This is EVERYTHING We Know About Encanto 2! 

More than anything, I wanna see Bruno get a family of his own......the guy gave up 10 years of his life to protect his niece, I think he's earned a little lovin'

My idea for an Encanto II plot is: 2 or 3 or 4 years after the events of the first film, just after Abuela Alma’s death, Mirabel, along with Luisa and Isabela, embarks on a journey to a magical place to find out why she was denied a gift. And towards the climax she learns that she was chosen to carry on Alma’s legacy, and towards the end she is officiated the new protector of the magic and the room that used to be Alma’s becomes hers, and gains a new glowing image of Mirabel holding the candle that depicts not only her new position, but also her full self. The film should not only address said reason, but also explain the origins of the magic, cuz when Young Alma mourned the loss of Pedro, the magic cannot have appeared out of the blue. And maybe at one point Mirabel oughta interact with the ghosts of Pedro and Alma. Song ideas include an opening group song about how happy, free, and full the family have been as the years went by, a duet between Luisa and Mirabel (cuz their relationship is so wholesome), probably a solo song for Isabela, and maybe a song for Bruno.

I think there should be a mini series about each member of the family instead of a movie. I think a second movie runs the risk of trying to cover too much and answer too many questions. The first movie was successful because even with so many characters, they focused on Mirabel and other story lines that detracted from her were ultimately scrapped.

I really want to see Mirabel helping and growing closer to ALL the family. No just her sisters.

I think the plot of enchanto 2 could be that abuala passes away between the events of the first and second movie,and Mirabel will become the new head of the family and she will adjust to her new role

the Director revealed everyone's birthdays except Alma and Pedro but he did say that he doesnt wanna give away Alma and Pedro's birthdays until the next project which basically confirms that Encanto 2 is currently in the making. I have a strong feeling that one of their birthday's falls on the same day as the candle ceremony or the day they got married... which means Abuela will be late and that we'll definitely get flash back scenes of them both. And the fact that that mountain that broke in half and never mended itself means that we're definetly going to see them explore the outside world, which means that we'll probably see Mirabel go to alma's old town to discover a secret that probably has to do with Pedro's past. I do think that this time Camilo will have a bigger role to play and might help Mirabel with her journey into finding out why she really wasn't given a gift. I do think that this time either Mirabel might get a young brother or a new character that might pose a major threat to the casita and the magic. i had this whole idea of Bruno being late too but only dying towards the end of the film and that in the end Mirabel would end up getting his gift but at an enhanced level - also getting the gift of life and time, being able to bring things back to life and changing time (past, present and future) but hey wnk...

If Abuela Alma passes away in the sequel, I would be sad, I would absolutely love it if Mirabel becomes the new gift holder of the family. I'm sure she would carry on Alma's legacy, but she would never put this much pressure on her family. Mirabel respects them with who they are. She would make such an amazing matriarch of the Madrigals.

I wanna see the inside of every room bc we saw most of them but not Julieta’s, Pepa’s, Camilo’s, and Dolores’s, and Luisa

I want to see waaaay more of Camilo, since he's a supporting character, and... normally... supporting characters don't get enough screen time... (except for... Varian from Tangled: The Series, that is!)

I think a good plot would be that Dolores and Mariano have gotten married and Had twins or triplets and all of them getting there gifts except for one. Mirabel has to help this Child as well as coming to terms with Abuela's death and learning how to becoming the head of the family

It'd be pretty cool to see the family band together to avenge Abuelo Pedro by facing the soldiers who claimed his life...or at least those who are following in those soldier's footsteps

I also think a possible plot point that could be for a second encanto movies or even a series could show where Mirable's grandmother realises that the reason mirable wasn't given a magical gift was because she was chosen by who ever or whatever had granted the family their blessings that mirable was chosen to be the next guardian of the magic thus picking up where the first movie left off only with Alma teaching and helping mirable be ready to take on the mantle of leader of the family

I can't wait for encanto 2..my daughter is in love with encanto ❤❤it was such a good Disney movie...I wish encanto 2 could focus more on bruno...or the meaning of maribel powers...or the love story between abuela and abuelo....Bruno needs his own song...

I would say that since--by the end of the Encanto (the first movie) even though the candle flame did go out--Mirabel was able to change the attitudes of her family members towards her, Encanto 2 might have Mirabel trying to make sure that what happened with their Abuelo does not happen again. If what is said here of Mirabel leaving her family to see as to who she really is in the real world looks like a possibility, Isabela and Luisa might be seen trying to do their best to keep Mirabel within the walls of Casita along with the other family members, maybe.

I remember coming across a fanfiction comic in instagram where Bruno adopt a child who is blind. Maybe the story plot could have a story that goes along this? Bruno adopt a kida and that kid undergo the candle ceremony

Like Abuela Alma, I'd imagine that any of the soldiers who attacked the village, if still alive, are very old. It would be interesting to have the "villains" of Encanto II be the children and descendants of those who drove The Madrigals out of their home. Like the descendants of most conquerors, they probably wouldn't be able to fully accept what their ancestors did and they would see the Madrigals (and others of the community) as invaders.

I feel like it should be more of a series rather than just a sequel. But I’m excited for what’s to come.

What if a sequel about Mirabel curiosity on what lies beyond the mountains of Encanto. I think the world outside has changed considering it has been over 50 years since Abuela got there. Maybe we can do a gift ceremony for Dolores and Mariano first child. Mirabel finding love interest outside Encanto would be a great plot. A whole movie where the Madrigals finally got to show off their power full potential.

If they ever do a series or another movie I hope we see what the inside of the rooms looks like. I often wonder if every room, since now there's a reset in a way, if there's a teacher in each room to show the characters what else they can do with their powers like Isabela did.

Ima be honest? I do NOT want a sequel to Encanto. It's that sequel-fear. Because many sequels now-a-days tend to destroy what the first one created. (Frozen 2 is one of the few that didn't) I'd be happy with a shorts series or like an animated tv series to show the daily lives of the family or what happens afterwards, but not a sequel.

I doubt that the people who drove Abuela and her friends into hiding would still be looking for them, or would be able to get a sizable force through such a narrow gap before Dolores heard them, at which point Pepa, Isabella and Luisa could easily send them packing. More likely, the people in the Encanto would want to find out what had been happening. It's possible Abuela could be killed on a scouting expedition, maybe protecting some folks who were on the run, including future love interests for her grandchildren.

I would absolutley love a possible sequal for this movie; but I'm not gonna hold my breath for it ever happening at all, I mean we never got a 'Zootopia 2' and that movie has been around much longer.

When the House was rebuilt they didn’t have the family characters on their door so they might get a new power

Well I think that the plot of the second movie will probably the hunters/the invaders from the time when abuela was still young will manage to get in plus probably isabella or luisa will find a guy from that hunter group and at the end they might even get maried

Unlike Frozen this movie actually DESERVES a sequel.

I don't like the theory of Mirabel being the next matriarch/her gift is Casita. I think it ruins a theme in the movie. And if there ever is a sequel I hope they never explain why Mirabel wasn't given a gift. They purposely left it ambiguous because it wasn't the point of the movie and I'd rather see all these crazy theories than have them explain why which in my opinion would ruin the magic realism.
