What i sorta hope they do is add a day/night system along with a weather system. Would love to skate in the night with friends. And for the weather system it'd be cool if they had indoor skate parks, so when it rains people come together and hang out
skate 3 has these animations, if you fall off your board at a certain speed or angle, you wont fall instead you will just do a roll or other animation and keep walking
if there's one good thing I can say about this is that I really like how much more loose the handling looks. Since skate 1 the character always looked so stiff when he did his tricks even with the loose mode on. And the physics is a lot less floaty than it was before which is very nice.

absolutely fucking love that it looks like the power sides auto correct or (return to center) like in skate2 that's such a good feeling mechanic that needed to be in this game
The whole map being available for free skate is just awesome, its gonna be cool just cruising around and just seeing a group of skaters heading towards the best spots or maybe even just cruising around to complete challenge(which in that case i hope we get silly thps type challenges like idk deliver the pizza or retrieve the lost dogs ? idk)
There should be a skate / trick level where all your tricks are super inconsistent and the more you land and practice the trick the more easier it gets
I've been saying this since skate 2. You should be able to improve your characters stats through practice and maybe get bigger increases through completing certain events.

Man i never played any skate game but ive been skating for a while now and I must say, skating with other people is a whole lot more fun than skating alone. Hill bombing with a lot of people in this game will be a lot of fun and imagine the events on Skateboarding Day
Animations mean everything and they nailed it, I think why this pre pre pre year old playtest is so fun to play is because everything feels so smooth, I can't knock session or Skater XL I'm glad we have now 3 skate games to mess with but even with Sessions stat menu the animations just made the flow of skating feel way off, their not terrible but definitely not on this level, I get sessions a small company compared to EA but I feel like if they spent more time on animations for these skate games they'd be alot better, seems that's what skate 4 is doing.
The animations genuinely look like shit compared to other sims that have come out recently I’m a die hard skate franchise fan and even I can see how lackluster and similar these animations are to previous titles
@@WagonerVT I can see that but playing it feels pretty good considering it's a playtest from a year ago and not the footage we've seen from their newest trailer, these animations will most definitely get better by release
So what. This isnt a trailer teaser as so many seem to believe.. its a god damn pre pre-alpha test. Its not a finished game and will not be in two years🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
Should be an option to toggle speed-wobble on or off in the settings. I could see it getting annoying, but for those who love the realism like myself, it'd be fun to have to fight the wobble with the joystick and bail if you can't hold on.
animations look incredible, definitely the best in any skateboarding game yet. and I still think skate has the best controls, project session is pretty fun but its so hard to get a good flow going. Also SOOOO HAPPY TO FINALLY SEE CLOTH PHYSICS. Have the look of a cool trick is see someones shirt about to rip off because the are hitting the trick with so much speed, and games never had that, past skate game screen shots looked like they weren't moving at all, so I'd say that I'm STOKED. also, Ken, when were you notified? I signed up for this but didn't see any emails come in
I would love to see board transfers in this game, like I stage a board at the bottom of a gap and hippie jump to the new board. As a skater there’s so much I’d love to see possible in this game.
I hope the implement some sort of board tweaking like the wheel size truck tightness bearings that be pretty interesting almost like the do in for a with the car parts
They def released this on purpose to get people to remain hyped because it’s still way early into development. But that’s fine people will literally be using this build to make tons of content until release.
