In an athletic competition, there's no way an athlete could be crowned if he/she doesn't cross the finishing line. If we are all fighting for a common goal and there was a disagreement we split up and I have struggled to win. Why do you want to come and take the credit ? Where were the other five the day Kwame Nkrumah declared our independence?
@@michaelopoku4837 except that the scenario depicted can not be likened to a baton race. In a baton race, irrespective of shortcomings of any athlete they deliberately, and willingly pass the baton, hoping that the finisher will "gain" the position desired. In other words, none of those in the race will willingly, deliberately decide not to run and pass the baton. Our Big Five willingly and deliberately decided to sabotage the process... In the issue of Ghana's Founders' day, it does appear hypocritical and not genuine, where it will even be absurd for any objective thinker to assume that five of the so-called big six could count to be called a founder. It only takes someone with a "complex" to think that the idea of founders' day is more plausible (with the big five inclusive) than to say Nkrumah is the founder of Ghana. Those who propound that Nkrumah is the FOUNDER of Ghana make more sense (about 60% probable given the circumstances) than those who assume the fictitious Big Five inclusive.
@@michaelopoku4837what happened in the process of our independence doesn't fit into the analogy baton race. In a baton race, one of the athletes doesn't take the baton and runs backward as jb Danquah wrote to the British not to grant Ghana's independence
@@kasare3085 that's false, he was never against Ghana gaining independence, like the athletes, everyone has his style of sprinting. Like political parties different philosophies with the same goal of developing the nation.
i think the young man in the studio has a problem with comprehension. the conversation is one on the founder of Ghana not a referendum on Nkrumahs presidency. the biggest achievement the other five in our independence was bringing Nkrumah down from London. They have no other contribution that surpasses any other. People actually died in our independence struggle and we don’t talk of them. Others were equally jailed in this struggle and we don’t talk about them . so who are these other five , nicknamed the big six only because they were arrested with Nkrumah. smh….
You don’t try impose your personal narrative of history or understanding on the general public, which suggests to disregard or discredit a universal fact
What do you expect the lion to tell his children about the antelope and vice versa.....why do people always think that whatever their parents say is the gospel....foolish people aren't barred from procreating !
This guy is just right from the fiery depth of the enemies of Nkrumah...Just listening to him.... He as been fed by his Ofori Penyin ... everything he is saying is the spirit of jealousy in his blood line....But the ONE TRUTH stands NKRUMAH is the FOUNDER of Ghana.
Is Akuffo Shortingo Addo and his NPP not claiming the Free SHS and Health Insurance as their policy? Yet we know Free SHS is already in our constitution. Is it not true that JM even started implementing day Free SHS before NPP took powe? Even with the health insurance scheme, JJ. started the piloting at Nkronza way before Kuffour took power. Still, NPP claims it as theirs.
What's this NPP guy say? Are we talking about who founded Ghana, or we are talking about the the leadership of Nkrumah? Trying to defend the indefensible will even make you look stupid.
This discussion reminds me of late Dr FWA Akuffo of Lagoon Clinic now Hospital,TEMA . This medical officer was a single most popular writer, crusader for the National Health Insurance Scheme until Prez JA Kuffour brought it into fruition. Dr Akuffo's articles appeared in the Ghanaian Tmes/Weekly Spectator in those days. Can there be a way of honouring this doctor for his contribution which led to the establishment of the NHIA and for patriotism.
Nkrumah was the only one who spear headed a unitary republic Ghana. All other leaders were pushing for sectorial, at best federal. If not for Nkrumah, Ghana would not be what it is today, but about four different countries. So why is it difficult to accept that Modern Ghana as it is, is the brain child of Nkrumah? Answer this question, if Nkrumah's position was not taken by the country but rather that of his opposition, will we have modern Ghana as it is?
@@royalprince9965 You mean Nkrumah is the founder of Ghana? He created all the regions? He formed all the confederation among the ethnic groups, subdued them all and brought them under his authority? You need to study the history of Ghana in details.
@@michaelopoku4837 Are you even listening to what you are saying in reply to my statement? Do you even understand founder within this context? You don't worry. Ghana wasn't founded by Nkrrumah alone. Case close.
@@royalprince9965 I just asked you the question concerning founder answer it if you think he is? You are using a word without understanding. You mean he came to found a nation that already existed, with people already fighting for independence? Even invited by some of them? For your information on the day of independence, 1957, Dr. Nkrumah, our first President, was presented with all the regions and territories of Ghana already assembled by the British.
Say that again. They are so funny. I don't know what Akuffo Addo wants, after destroying Ghana. Moving Ghana's debt from 122billion cedis in 2017 to over 800 billion cedis within 7 and half years. It's just lunacy
