Let’s be real: J. Cole backed out, and everyone laughed at them for it, but it was probably the smartest move of his career. Dude saw the writing on the wall.
@@soejejeoszozoYeah, but Drake telegraphed he had this track in the chamber so Cole probably saw where Drake was going with this and didn't want to get pulled into it. It's like two people you know are arguing and you originally start to be a part of it and all the sudden one of them starts talking about some dark as hell shit. . . Yeah, probably best to just slowly back away and let them hash it out
Yeah I wonder how long he’s been carrying that weak ass elementary kindergarten diss in his pocket for haha actually that’s all he has is short jokes.. whoops HAD* not has.. I believe the next one will actually break the neck of the wounded deer.
Jermaine Jackson was a popular member of the Jackson Five in the 1970s. He was eventually outshined by Michael. Jermaine attempted a solo career (80s) but never reached Michael's popularity. Side note: All the Jacksons were about the same complexion, Michael changed.
@Fnubee I'm aware of their original completions. The lyrics referenced completion and siblings. Obviously aimed at skin bleached Michael Jackson. I was pointing out more double entendres that he missed.
You workin OT bruh! I just seen that b4 i posted what PC was you had already got to it... Nice! Im from Windsor Ont, Canada but i lived back and forth between here and the D. Didnt know if they called it PC state side. Keep doin what you doing bruh!
Basically… Like that was a strong jab, push ups was like a roundhouse kick, euphoria was combinations, 6:16 was a slap like “ok stop playing” family matters was the gloves coming off but meet the grahams was “Kenny had a knife the whole time”
@@user-pc5cm5ek2syou can do both. Back-to-back was a diss track and I hit what's got nominated for a Grammy. That's what happens when you're multi-talented
Adding to the breakdown: the obvious bar PC - for protective custody. Sometimes I skip past the obvious lines and start looking for the doubles/layers to explain and then forget to come back to the original. Tired brain FTW
I don't blame you bro, i was warching ur reaction after midnight South sfrican time, a few hours later this dropped, went to sleep for an hour and kendrick had responded. KENDRICK AND DRAKE got you working overtime. Dont mind the late comments, ur breakdowns are worth the weight (i know u see that).
Cole looking like Nostrafuckindamus right now probably somewhere singing kumbaya (Edit: wish he could've foreseen that awfull Grippy shii as well tho')
Drake releasing family matters and then Kendrick immediately dropping meet the grahams really proves that Kendrick wasn’t lying when he said “I can predict your angles “.
@@222JTDrake has a daughter and kid on the lil durk all my life music video too Kendrick already proved he got inside info ovo has rats drake going down sad
someone is telling what is going on in drakes camp and telling Kendrick. Drake diss was already made so someone leaked it to Kendrick that's how Kendrick responded so fast lol
@@ravensfan7200everyone is talking about the cover art and his sleeping pills and ozempic…? Like yeah a celebrity can get some good drug prescriptions.
the pendant at the beginning is not a snake. It's a replica of the 50 Cent G-Unit spinning pendant that jeweler Johnny Dang made for Drake. That ties in with Drake's earlier diss track Push Ups that starts out with the DJ Whoo Kid tag. Whoo Kid is a G-Unit affiliate.
Not hating on other reaction channels but man, you can't compare... knox is actually breaking things down, he's not jumping around screaming "oh no you didn't! oh no he dead! Oh no it's over ma boooiii!" This right here is gold, take all your time man ;) family matters indeed eheh
Knox is the professor for sure. There are some great reactors that all bring different things. I’ve been loving In the Cluth for the “party” reactions. They have been PUMPED AF. Lol (But totally genuine.) Flawd’s an underrated one too as far as breakdowns.
@@Thekarmic scru face and imdontai are pretty solid ngl personality, facts, comedic timing and an interesting pov as they're both also rappers and have been in the game for a WHILE
In the beginning when drake says "PC" it's not politically correct.. its protective custody.. that's where snitches in prison get moved to.. but he called him a civilian in PC so he's saying ur a nobody and ur protected by people around you
These tracks aren’t meant to convert Drake fans into Kendrick fans and Kendrick fans into Drake fans. I think each group is pretty set on who they like. But it is interesting seeing comments calling out Drake for being surface level. Like has he ever not been surface level? They’re very obviously two different artist who express in different ways.
Thats my real point with this. Drake has always been this dude, he didn't really switch up... The last time we saw a major change in him os somewhere between Take Care and IYRTITL.
To all these people claiming you're late, not that you need to be told but bro ignore them. You're by far the best break down channel on RU-vid, Knox. Us real ones don't mind to wait for the best 🙏🙏
When you put your hands on your girl, Is it self defense because she’s bigger than you, Your back is up against the curb, You digging for dirt should be digging for proof. This right here can tarnish a man’s reputation.
as opposed to calling someone a pedo? i guess drake fans be turning into pedo apologists and know suspiciously too much about the age of consent laws..
Idk how…. Kendrick comes from the ghetto. If he did, yea that’s fucked up. But anyone who’s lived like that knows shit goes down. But Kendrick’s disses fucking decimate anything Drake has said. Drakes disses basically say “fuck you” rarely has substance. They’re all just shit talking. Kendrick has FIRE. And Drakes been overcooked. Drake barely seared Kdot.
@@smososoms Two things can be true at once. Drake can be a predator piece of crap, Lamar can be a woman beating piece of crap. What's the point of comparing assholes? Both finna be whipped for their actions.
@@ironik4400Pedos are as common in the industry as wife beaters in the ghetto, just cuz everyone around you doing it don't make it right, especially for Mr. Morale Lamar who be high roading Drake. They're both dickheads, one just rhymes better and fewer skeletons.
Dude!! I've been following ALL the rap music reviewers on RU-vid (Scru, Shaq, etc.) religiously for years now! How the Hell did I not run across a video of yours until this morning? For the past 12 hours I've been on your page and I felt a compliment was well deserved. Thoroughly impressed with your knowledge and ability to explain things better than any other reviewer on here, that I've seen, is very impressive! That's just covering your reviews and they aren't even what you're best at. But anyways, I'm going to go watch some more of your reviews now. I just had a strong feeling after I watched your last review and disses on Scru that I needed to show my respect. #NewFan4Life
you missed the Jermaine double, cos he's talking about how Kendrick is Michael, and that he wanted Jermaine to stay out of the light. Jermaine meaning J Cole, but also Michael's brother Jermaine Jackson.
J cole knew what was going to happen. He has the lyrical capacity to compete with Drake and Kendrick Lamar, but the consequences to be in this beef could lead to damages that are irreparably!
@_lady_bugz_ very smart man, his moral campus went back on track and he apologized...but drake doesn't really have any but Kdot just compromised his for this beef which means kdot can't stand on any of the good guy type of energy he was on before
@@napechuene5601 A lot of people these days do not know or experienced Kendrick or know who is and what he’s capable of. On the flip side Drake is mainstream and is known worldwide. Experiencing Kendrick dismantling Drake rn should be an eye opener for a lot of people. Kendrick is respected in the culture for a reason
I saw this on Complex. The “Family Matters” music video is full of symbolism. It opens with a shot of Drake spinning a vintage G-Unit spinner chain as lyrics to the song flash on the screen, which is a callback to his bars on “Push Ups” about how his opponents have him “talking like [he’s] 50 [Cent].” He’s also wearing FUBU in the video, which is his way of responding to Kendrick’s bar on “Euphoria” about how the Black-owned brand “was never in [Drake’] collection.” Then we see what appears to be Kendrick’s mother’s Dodge Caravan, which was featured on the cover of Good Kid, M.a.a.d City, being driven through the streets of Toronto before it’s dramatically crushed in a junkyard. When the beat switches, we see inside a Black Mercedes Benz hearse, shot through a fisheye camera lens. Drake rapped about this specific type of hearse on “You Broke My Heart,” and it all symbolizes his plan to bury Dot. Next, the video shifts to a few different locations, including New Ho King, the restaurant in Toronto that Kendrick mentioned on “Euphoria.” Then we’re transported inside one of Drake’s properties, where he flexes all of the jewelry he bought from Pharrell’s collection in auction and shows off Tupac’s ring (which has been a running symbol in the beef) alongside what looks to be a certificate of authenticity. Later, we see two cakes that have the words “Happy Divorce” and “Happy Co-parenting” on them, which is Drake’s way of implying that Kendrick has separated from Whitney due to infidelity. In the final portion of the video, there are scenes of Drake recording in the studio, a shot of a Michael Jackson action figure that focuses on the words “Black and White” while Drake raps about Kendrick’s lighter-skinned child, and a closing shot of Drake wearing a chain with a ring on it, which some are speculating might be the engagement ring that Kendrick gave to his longtime partner Whitney Alford nine years ago.
I like the fact that knox shows no bias through this...hes breaking them down equally and not showing any one favortism...guys like stevie and ernest clearly have a favorite and their bias surfaces and that makes it tough to listen to cause they write shit off from one guy but not the other...knox doesn't do that and thats dope....GOAT
You know, you gotta give drake some credit for standing on the frontline by himself. Tons of people are dissing him, Kendrick’s hitting him hard, his own circle is switching up on him. But dude is still dropping and raring to fight, even though he’s heavily outnumbered
No. He says nothing in the longest ways. He's a proven liar. He is a master manipulator and crazy Karen. His best songs are not written by him. He flexes on flexing. It's utterly gross.
Maybe if he wasn't a pos, he wouldn't have so many people coming at him? Idk the guy, but when everybody keeps saying the same shit about you, it isn't because they're all jealous or whatever other excuse people come up with. Usually because it's true
Knox can't take a break, dude. He's just throwing an hour of his day to give us this amazing breakdown and those 2 keep birthing new disses every 10 minutes
@@aang6421 if he can get it all in one take, then a reaction that's this long takes at least a couple hours from start to finish and upload. If editing, then put it at a 3hr minimum
That line with “think you bishop in juice” is so much deeper. The crew was cool until bishop got too outta pocket and started offing what he considered to be competition for his position as “leader”, only to be offed by the one he underestimated most…
The letter with the 2pac ring is signed by Pablo Escobar with his fingerprint. And the guy in the red bandana is Drake's neighbor, he got a bunch of money from being wrongfully imprisoned for drug and gun charges and something to do with the Hells Angels in Toronto.
He's not late, chill out! These mf literally dropped at the same time around midnight on a Friday. It hasn't even been a whole day! Do your thing Knox!!
@@daltonstivers5397Kendrick gonna have to bring receipts because he just got barred to death, exposed as a hypocrite and wife beater, then put out MTG which is basically dissing Drakes kids super cringe. So unless he can back up his “Embassy getting raided” allegations which btw made him look like the Feds, his career may over. Because from an emcee perspective Drake just flat out rapped circles around Kendrick while Kendrick releases I’m a take the high ground track while being full of cringe allegation low blows. So yeah Kendrick gotta redeem himself.
@@pmpster5 Bro I swear some of you Stans have no reading comprehension. They said talking about FAMILY, Drake is the one that started bringing up family members (as he does in every beef he's had) first. Yes Kendrick started it but that's cuz Drake got his feelings hurt by "Control" which was literally just some friendly jabs.
Knox, at 48:45 i think you missed the 'features' connection with what kendrick said when he was asking 'how many black features till you feel black enough' im paraphrasing here but drake flips it here as on another level he's saying 'your features make you look whiter, while youte saying im doing features yo feel blacker' which fits in with the Michael Jackson line...
Bro wtf you talking about that is definitely embarrassing Kendrick is raising a son that he doesn’t know isn’t his which means his wife cheated you can’t be that slow 😂
am I the only one who thinks Drake is just chillin and has SOOOOO much more to say. and hes just dropping a little bit more with each diss and hasnt fully gone all in?
What blows my mind is that, off the bat the song starts with Drake's mother warning him. Kendrick then addresses her directly in Meet the Grahams. He. Knew. way ahead of everyone else.
Drake has a rat next to him, Kendrick has teased it with everything he's said and every cover art. You know Drake is fucking panicking when all he could say back was that he doesn't have a daughter.
also PG is paul george LA clippers kendrick is from California plus PG allegations sexual? Uh, I was really, really tryna keep it PG I was really, really tryna keep it PG Kendrick Lamar (born June 17, 1987, Compton, California, U.S.) ‘PC’ means protective custody could that mean PG -used to certify that a motion picture is of such a nature that all ages may be allowed admission but parental guidance is suggested does that mean drake saying watch what you say kendrick i'm watching you? like a warning shot?
When I saw both of these tracks drop last night I couldn’t wait for today to see your breakdowns. Knox you are hands down the best breakdown/reaction channel on this platform
That line about going on vacation and timing it right.....I think that's a throwback to everyone saying Drake too so long to respond to Kendrick in the beginning because he was on tour.

This is what I was waiting for. I literally waited for like 10 hours for your reaction. And one hour break down. That's exactly what I wanted. Thanks Knox hill.
@KnoxHill - great breakdown, the best in the game. I think this was the hardest and darkest response we could hear from Drake. If he comes out with another, it's really going to be a "Scary Hour"
I was going to say something about the whole, “you’re late” comments but Knox got it covered. I’m waiting patiently with anticipation and excitement for the Kendrick reaction! Much love to you Knox and your loved ones! #girldad
I just realised you're dropping your reaction to Family Matters, no idea why i thought you were doing both in one video. Man big ups for all the hard work holy shit

You missed the reference when drake said " we get it you think you're bishop in juice" he rebuttals the k dot line when he said " i pray they are my friends if not im ynw melly" remember bishop in juice tried killing all his friends.
