I’ve literally been looking up deck lists for shorikai for like 2 months now, this is awesome!

I have a shorikai deck that's SUPER different but I love this take on the deck. I am 100% adding a number of cards into the rotation in this deck!

I believe Containment Construct might actually be my preferred golden pig for this deck.

😊I've brewed this deck on Moxfield. I affectionately call it, Gundam Wing. It's mainly here to feed my geeky soul.

As of March 21st, 2023 Intruder Alarm is at around 10.00-12.00 dollars. I'd love to see it in a break the bank version if the deck.

I'm surprised you didn't label this as an omega level commander. Being able to dig through you deck with shorikai can give you insane card advantage very quickly. Then he gives you tokens to use as you will. On top of that, he is an artifact, which makes him difficult to remove. He is such a fun commander to play! My favorite is when I get coat of arms and levitation out with this deck! When you play shorikai EVERYONE assumes you are playing vehicles. It is fun to see the surprise on their face when you cast coat of arms and levitation and kill them with your pilots 😂

I personally still much prefer Vehicle tribal for Shorikai. IMO generic value/combo deck #548 is a really boring way to go with it. Not that there's anything wrong with value/combo or the people that build that way. It's just that there's so many other commanders that do those things, whereas Vehicles specifically has only a scant few commander options.

This is very different from my Shorikai vehicles deck. Well, I say vehicles. But it also doubles as a token swarm deck thanks to Myrsmith, Sai Master Thopterist, Thopter Spy Network, Efficient Construction, and Mishra’s Self-Replicator. I’m going to have to seriously consider Ominous Seas.

I went vehicle tribal with mine and it’s a lot of fun, but this gave me some ideas on how to tweak it a little.

Hey can you do a budget Mishra, Eminent one build for $30? It's a 22 cent card in the foil retro precon version, and it does some GREAT grixis artifact shenanigans!!!

The dramatic reversal and isochro scepter combo work nice in this deck, draw your whole deck, make a bunch of pilots, or drop a thoracle for an easy win. When building this commander, i focused on the best vehicles I had, and classic staxxy blue and white shenanigans. It's a fun deck to play, can pop off early, and it hard to manage. Keep in mind, shorikai is not legal in commander 1v1.

I may be missing context. But is teferis ageless insight not a better draw doubler than thought reflection as it’s significantly cheaper for a minor downside?

I put Day of the Dragons in my Shorikai deck, turns all of your pilots into 5/5 dragons, and you get to keep your commander and other vehicles.

Intruder Alarm? If you have a creature that adds 1, your commander and Intrude Alarm on the battlefield, you can draw your whole deck and make like 17 tokens.

Flowering of the white tree is a better substitue than glorious anthem!

My buddy has this commander deck. I can see how it's supposed to be better, but for the most part the deck is very terrible. I imagine this will be better since it's not a precon.

It's worth a couple of dollars, but I found Teferi, Who Slows the Sunset as one of the best cards in my Shorikai deck. Katsumasa the Animator is worth under a dollar and maybe be better in vehicle tribal, but can still easily turn shorikai into a 2 shot and you can crew for just 3 mana. Slaughter the Strong may not be as good if you aren't doing vehicle tribal also, but it should be a fantastic boardwipe around shorikai and is under a dollar.

Stop putting Fellwar Stone I'm decks with less than 3 colors. It misses too often and becomes a feel bad card when you need another specific color. The card is great, but only in deck with 3 or more colors
