wants hikaru to suffer not kill him right away now there are some loose ends that needs to tied up like what's the deal with child God ? i really like this chapter and also first ep. of S2 looks Great .

I've thought we're going for a full arc of Hikaru accepting the investigation but still being dodgy. Nope, two main mysteries done in one go, the main antagonist is mentally destroyed, and the filming is wrapping up. It really hits hard, though. So I guess from now on they'll just show the movie as an epilogue. Wait, did Aqua knew all the answers the entire time?

The last page shows Ruby ready to storm the room if things go south, maybe she's packing a Glock XD Kidding aside, if this chapter gets animated, the last page of this chapter would be the PERFECT time to play Mephisto (1st season's ending song) then the credits roll. It's quite sad to see the what-if scenes if Ai did not die like the family going outside. Also saddened by the fact that Hikaru only wanted Ryosuke to scare Ai but the idiot dialed it up to eleven by stabbing Ai... Too bad it's another break but hey, they (Aka and Mengo) deserved it for giving us this great chapter.

Ok yeah Ai loved Hikaru or at least wanted to. Very sad indeed BUT... he still m*rdered Yura Katayose and likely wanted to do the same to Ruby and Akane... plus he has a strange alliance with Nino for some reason so there's more in Kamiki to just be treated as a tragic character... Also if this is all of Aqua's vengeance I find no reason to Akane's worries. She seemed very concerned about Aqua's revenge path and wanted to stop him at all costs. Making a film about your m*rderer father is just not so self destructive.... so maybe there's more in this that Aqua and Hikaru are not showing...

I'm glad Aqua finally got his revenge. Not only did he make the 15-Year Lie movie to ruin Hikaru's career, but he also showed him the DVD to break him mentally. But I sense this isn't over yet. In return, Hikaru would likely attempt to take someone close to Aqua down the drain with him.

I think that the revenge that Aqua will get is that Hikaru will most likely kill himself

Dammit Ai i know you can't help it, why did you have to lie 💀😭. Hikaru was probably expecting Aqua to kill him for revenge. Hikaru placing His hand on Ai's on the monitor, clearly shows my man literally regret everything he has done 💀😭

In real life, some simple communication could have cleared that up, but since Hikaru was 15 and Ai 16 they had NONE of those communication skills when it comes to a relationship. They were both abused physically and sexually. So they both didn't know what love is. Still, Aqua confronting Hikaru with the DVD of Ai asking Aqua to help his "father" if he is still "lost" was showing Hikaru how bad he messed up. Hikaru wanted Ai to hurt as much as he did which is spite by giving the address to Ai's stalker. HIkaru really thought the stalker was going to "scare" her, but instead he killed her and it most likely broke HIkaru to the point of killing others. We haven't gotten to that part yet, but the biggest thing from this chapter is Hikaru's reaction. His face of "what have I done" is the biggest thing that came from this chapter. If he had not been so spiteful, maybe Hikaru could have gotten a second chance with Ai and actually met his kids on better terms.

I'm pretty happy with this reveal, since this is almost exactly what I expected. Ai used her 'lies are love' concept on Hikaru, he fell for it, and she asked her kids to show him the truth. Only part I seem to have gotten wrong is that I assumed Aqua wanted to use this reveal to push Hikaru to suicide, but if Ai asked them to save Hikaru then that's almost certainly not going to happen, which to be fair does make Aqua and Ruby seem like better people than if they'd pushed a man to kill himself, even if his death would be satisfying for us.

Man kinda understand now why Hikuru did to probably save Ai. But man to dedicate a whole movie to the man thay killed her is a different kind of love .i dtill want to know why Hikaru killing innocent girls other that no one can be better than Ai.

This whole time Hikaru meant to “troll” AI by having her address publicly revealed to a crazed stalker in attempts to startle her and make AI feel some type of emotion of fear which failed because AI died loving not only Aqua and Ruby but Hikaru. She died smiling with that lie and not exhibiting any type of fear. Hikaru failed twice.

I also Can’t stop laughing, stupid he must’ve felt at that moment man I truly am one messed person and yet I can feel is pain and nothing I feel almost nothing. It’s weird. I was so hyped and I was ready to cry and yet all I feel is nothing.

I honestly don’t care if people disagree or not, THIS IS THE BEST CHAPTER OF OSHI NO KO AND I WILL DIE ON THAT HILL!!!😤 Like I’ve been saying over and over that Hikaru Legitimately has the potential to become one of if not the BEST new gen Villains of all time, And one of the BEST written characters of all time, And this chapter just PROVES it all. I honestly feel sorry for everyone who’s missing out on my boys story. It kinda sucks that we have to wait 2 weeks to see Hikaru’s reaction to all this. But regardless of whatever he does end up feeling about all this, I’m VERY glad that we finally got this chapter. As it made me just want to BALL my eyes out, and do the Isagi Scream from the first episode of Blue Lock.

The last few lines of Idol now hits differently "I, I said it at last I know it's not a lie as I'm voicing these words I love you"

I predicted that Ai loved Hikaru but wasn't sure if she did so she broke up with him and it came true! Just with an added layer of the pregnancy being a burden on Hikaru. I wonder what life would have been like for Ai and Hikaru if somehow Ai had retired as an idol after a few years and got back together with him to raise their kids together. The true villain was the entertainment industry all along. I hope you also make videos on the anime. Will look forward to Chapter 155 regardless.

I feel bad for Ai and Hikaru because Hikaru thought no one could love him and thought Ai didn't either and Ai because she actually did and she still died and that makes me sad they could been a happy family. Now I just see more similarities between Ai x Hikaru and Aquakane because Ai made the mistake of thinking Aqua and Ruby would be a burden for him cause he had a lot to deal with when all he wanted was to be with her just how Akane made the mistake of carrying out revenge when all Aqua wanted was to be with her and to have Akane safe and How Aqua framed himself as the bad guy during the break up with the whole tracker and Ai did the same all to keep Hikaru and Akane safe.

Somehow.. I can relate to their (Ai and Hikaru) relationship and how it ended. Similar with my ex, I am the Hikaru in this moment.. man :((

Sorry for the late comment. To be honest, I wasn't expecting Ai to explain the actual reason why she Hikaru until I saw chapter 154. She really did love him, she just didn't want to see him on the verge of a breakdown when dealing with a second family born from his blood.

This was probably the most painful chapter ever.

Hikaru’s backstory is really tragic in its own way (someone who wanted genuine love but was only liked for his looks and status and was heavily taken advantage of), but it 100% doesn’t excuse not only having Ai killed but becoming a serial killer in the process. I don’t know how this whole situation is going to end but I know for a fact that Hikaru isn’t going to get away with this scot-free

Aqua and Ruby holding hands in the opening feels so wrong after the whole drama, the twins holding hands, and being so close to each other in the opening feel so wrong God have mercy 😂😅😓😥😰😨😱😩

Me when I saw the panel of Hikaru at 4:18 : *It was at this moment, he knew... he fucked up.* Seriously, what a great and emotional chapter! That one panel with Hikaru and Ai with Ruby and Aqua as babies really got me! IF ONLY!!! 😭😭😭 Part of me still thinks this isn't the end of the revenge plot though. I mean, the final arc can't just end after 2 chapters, leading me to think that something might happen. Yes, I think Hikaru potentially being arrested is a possibility, but maybe he will either find a way to get out on his own or someone might help him, most likely being Nino, since we haven't seen her helping Hikaru too much. Now, remember a theory I posed not too long ago? It was about Ruby potentially forgiving Hikaru. Well, maybe Ruby could be the one to get Hikaru out of jail. Maybe Ruby listening on Aqua and Hikaru's conversation could have Ruby feeling conflicted and not knowing what to do for a while, wether she should be happy her father's in jail or maybe she could feel like there's a piece of this puzzle that's missing. I could see her maybe having a conversation with one of the other characters, (Taiki, Crow Girl, etc.) and that ultimately gets her to try and move on from the past and forgive her father, maybe even going so far as to try and get him out of jail to hear him out. She might even get help from some of the other characters too! I don't know who might try and help her though, so let me know who might help Ruby help Hikaru get out of jail. But, that's just what I think! I'm curious to hear your thoughts on my theory. Do you think Ruby will forgive her father? Will Hikaru get out jail? Let me know! I mentioned this in my previous comment, that it's very important for teenagers to have self-esteem, and take proper decisions. I said that if Hikaru felt his love was one-sided, then surely so were his assumptions about Ai. But Ai was the same. She decided everything one-sidedly, on her own. Hikaru was the father, he obviously had an important role to play. The way she worded those words surely must've hurt him. Actually, what Hikaru felt from Ai's words were not misinterpreted, the way Ai said "I can't even", anyone would've felt the same. Then again, this is what we call immaturity. Teenagers. They didn't share it with anyone, decided everything on their own and in the end the result was something like this. Oshi no ko is at peak NOW. Aka has shown us what it was all about, it feels like a full circle moment. All the crazy chapters leading to this reveal. It's truly beautiful. Ai was the exact opposite of what all those influenced by her felt. And this is something I felt as well, everytime Ai said her "I love you" was a lie, I felt myself thinking that she pays more emphasis on the word love than others. How can it be a lie then? Ai's story just revolved on reaching that true "I love you", and in her final moments, she achieved that. But she loved Hikaru as well. And she loved her children too, "As a 15 year old, do you think my words were a lie?" It ended tragically. And yet, there's a catch. If Hikaru never intended for the stalker to kill Ai, why would he not live in remorse? He doesn't look guilty at all. He's continuing his killing spree, and never even tries to look out for his children. The writing here needs to be elaborated. Ai loved Hikaru but didn't express it. And Hikaru says he loved her, but she died because of him and he didn't mean it. But the emotions are lacking, all along he has been lurking behind the kids or the other actresses, saying vague things. It's weird.

Honestly I sympathize with, Hikaru the most here. Like I don't agree with anything he's done but the man was clearly mentally fragile due to his trauma. Ai, leaving him was the thing that finally broke him and the things, Ai said didn't help even if she didn't mean them in that way. Which is also why I don't like, Aqua's last line saying this was revenge for not understanding her because like...it ain't exactly easy to understand, Ai considering everything about her but I'm probably reading too deep into that part.

This chapter was completly unexpected!!!! 😯 I felt sad because kamiki.... But this revenge is was more deserved and worse than death itself. Hoshino family was an Very tragic family..... Ok I loved this. It’s heartbreaking and more than what I ever thought it would be. I guess the question though is where do you go from here. The entire series has been building up to this moment. So where now? Fallout is my guess. I don’t think Hikaru himself will go after Ruby or Aqua. I think after this he’s going to be too guilt ridden especially to go after Ruby who in some ways is a lot like Ai. The logical answer is the dome. And it has to be successful this time. To fulfill that wish of B-Komichi before Kana leaves. But from there who knows. It will probably show the dark side of entertainment one more time though and probably give further clarity on the Crow Girl’s purpose.

Ai probably thought Hikaru could also see through lies, but he couldn't. Based on his dark history with Airi, I think Hikaru unconsciously thought Ai was the same as her. But he couldn't understand Ai's words, It shows how badly Hikaru was traumatized by the nature around him. Ai's choice of words "I mean you're handsome," "But being with you forever is too much for me, I guess?" Those hit Hikaru hard, I don't blame Hikaru for misunderstanding her words. These words were indirectly direct. Ai could've chosen a different pair of words, but she is also not very understanding of them, so I don't blame her either. Anyway, I think whatever happened was inevitable, except the death of Ai, which happened with an unwelcome character, 'Ryunosuke' was at fault. Which gave Aqua and Ruby a different way of thinking at the beginning.

For me, at this point, this is no longer a revenge story about a son seeking revenge against his own father but rather a story about a family that was badly destroyed by the darkside of Entertainment Industry. The Kamikis deserved better. 😔

What breaks me the most about all this is that I expected almost. every. single. thing. Like fr, I don’t remember who I talked with but as we were nearing the end of the movie arc and everything, I made this joke I think to my uncle who also watches anime and manga, about imagine now there is a hidden scene where we see Ai speaking and saying she actually loved Hikaru and that she wanted the best for him and their new family before the killing happens. It’s so heart crushing that despite getting all the answers to the stuff we've been wondering since the beginning of this manga/anime, we are actually getting to see the crushing reality behind everything through Ai's perspective, Hikaru's and the twins. Seriously, I was expecting this, I hoped for this to happen, and now that I have it and have seen it, I feel like my soul left my body, like, what else is left? Should I continue till the end or just drop here? What am I gonna do now? 😭

We can draw parallels between Akane and Ai, and Hikaru and Aqua. Ai said, "I wanted to carry the burden with him, I wanted to be with him forever." And Akane said this to Aqua, "I told you didn't I? I want to carry your burden with you." ❤ And what's more, both these pretty girls had absolutely no experience in dating. Aqua was her first, and so was Hikaru. But more importantly, Ai wanted to save Hikaru, just like Akane did. Akane truly is, just perfect for Aqua. 💙 And guess what? Another parallel is this: Both these love stories have already ended, they didn't end up together.

I’m still on guard about Hikaru. I wanted to believe he’s lying given the other people he killed. But at the same point, killing Ai unintentionally may be his breaking point into madness. But to send a proxy just to “scare her”? That sounds too hard to believe. But now we see a clear picture why Ai broke up. Its not because of her being inconsiderate, but the guilt she carried from being a burden to Hikaru. I guess in the end, neither of them knew what they were doing in the relationship. Both experienced their first genuine love and even so, both didnt know how to convey it properly. Guess we’ll see soon whether Hikaru’s words are truly genuine or not, because we still yet to know the cause of his murder on other people.

Maybe Ai was the first victim he didn't intend to kill and goes haywire because of guilt so he doesn't let anyone reach the peak of their careers like Ai? At first I thought he was some god who suck lifeforce from a star in their peak to get younger considering how young he is

This part of the CDs I really hope for a good explanation since it doesn't make sense Ai having recorded this a long time ago, even a few years since she was very young, it looks like she would know how to die, it's strange of course unless Ai recorded the CDs one time after she called Hiraku since she left after that makes sense since she was just being cautious not knowing what Hiraku could do but if it was recorded before it's really very strange even though I've read the chapter more than once and always move me with the chapter

I feel like Nino is probably going to be the big bad in this story since again she's been around ai a lot longer then Hikaru and if you think about it were is she during this chapter? I mean if we think could she be the one to kill kana after all she is playing as Nino in the movie and with some heavy hints that kana is in danger then imagine being killed by the person your acting

Just saying, but it would look interesting if Ruby coming into the room with a knife and trying to kill her father. Hikaru taking the knife and killing himself. He could tell Aqua to give him the camera and he would record his last words and like after the Ai DVD record it would play in the theaters.

I mean sure in an Idol's perspective it's a given that you would have to protect the people you were close to hence why Ai had to lie on Hikaru saying they couldn't be together as alot of the times people can ruin the life of an idol by just posting a crucial evidence and Ai didn't want her secrets to be revealed so Hikaru like he would do wanted Ai to suffer and yet made a fatal mistake with that suffering considering Pregnant Ai was also suffering alot too and now Hikaru has to deal with the harsh truth from Ai's message as a form of love and protection... All I can say is this chapter is certified peak

Imma be honest, I'm not watching the anime so this is really the only way I'm keeping up with this series so thank you sir! But I have to say after the ruby x aqua sht I was ready to jump ship and mean JUMP. But the way it bounced back after that is really cool.

Its definetely not the end of hikaru here, something doesn't feel right, I feel like someone IS gonna die, someone close to aqua, I doubt its Ruby tho although thats an option still open. It could be either Kana or Akane(or Hikaru for all we know and his current mental state), we hardly heard of akane and her plans on stopping aqua's revenge since Kana's confession scene, I doubt theyre gonna leave it just that I mean the final arc JUST STARTED barely a chapter ago. Although a happy ending with everyone alive doesnt seem bad at all

I really hope we get an alternate version where AI does not break up with Hikaru, and actually sort out their problems together and raise Aqua and Ruby together and live as a happy family. All four of them deserve to live happily they did not deserve this much sadness and misery. They deserved so much better The four of them deserve to live as a happy family 😭

It’s insane to me how this just goes to show how Some entertainers in this case Ai, lies make them look stronger and much cooler to look at. Some people will want to reach for that light and depend on it absorbing their content and creating our own version of that person. However, Ai was nothing like she shows she is. She is just a genuinely hard working orphan who’s trying her best to understand the things she never had, love and a family. She is just like any human frail and confused, but it’s in her flaws that makes her more sincere and considerate towards others. No one can lie to Ai cause every lie was a lie Ai already said in one point in her life. The irony of Ai creating a timeless love letter despite not understanding what it is, is the best way to conclude Who Ai is as a person genius writing that really understands the heart of their character.

I imagine we’re hit with a twist that it was actually ruby disguised as Ai and not the original video. Cuz they did seem a little crazy when they were talking about revenge. But thats probably my trauma after reading boy’s abyss. No way aka akasaka would do that to us.

Well,I didn't expect the fight to break out between the two,this is not that type of manga(although,Nisekoi managed to pull out Shonen level fight despite being a romcom slice of life manga so....). Although,it's not over yet. Honestly,I would not be surprised if Hikaru decides to off him self due to guilt,cause I ain't seeing him reconciling with twins even if Dr Strange gives me the ability to see into infinite possible futures,it ain't feasible...Still hoping for the ending where Aqua and Kana present their purple haired daughter they named Ai to the gang and we're not getting an answer is it or is it not the reincarnation of original Ai(story don't get to contradict it self and we're still get satisfying ending)

Nah, the story is far from being over. They still don't know he turned into serial killer, with Nino helping him from the side. This is awful, these kids need to get away from ASAP.

So basically the father thought ai never loved him when he is very obsessed with ai. Ai said she can't love him because he was going to the dark side. Aqua after knowing the full truth made the movie to make Hikari confess everything and put him through mental emotional hell from her confession. We need more

Bruh my jaw dropped reading this chapter, I feel bad for all 4 of them. However something is still bothering me. What happen to that one former B-komachi member who was working with hikaru. I wonder if she would do anything if hikaru get arrested.

I spent almost 13 hours straight last day reading the manga from the first chap to chap 153. I fried my eyes and brain but it was worth it
