"Everywhere is different architecture" ... because it is from centuries apart sometimes and people use local building materials to build houses, so the style of the "basic houses" changes. There have been different styles from different "feelings"/tastes of beauty which werent present across Germany (which only exists as a nation since 1871), there have been lots of "Hugenotten" (french protestants) who were persecuted in France and they settled in / near Berlin and there is a special quarter "built in the style of the Netherlands" in Potsdam too. Certain GOOD architects did a "grand Tour" to Italy to learn about beauty and art in architecture ...
Sylt is "the rich and famous party island" ... so expect sometimes overpriced items. It is connected to the mainland via a railway dam, so going there with your car is possible ... since it is typically a car train.
The Wartburg is the place where Martin Luther translated the Bible (the New Testament) from latin into german ... while he was declared to be "vogelfrei" (=he had NO RIGHTS and anyone could have "ended" him without penalty). A bunch of knights had "mock arrested" him and taken him to the Wartburg to be safe.
@@PeterReactss It's a bit of a "deception" though, because there are different meanings in different languages to the same word and this takes the broadest approach. "Castle" in english includes defensive buildings (Burg in german) and palaces (Schloss in german). The reason for the high number is obviously the history of the HRE / Holy Roman Empire of Germanic Nations ... where every local ruler of a tiny kingdom/barony had their own Schloss, but there are also kings who have several Schlösser in the same region/"city" ... current day Berlin has a bunch of them from the time before it became the giant city and those local castles were part of a different village. One of them is even a relatively small "regular house", but it was used by a king for silk production (Schöler-Schlösschen).
Concerning town/village/city ... it was very important to get the "rights of a city" in centuries past, because this meant you had a certain degree of autonomy ... with the taxes collected for example, but it was also important because you are allowed to BUILD A WALL AROUND YOUR CITY, which is important when marauding mercenaries or even full-fledged foreign armies can roam your land and plunder. So whenever something has a city wall or looks like it had one, it is going to be a city (no matter how small).
@@reimundkampshoff Great (standard) "hate" for the own country there ... and including the typical ignorance of "other countrie's problems" ... of not caring about their historic architecture / NOT EVEN HAVING A SENSE OF BEAUTIFUL ARCHITECTURE. The USA for example has no "sense of style" and builds as badly/BORINGLY as they can get away with.
Sorry to say this, but when you started to look up every single location, it immediately drove me away from wanting to watch this video. Nothing against you in person, but it's not, what I was looking for here :-) Sry.
@@PeterReactss It was just a bad first impression for me, man. If that is, how you prefer to do your videos, go for it! I don't want to dictate anything here! I have a very specific checklist for reactions and LPs and tend to almost always stay clear of anything that doesn't fit to nearly 100%. In this case the interruptions of the very fitting music was just too much for me. But I understand that it was tempting to find out more! :-)
@@PeterReactss I'm afraid that I can't really answer that question. It was the first video I saw and because of ... well, reasons ... I didn't really watch it more than a few minutes. I had a quick look in your video list, but I must admit, that none of the titles convinced me to watch anything, sorry. Maybe I'll drop by in a few months if YT by chance directs me towards your channel again, but it doesn't seem like your channel is directed towards my preferred video searches. Sorry, but I honestly don't think that I will become a regular here.
