So, today we are out and about walking in the town and parish of Upton upon Severn, which is located in the Malvern Hills district in the county of Worcestershire, England. The town is 5 miles (8 km) southeast of Malvern and is situated on the west bank of the River Severn. In 2021 the town's population stood at 2,903.
The curious looking tower with the copper cupola that we see during this walk is the remains of a former church - St Peter & St Paul. The nave of the church was demolished in 1937. The design was by Sir Arthur Blomfield. The structure is known locally as the "Pepperpot".
Due to the close town's close proximity to the River Severn it is well known for serious flooding, just a matter of days after filming here river levels significantly rose, The Swan Hotel was flooded due to pump failure. Read the full article here :

The town hosts three large music festivals...the Spring Folk Festival, the Summer Jazz and a Blues Festivals.
