If Insomniac is planning to make their own Marvel Gaming Universe, it sure seems that way. With Spiderman and Wolverine confirmed, the New Fantastic Four can shape to be what the Avengers are to the MCU. That would be an epic endeavor in my opinion.

New game plus should have been in the game at the very start. Spider-man miles mills hade it from the start, so why did Marvel Spider-Man 2 don't have it at the start?

In the Chameleon side quest ending inside the apartment, the Piano starts playing Moonlight Sonata, an obvious reference to Web of Shadows. In the FNSM side mission when Peter sees the photographer on the rooftop and sees his first front page cover, during the flashback fight Peter screams something like “I’m gonna throw some dirt….in your face! And in your eyes!”, which subtly references Tobey’s “I’m gonna put some dirt in your eye” from Spider-Man 3
At one of the photo ops, there are two cat mascots that have Spidey masks on. If you look closely, the cat named “Copycat Mascot” has a Scarlet Spider mask, while the other has a regular Peter Parker spider-man mask. This is a direct reference to the scarlet spider being a clone of Peter Parker as well as a reference to the clone conspiracy comic book storyline
During spiderbot mission, when Peter catches the scarlet spider bot, he say "in some other life i would have rocked this look", which is a callback to Ben being his clone.
Slight spolier: If you finish the spiderbots mission. Theres a hint at the spider-verse. The final mission for that is going to a wall that opens a hexagon portal (same as the spiderverse movies) where a bar tender with the unique comics animation style references "miguel" (spiderman 2099).

Found a nice little nod at the old Spider-Man 2 game pizza mission. Not sure how well known this little easter egg is, but if you go to the Pizza Amigos parlor in Astoria, the song from the pizza delivery mission is playing. If you open the map and close out, it switches between a few different tracks.
Also sidenote in the first insomniac spider-man game the generic enemies in all factions are only males,but in the Miles Morales and 2 there are female regular enemies in the mixs
You forgot the now in-ruins X-Mansion at the top of Astoria In a future update, I'd love the ability to enter Miles' apartment/May's house whenever we want. Hell, May's House is completely rendered inside when you approach it. Would love to go back to Coney Island and do some of the rides/games there again, especially since Miles didn't get the chance to in the story.
There is a reference to lesser known spidey villain Stegron, if you go to Dr. Connors oscorp lab. His name is at the folder at the last table you can interact with before finding the meteorite.
The Baxter Building is where Fisk Tower used to be, but Fisk Tower is also still in the game. It’s East-Southeast of the Empire State Building and what used to be the Chrysler Building. Speaking of the Chrysler Building, it needs to be put in the game. It’s arguably more iconic than the Empire State Building and it’s a shame that the copyright holders won’t allow it to be used.
Super excited for DLC and new game plus. Just got my platinum in 27 hours which admittedly is a little short considering most people have said it took them 30-40 but still enjoyed the game a lot.
Fun fact about 0:36 when they are throwing the shield; those two guys and the frisbee can be seen in a lot of locations including Central Park and they will be in the path for the emf bike mission
There's been at least 3 city ending events over the span of around a year throughout the 3 Spiderman games. Yet the avengers (not even 1) couldn't be bothered to make an appearance to help out. They just like nahh our boy Pete got this 😂
There's a lot of game opportunities for Insomniac, we could get an Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four game from them although that would be highly unlikely.
Not sure if it counts as an easter egg but if you go to the Upper West Side, near the glass house/tennis court, there's a lawn with people picnicking. There's a couple talking some non-sense that I find it funny, and if you stayed in front of them, they'll call you weird lol
That last reference was kind of interesting. Chat noir is actually the name of another superhero from a kids show called Miraculous: tales of ladybug and cat noir. They’re kind of a European spoof of Spider-Man and Black cat that takes place in Paris.
My grandmother had a little Tournée Du Chat Noir poster on the wall in her stairwell. Can’t believe this video and Spider-Man just reminded me of that.
Is it possible that the mansion on the top right corner of the map by Peter's neighborhood is secretly the X-Men Mansion? Just a thought as they are all in New York and there are no other mansion on the map.

When you join a crime with miles as peter and when you finish it, you can interact with miles and one of the interactions is the two pointing at each other which is an obvious reference to the original 2 spidermen meme.
A small easter egg / reference i've found: if you find gwen's spider bot as peter he will mention something about her death in TASM 2. I died of laughter when I've got it.
Do you know that that there is a spiderverse reference where after collecting every spiderbot you go to a portal with a bar on the other side and the bartender takes all the spiderbots and mentions Miguel

Felicia going to Paris might also be a reference to another superhero called Chat Noir from the Miraculous Ladybug series. He's a hero in Paris and his name literally translates to "Black Cat"
What a great game just got platinum on it about an hour ago,my only complaint is I want more 😂 I really hope we get some dlc instead of waiting another 5 years for Spider-Man 3
If i had to make a big ass assumtion its that johnny storm will be in sm3 because i know him and spidey do team up alot also because the bag-man suit was removed from the game yet the ff move in in this game.
I just found a secret cool little visual glitch. I was doing one of those bird side activities and at the end when you destroy the bird, there's a split second where you're able to activate your ultimate if your meter is full. So I did with miles and the cutscene started before the ultimate actually went off, but the electricity surrounding him persisted not only though the cutscene but also DURING GAMEPLAY. It looks really sick with some of the futuristic suits and you can even change suits and it will stay. Pretty cool
Guys please everyone tweet at insomniac so we can get an option to have the you know what suit grow onto whatever suit your wearing (not like a different version for each suit but just that suit becomes the you know what suit like when you use your rage mode.
Just say Venom suit man, it's not a spoiler, you literally can't avoid knowing that you get the venom suit in the game as they've shown it everywhere, including on the box art.
