THANK YOU for spreading this message beyond our community. We need this kind of exposure on this issue and we all really appreciate it. The swgoh community is amazing, the game is too. It’s so sad to see Star Wars and our game / community treated this way. They need to be held accountable. Side note- Krakens spend much more than 10k/year to be honest. I speak to some on a regular basis who are over 100k lifetime.
I agree sir, there’s so many platforms that people should use to spread this news. Thank you for speaking up yourself Cubs, but thanks to BK as well for speaking out about this.
In this case its an EA Developer Studio not Directly EA....still sucks because EA so far hasn't done anything to stop this Blatant Abuse of people who Support this game and give it Free Advertising while spending hundreds or thousands of Dollars(or other Currencies) on their Game....yeah,@Capital Games is more Immature than a 4 Year Old
This isn't EA, its the developer Capitol Games. They chose to no longer participate in the Game Changer program. The Game Changers have been shown support in other EA titles that they dont even cover. For instance Dice/BF2
That's literally it though, Ahnald made a few criticisms of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes and gets banned. No warning, no valid reasoning, no ban appeal, and no support. Completely bricked that account which if I had to guess has 15k+ on said account.
I find it suspicious that after posting how far I've gotten and how long I've played without spending a dime... ...the game suddenly has been stuck at "checking for updates" SMH
@@williamsmith8244 it has already happened yo me, but because i had google play accounts online, i somehow managed to get it again. I had 7 stars boba and unmasked kylo
@@dungeonmaster7974 Unlike the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), which is a domestic security service, the CIA has no law enforcement function and is mainly focused on overseas intelligence gathering, with only limited domestic intelligence collection.
They're eventually going to hit a mark where people won't dare try their games anymore and EA goes bankrupt. If only the corporate morons at the top learnt how to listen both to the fanbase and to their studios... It will likely never happen.
@@shushvfx5987 he also states that he reaches out and asks them if he can share there videos and in every one of those videos he puts links to there channel.
Fifa players: "first time?" It has happened a lot more okay maybe it isn't related to star wars but EA is doing this not only with these games they are silencing the people who are giving criticysm about something they want fixed so the playerbase can enjoy the best possible game they can get but they don't just fix things it is so horrible it has happened to other people beforehand the beste example is the fifa community there was a guy who was an e-sporter giving critisysm and they banned his account and his permition to enter events even went this far to get his twitter and youtube banned this is a disgrace
Free Kurt like imagine going as far as banning his name in your twitch streams like wth even there poster boy dhTekkz knows the game is trash and called their gameplay out at an event
Facebook do something similar to people who use an Oculus Quest 2. They also silence people who complain about it by disabling the accounts involved and automatically denying appeals. The tech industry is going crazy...
To clarify, this isn’t really EA’s fault, besides the fact they continue to fund CG. CG’s the developer of the game, and the game isn’t in a good place at all due to how they run the game.
Makes me wonder why they are treating their subdivision differently, I legit got scared when BF 2 "finished", and I thought "welp CnC remastered will be "finished" aswell", but NO! WHY EA, CANT YOU DO THINGS RIGHT LIKE YOU DID WITH CNC REMASTERED AND PETROGLYPH? WHYYY?
He finished law school and is crying because he violated a TOS agreement, brought it to their attention that he violated it and the banned that account, not his original account. He needs to quit being a cry baby because he doesn’t speak for everyone.
He doesn't sounds angry? Didn't hear him raise his voice and scream - he's just disappointed in EA, who can blame him? We do come here for his opinion? idk..
Wow this makes me sad. I have been playing this games for years and never spent a dime in it. I enjoy picking it up once in a while just to do a few things and slowly progress towards my goals, but I never knew Capital Games was so horrible to the community. I didn’t even know there was a community
Well you are a good person Vader. You brought peace, justice and security to your new Empire. And you fought against the rebels which are terrorists who oppose the emperor who brought peace and oppertunities and jobs for every person in the galaxy.
For those that dont know, it's called the hyperdrive bundle, and you skip to max level, as well as roughly 60 characters (I dont remember the actual number) to 5 out of 7 stars. Depending on the character, it can take months to farm them but for $100 USD, you can skip roughly a years farming. While it is useful for newer players, it is a complete slap in the face to older players who have spent years farming for these characters and their respective gear pieces. And as the cherry on top, on your home screen for SWGOH, the icon to buy the Hyperdrive Bundle is permanently on your side bar and does not go away even if you have everything in the pack. Atleast it didnt for me anyway. Also, while I cant personally confirm this, once you buy the Hyperdrive Bundle, you unlock the ability to but another bundle specifically for gear.
Not really the majority. It’s called the “Hyperdrive Bundle” and it basically gives you a 6-8 month head start. It’s still considered one of the better deals in the game. To get a brand new character (plain character, not even a legendary) right after release, you have to open packs to get Shards of that character. The average amount you have to spend to max a character is around 300 US dollars.
does it matter if they are the most hated company when they clearly dont care and the average gamer is a retard and will still buy their games so who are we kidding here guys
This game has a monetisation as bad as Raid, shadow legends. It is fun but it is not worth money. For 50k dollars I could hire cosplayers to amwear Vader amd Luke costume and duke it out in real life.
I remember thinking how cool this game was when I first got it. It’s a mix of everything. Then I saw the shitty microtransactions (up to $99.99 just for crystals!), and haven’t ever looked back. EA has the formulas to make great games, they just need to learn when to fucking chill with the monetization, they could do so much more and honestly probably earn more money that way. But its infected with greed.
@@johnormesby4811 well all games have to die at some point, for example, take a game such as Pokemon Go. That game was extremely popular when it first came out, but then it's popularity slowly declined as time passes by. No developer of any game, no matter how much money they force their player base to spend, can stop their game from dying
I played swgoh for years and loved it. I was almost entirely free to play; I would treat myself to like $20 worth of cores each christmas or something. I felt like it was a great game until recently. I was always able to get the legendary characters the 2nd time they came around. At least up until the last year. The game became more and more pay to win with general skywalker and then especially with galactic legends. Galactic legends would have taken me like a year to farm for as free to play. I quit the game because of that.
Dude, The fact that even you! Someone in a huge different genre of star wars games then swgoh makes me even prouder of this star wars community. Thank you for doing this.
No this is not stupid this is downright lie to your fans trying to take control of channles with illigal documents Stripping people for Thousands of potential dollars
Yeah, Force Arena was actually really good for a phone game. I actually got Obi-Wan (Clone Wars era) near the end of it's run, too! It was good while it lasted.
Force arena was netmarble not ea, I think the only reason they stopped it was cause they didn’t have enough money to continue producing a game losing players anyway.
Redmangc 1 by which point they’ll have released the new op (as in no other teams can really beat them) hero making you efforts redundant. (Saying this as a former player who hadn’t spent money)
3 months? For everything you need for GL Rey? More like 13 months. I am f2p player, and pretty decent too, first on both arenas, but I have come to terms that I will never have her.
@@Tainted_Human if you wanted either GL rey or supreme leader kylo on release, the gear requirements were so high ridiculously high combined with having to collect tokens with low drop rates to attempt several repetitive that you could lose, it could easily cost thousands. Nobody could get either day one because of the poor drop rates on the event tokens. Ahnald tried on a livestream with 3 different accounts with 16k people watching and it took him a couple days to unlock them. And then you gotta spend money gearing them too
I'm happy people from outside the swgoh community are sharing the the issue with their followers, our community is pretty tight, but very strong and a lot of us still keep playing the game just because people like Ahnaldt keep making it somewhat fun when the actual developers fail to do so
I couldn't imagine pouring massive amounts of money, time, and hard work into a game you love to play and then getting your account banned. What jerks they are
I downloaded the game and stopped playing, went back to it and was mostly free to play but started spending to grow faster, and it has a great community
Obi-Smug Cannoli nothing good is free. Either way I spent 4 years playing a game and only started spending money on it after I was level capped and finished, this was around the 2nd year ( this was mostly for cosmetics and to support devs).
I just had a great idea!! "How about we perma-ban one of our top revenue and advertising sources? Sounds great, right? Oh, and we'll do it without telling him and come up with a BS reason too." Huh?! ......Where's the logic in that? O.o *Slow clap*
@Nospam Spamisham I hate that you're right. If you're willing to spend 15k $ a year on a mobile game, you're willing to spend it again, even when you know you're being scammed
@@obamaprism1277 war robot is really good back the day. No pay to win. If you not playing for months they go give you gold. but now it was totally shit game no gold If you not playing for months. Weapon and robot can be upgrade with gold to be more powerful, OP robot. And perk you need spend with gold. And the gold isnt cheap either
You think a multi-Billion dollar cares about that? If on the off chance Arnold sues, it's an uphill battle against some of the best lawyers money can buy. Capital Games may be the Mos Eisley of EA Star Wars, but they probably make the most money for EASW. EA will likely defend their property. IF Arnold wins, EA will likely throw a couple thousand to million at him and then sever all ties. Nothing is illegal to big companies as long as they have enough money to "convince" others what they're doing is justified.
@@LastRookie I agree going against E.A. is a very downhill battle but from what I've been learning this is a very cut and dry case with a lot of precedent to follow it making it a viable choice but I guess it's still hard even knowin that.
I’ve never actually spent money on the game and have done pretty well for myself. I’m pretty proud of that now. But damn I feel bad, the studio screwing people over.
Thanks for covering this. Dice got crucified for the launch of BF2. But CG dodges any criticism for their abuse and exploitation of the SW license in SWGOH. If it wasn't for the SW license this game would be dead already.
I haven't dropped a dime in GoH for a few years. The only time I did was when they had crystal sales. Otherwise, I just saved crystals from daily objectives.
internetuser5286 that reasoning alone is why corporations and companies get away with just about everything, because no one is big enough to stop them, and those who are, well, are also profiting so why stop it? I hate how everything is structured, it’s pointless.
If people keeps spending their money, they won't really do something about it. Battlefront only changed cause people were not buying into the micro transaction stuff, so they had no other option really. The community of swgoh needs to stand together on this one
Galaxy of Heroes long term player here, thanks for sharing this issue with the other Star Wars fan bases. It feels like we are a small community on the outer rim of the galaxy where our voices can't be heard. For you and other BF creators to shed light on this matter has been very nice. We as Star Wars fans should stand up against this injustice and not let companies bully us and expect us to take it just because it's Star Wars. Thank You good Sir!
Gamechanger for Battlefield here. Never had any such request to not play a certain game or reason to question playing alternate shooters would have anyone discontinued from the program. That is some shady shit from Capital Games, but isn't reflective of the rest of the program.
There are several Star Wars games/TC mods coming soon that are totally free. There's a FS2 Open stand-alone game coming, and there's a Fallout: New Vegas Total Conversion Star Wars game coming too. There are also X-Wing & TIE Fighter TCs coming. No reason to give EA and Disney any money, with how many independent modders out there doing the will of the Force.
I've been playing Clash of Clans for nearly seven years. I've got probably $500 into my account. I'm happy to give supercell a few bucks every month because I enjoy the game and they do well with new content AND I like that they don't make it pay-to-win. If the game went to shit and supercell started being jerks, I'd just quit. They wouldn't get my $$$$ every month. Yeah, it would suck because I'm invested, but I won't put up with shit. And you shouldn't either. The way to stop these practices from game studios is to not support the ones that are shitty, and give your money to those that care. If you don't do that, you don't get to complain. Or I guess you can complain, but it will be baseless, because you did it to yourself.
Considering my dad owns one of the biggest clans on the game I have to support him in liking the game, of course I find it tedious unlike, per say battlefront or Star Wars FU, but after seeing this I feel as if I can’t support my dad in his love towards the app.
@@turdblaster923 yeah, that's what you should expect from a triple A company like EA, but that's not what they produce anymore. The somehow screwed up WWII with battlefield 5 (for example, there still isn't a D day map, and the game is still broken), the Madden franchise has become straight garbage in terms of gameplay, in Battlefront it took them forever to remove the loot box monetization and fix the bugs, also, was Titanfall 2 really that revolutionary? The point is, EA was once a great game developer, but they no longer care about the consumer, but the profit
I have been playing SWGOH essentially since release and I’ve been watching Ahnald for about the same time. CG is a disgusting company that attempts to manipulate all the people that love it. They have been out to get Ahnald, Mobile Gamer, and CubsFanHan for years now simply for expressing their dislikes with the game. However, it’s not like they just sit there and constantly whine. These 3 creators voice their concerns and offer fixes for those concerns, but then CG stopped even pretending to listen. They disbanded the Gamechangers program and attempted to threaten the major content creators with legal action, but Ahnald is a lawyer in real life and CG is a pathetic little company of 10 or so greasy, brain dead employees that literally share ONE SINGLE COMPUTER (!!!!) so that didn’t go well. The company is an absolute joke in every sense of the word and it brings an enormous smile to my face that even non-SWGOH players/content creators like you are taking notice of how terrible, twisted, and trash the company is.
A small company owned by ea and makes multi millions of dollars and will do everything even to bribing judges and jury to protect there game ip if it goes to court everyone and everything is corrupt.
Thanks for this vid! I was about to get back into the mobile game but I can’t believe they banned the one content creator that got me into the game 3 years ago. F**k capital games for hating their community!
honestly I don't see the issue, u are going in the bronx complaining to be robbed and got back in the bronx to complaint ending beating up. It's a mobile game, created from the EA, one of the most money driven games company. what u were expecting ?
I played Battlefront 2 for hundreds of hours but I changed my gamertag on xbox using the classic system and now i cant use my ea account anymore but guess what... I tried changing it but no ea just says "that sucks"
this is sad. so many vulnerable and summisive people falling for all these microtransactions. im hoping ea changes and someone helps these people spending that much money.
As a veteran and regular player of GOH, it wasn't always like this. I think the main thing that changed everything is when cg_carrie left and was replaced. The devs used to be open, kind, and excited with the community. But when she was replaced by this guy who has never said a word to us, everything changed to what it is now. EA help us, your our only hope
dA RaZor// SEeesEEy DiNosAur yup, but like Palpatine said “Only now, at the end, do you understand” only know at the end of the contract with Fallen Order and the redemption of BF2 under their belt do they understand that making good games and listening to consumers works
Capital games promises things to content creaters to not play marvel strike force. The content creaters agree to this deal Marvel strike force dies Capital games break their promises I'm pretty that that is illegal and is definitely grounds for a lawsuit.
Everyone who is blaming this on solely EA as a whole company, please hear me out: One of EA’s subdivisions known as Capital Games has been doing these things. This studio has been unlike any studio I or any of the content creators for SWGOH have heard of or dealt with. So please keep in mind when you blame it on EA that it is only their fault for keeping these idiots around. Thank you for your time
Siding with EA wtf of a clown are you?! So you forgot the whole Battlefront 2 Desaster? EA will do this shit again and again, they need to loose the license kid. They need to bleed out and should not be allowed to publish any other games until they decide to develop customer friendly games and act professionell.
@@predator70nc46 The people who doing this is capital games not EA. He wants to actually deal with the real problem because he actually wants it fixed rather than jump on the EA hate train with braindead 13 year olds like you
Okay he didn’t say he’s siding with ea. He’s saying that these things were caused by another company that ea owns, so not ea themselves. He even said that it is ea’s fault for keeping the capital studio around. These problems are not from ea themselves, but that doesn’t make ea good
They’re not siding with EA, they’re pointing out that it’s a different company that’s doing it, EA just owns them. That’s like blaming the parents for a crime their child did.
Thank you for covering this, I’ve played Swgoh for over years as a F2P user and I’m a huge fan of ahnald. It is a close and (relatively) small community so I thought they were goin to get away with this cause all we could do for years is complain to ourselves/eachother
I played GoH for about two years, and really enjoyed a lot of it during that time. Near the tail end of that, the devs had started introducing some cool new gameplay ideas (like Bounty Hunter tasks that gave your BH team additional bonuses) and improvements to older team/class types that were outdated. It started to seem like they were trying to make the game more varied and accessible. Then Revan came. The game utterly broke. If you didn't have a full Revan-Jedi team, or shortly after, the Sith Revan counter, you had no chance of being viable in the Arena. The brief introduction of variety and a semblance of balance were gone almost overnight, and the game became almost entirely pay-to-win. I quickly decided it wasn't worth my time anymore. It's a shame, because mechanically, it was one the best mobile games I'd ever played. It had a ton of potential in terms of depth and breadth of content, and the strategic element allowed players to experiment with some unique squads and combinations. New characters were (at least at first) usually easily gained by regular play, and no one really seemed to have a notable advantage if they bought stuff; they just had more characters and supplies. It didn't stay that way, though, and I'm not surprised to hear that the devs no longer seem content with their fans, as they did a lot to alienate them while catering only to those with the money to waste on their increasingly overpowered toys.
Check the new shiny Galactic Legends requirements and kit if you want to continue to be happy of your decision. After Revan the power creep was an avalanche
Thank you for covering this! I’ve been playing SWGoH every day since launch, and the first couple years were great. After that, I stuck around for my guild mates. I got lucky and landed with a really cool group of people. We’re currently debating a mass migration to Marvel Strike Force, unless someone from EA can step in and clean house. Please share this with everyone who will listen.
