Stacker is definitely on the top five NPCs of this franchise, and lore speaking he survived the war as long as Johnson did....even showing up on Halo 4 in one level if I recall correctly Edit: I also noticed that he yelled "Oh This one's mine" before charging at the Chieftain, the absolute mad lad

This is why we need a proper UNSC Marine game... and while we're at it, another ODST game with actual frontline combat in it would be nice too.

A lot of sci fi and even fantasy doesn't get this right. It's far more engaging and fun if the good guys are clearly losing but making the bad guys pay for it, or even getting a few good punches in before the main characters get involved. It creates room for exactly what most of us desire from Halo: that endless curiousity for what the average Marine's life is like and how it would be if you were in their shoes, how you would survive and what it would take to earn that survival...if you did survive at all; otherwise, you wonder how you would go out and what such a grim fate would entail and why you might endure it.

This takes place AFTER Noble Six takes out those covenant corvettes in Exodus.... _meaning everything we did was for nothing...._

You need to remember. The events in-game with NOBLE are usually days, weeks, or months apart. But the game dumbs it down so we're not spending actual months playing a single campaign. This particular Battle for the city, lasted from 8/18/2552 - 8/23/2552. So 5 days of constant combat. Six arrived on the FINAL day of the Siege, as the city was lost that night. With that knowledge and when Exodus takes place, this scenario looks to be between what the OC said and the next mission with the Falcons. Still, it's really cool to see the UNSC Marine side of the fight. I wish there were more Campaigns that cover the human aspect. ODST is close, but I want to be a Marine on the ground fighting the split-jaws. :)

I think that has to do more with the character biped animations, it would take a lot of effort to properly fit first person into the trooper. balancing also is another factor, in first peraosn you have shields protecting you while in third you have increased awareness.

Yeah, I have the mod also. The aimbot Covenant forces have on Legendary difficulty is crazy lol.

The Covenant doesnt have aimbot on legendary in reality, what happens is that the AI's firing frequency and damage are increased alongside their rank and health. Not to mention their plasma proyectiles being faster. UNSC marines also perform slightly better on higher difficulty with their weapon management but because the Covenant is just so overwhelming in firepower and numbers, they dont last long without Spartan/player assistance. Which funnily enough is as close as lore accurate you can get in the games.

It would, but it'd be very complex. Buddy teams would probably be easier.

I can too lower my weapon at will, but doing so breaks the Marine character's animations/ability to crouch during combat which is pretty critical without shield protection. So I have to choose carefully when to lower my weapon.

There used to be a mod that allowed you to play as a Covenant Elite, but sadly it is no longer functional.
