Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaks to the media ahead of his side's Premier League match against Chelsea on Sunday.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has compared attempting to wrap up the Premier League title this weekend to a tennis player serving for the championship at Wimbledon.
City will secure their fifth Premier League crown in six years in the coming days if either Arsenal lose to Nottingham Forest or the leaders themselves beat Chelsea.
The success would come at the end of a memorable week in which City reached the Champions League final with a stunning win over Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Celtic and Arsenal fan here. Honestly, I admire Man City. Personally, I think this is one of the greatest teams to ever play the game. They are amazing to watch, must be great for a neutral, and a fan, obviously. Arsenal did great this season. Breaking into the top 4 at the start of the season would’ve been our goal. I personally believed we had the ability to finish in top 2/3. Huge achievement! Just a shame we were 1st for so long, but we were pipped by Pep, and one of the best teams ever. Proud of Arsenal, and love watching Man City - if that makes me a plastic fan, I’m good with that! 🙂💛🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Pep mentioning the Sheffield game was wonderful to hear , I think he understands that England is THE place to be for a football manager who is as passionate about the game as he is . He HAS changed English football without a doubt. despite him saying otherwise, in fact he has transformed it at every level right down to non-league where there are teams that play out from the back and try to maintain possession. @@cxmyyyyy_ Not really, Wednesday have a 40,000 capacity stadium (reduced to 33,000 for safety reasons, but there are 40,000 seats). And even in League One, Sheffield Wednesdays average attendance this year is bigger than some Premier League clubs. Before Abramovic came to Chelsea, Sheffield Wednesday were a bigger club than them, with bigger crowds and had won more trophies. Up until about 13 years ago, Wednesday had had more success than Man City. They haven't been in the Premiership in 23 years, but they're still the 14th most successful club in England, history wise.

City only won it through some dubious help from the Villa central defenders. 3 goals conceded by Villa in the space of 5 mins, that is really dubious. I dont think even a championship english team, would let in 3 goals in 5 mins playing Manchester City. Thats why it was so dubious. But this season, City have been fantastic. I think city owners should sell all players and tell pep to buy players below 25 million and then prove his coaching skills. Still he will win the league.
