77 yr old ARMY. I love your indepth and knowledgeable reactions. I was Introduced to BTS by my 47 yr old daughters 1 1/2 yrs ago. BTS brought music back into my life. Now I am enjoying all genres again including Korean rap! 💜

I find it hilarious every time someone finds out abt ARMYs age demographic. It’s unusual yes but if you think abt it, with ALL the content BTS provides and the methods ARMY uses to help BTS chart, we’d definitely need access to disposable income to do all the things we do for the boys 😂💜

I think why BTS has older population too is because, only a matured person will understand the messages in the lyrics. USUALLY, the younger generation today are more attracted to good music pleasing to ears. But because BTS has that maturity in their art, it draws people of the same kind...who are, again, mature in age and/or thought. Their style follows the growth of their personality. So as they grow older, they'll attract more older group along with the younger ones. There is something for everyone in BTS. No one goes empty handed. 💜

62 year old Army here! Your shock at the age demographic of BTS fans is funny! I belong to two "older Army" groups and, believe me, I am one of the younger ones. BTS is something very very special. They transcend age, gender, culture! I believe they were sent here to change the world!!! Bias: J-Hope...but I love them all!

I recently turned 65 and only found BTS at 64. I absolutely love them - their music and even rap (was never a big rap fan before, but have changed now), their personalities, their silliness at times, really everything we know about them. I'm sure there are sides to them we never see, but episodes like Run BTS, In the Soop, and Bon Voyage show us more tidbits of their personalities too. I enjoy your reactions. bts and army have a special connection, love and respect for each other. it is something rare to see, it developed through struggles against the world. bts only had army when they started, no one welcomed them. the hurtles they faced then and face now may be different, but still we have each other's back. they want to inspire us, to give us strength, they stand up for us just as we support them and spread the positivity further to better the world. army and bts have always been and will always be on this path together, hand by hand i want to give you few quotes from the boys themselves :) J-hope: "ARMYs absolutely... So now, I can’t explain it. For example, if someone asks us “What is ARMY to you?”, I’d be at a loss of words. It’s hard to describe in a word. Yes, that kind of relationship we developed. Actually, we don’t have a distant relationship, but I can’t simply say it’s a close relationship. But you’ve become someone I love, and miss at the same time. I think, we love each other so much. You don’t talk about stuff like this in your everyday life. You don’t tell someone “I love you” all the time. But we do. We proudly say “I love you”. We have that kind of relationship. You should definitely watch the matching videos BTS Hardships 2013-2021 and This is BTS ARMY. You'll be amazed how much they've influenced people and inspired philanthropic projects all around the world and what they've been through to get to the top. XCeleste really makes some great videos. 💜

omg! so glad you are in this path of discovering who bts really are. BTS is more than just their music, is what i always tell people. At this point its hard to only look at them as artists/musicians that i follow their musical journey, cause truly its more than that. The things they talk about, the messages they put through their music, or any contents, its more than just for entertainment. Their music educate people, they dont just make music so it can chart or so they can make money, they dont just make dumb bangers, they make bangers that comes with knowledge, with meaningful arts, with meanings, with messages and life lessons. BTS is definitely not your typical boyband who only sings about lovey dovey stuff (not that they lack those) but they never repeat things they've done, they explore every issues, they try every genre, always challenging themselves to expand their crafts and improve them. 8 years into their career and they are still not done proving the world what they are capable of. If money is what they are after, they would've stop, but they are still rocking, still trying their best to come up with contents, its because this is what they want to do, its what they love doing, its their passion, its their life. As ARMY, being in love with BTS never felt one-sided. its a known fact. there are millions of us, but we all felt so loved and appreciated by bts, always think about ARMY in anything they do, whatever contents they are making, ARMYs are always their target audiences. BTS and BIGHIT always prioritize what would ARMYs love. I have never seen artists who are such caring and loving with their fans. I guess people outside of our fandom would never understand what kind of appreciation BTS does to ARMYs, because only by being in the fandom you'll get to see what kind of treatments and gestures we receive from them. I discovered bts last year, and im 24, i've never felt such happiness as being with bts and army. they are truly a blessing. i suggest you watch the BTS hardships suggested by xceleste in that video, and also do the WHO IS BTS ARMY? also by xceleste. i also suggest you dive into all of their albums and explore their music first, then you can watch their funny/ youtube compilation videos (if you are interested in seeing more about their funny/silly personalities, basically their real personalities outside of their professional career).

Army is global and of all ages, that's the best thing about the fanbase, how diverse it is

instead of streaming to celebrate bts though we also do that, we as in army often come together to make a donation to a charity in the name of bts as a whole of individual members (often the case for celebration to their birthdays). We want to make the world a better place, plus good over rules evil. We want to build new fandom culture that takes out hostility though again we still have some toxic fans but we strive for positivity.

@GabbsiReactions - Welcome to BTS and ARMY! Just a thought. To really know BTS and their history, you need to watch THE RISE OF BANGTAN series (19 episodes plus deleted and extras scenes for each). X-Celeste has done a great job to create a quick short intro video, but that doesn't give you the real info you need and some of her intro videos are now a few years old (out of date). I would also recommend that you listen to what is being said. That's where you will learn the most.

Most probably now 40-45% of Armys are males including me

I also HIGHLY recommend The Rise of Bangtan series of videos (fan made but excellent behind the scenes from pre-debut and ongoing, including history/documentaries re K-Pop, and their own vlogs etc. They give an excellent insight into their personalities and really show you their genuineness and authenticity as they speak honestly about what their thoughts/experiences are and what is going on) - it's now at Ch 19 and also has bonus content and deleted scenes videos so advise you to start these soon if interested. ru-vid.com Borahae! 💜💜💜

Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We would like to provide you with the following information regarding the current health status of BTS member Jimin. Jimin experienced sudden abdominal pain along with a mild sore throat on January 30 in the afternoon. He visited a hospital emergency room for a thorough examination, and also took a PCR test. Jimin was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and was tested positive for Covid-19. He underwent surgery following physician advice early morning on Monday, January 31." However, they added that Jimin’s surgery was successful. “According to the medical staff, the surgery was successful and Jimin is currently recuperating after his procedure. He will be receiving a few days of in-patient treatment for Covid-19 in conjunction with postoperative care. He is currently experiencing a mild sore throat but is making a speedy recovery, and had no contact with the other members during the infectious stage." #GetWellSoonJimin
