MALLA is the musical alter ego of actress Malla Malmivaara, who offers an addictive mix of disco, house and electropop. Malla is a Finnish-language artist known for her smooth, light club sound with roots in the world of analogue synthesizers and drum machines. Her songs, at the intersection of house beats, languid disco and sophisticated electropop, blend in seamlessly at clubs and on the radio.
MOI (‘Hi’) as described by Malla: “I went back in time to moments when I've travelled around different places and had a chance to share a slice of life with many people at significant moments - those moments when some previous era of life fades (for whatever reason) and some new light appears on the horizon, gets stronger and pulls you toward it like an energy force. I have no idea what ‘it’ is exactly and where, but you have to get ‘there’. Something has to happen.”

BÄTTRE FOLK is a two-day literature and music festival situated in a fishing village on the island of Hailuoto, about a two-hour drive from the city of Oulu in Northern Finland. The festival presents current writers and musical acts from the Finnish indie music scene while pampering its audience with a spa area including several saunas and hot tubs. The area is full of natural wonders as it is surrounded by long sandy beaches and the sea, which offers unforgettable images of the midnight sun floating on the horizon.
