Hello mate… Totally agree! Also… The difference in speed between these things is another issue. Some of them scream along! I seen a few last week along Main Street that had to be doing 40+ mph. Weaving in and out of people. Be a shame if those new ones accidentally found themselves off the rocks by Dunas… 5 mins in the salt water would do it! 😂👍🏻😉
It depends, it can be a nice place to live but there are already a couple of jet ski places there and not the huge amount of tourists as some places like Greece, Turkey etc. corralejo is good for winter sun when it’s competitors close for the season! As for a place to live, it served me well for many years but I think it’s passed it’s best years now for the reasons I mentioned in a recent video “why I left Fuerteventura”
Just back from Coralejo, one evening nearly got wiped out by some bint who was actually going st 40kph wearing sunglasses at 11pm while texting....incredible.
Some people say e-scooters should use the cycle lanes. Wrong. We never use the cycle lanes on our bikes as I'm sure that the speed limit is as little as 10-15 kmh in fuerteventura thus technically we'd be speeding. Another problem is that most pedestrians also use the cycle lanes. scooters can travel at double the cycle lane speed limit. Potential max range: 25 miles / 40 km Max speed: 18 mph / 29 km/h
Come to Melbourne, Australia and you’ll see the big problem we have with the scooters. It is a joke! People even throw them into the river! It is not just a problem of Fuerteventura…
The reason for the scooters is to drive out the dodgy ones who 5 years ago were a pain. They are council run and the idea is to push out the bad ones and then regulate it heavily.
Hi, scooters would be ok if used responsibly but generally they are not. Incidentally in Birmingham U.K. the rental ones have now been taken off the streets but you can still rent bikes which seem to stick to cycle paths so much safer.
Who has the right of way scooters or cars, as I was pulling out of the Disa garage on Main St. the other day when a couple on a scooter nearly drove into the side of me. Don't suppose that they're insured so I guess scooters have priority but they're not always easy to see until it's too late.

The Vilaflor de Chasna City Council has banned the use of quads, buggies, trial motorcycles, and ‘vehicles of a similar nature’, whether on or off road, being used anywhere in the municipality in Tenerife, and have installed road signs advising people that violators who fail to comply will be fined.
I used the scooters when I was there. The problem seemed to be some private owned one's being driven very fast on the pavement and zooming around corners without checking for pedestrians.
Hi David Yes totally agree with you and everyone one so dangerous. I'm too old anyway 😂 trying to avoid breaking bones lol . And let's keep Corralejo as it is with the charm it has . I know things have to advance but only if its for the better and needed 😅
I’ve seen so many accidents where people have been in the bar (flicks) one night and then come back 2 nights later wearing sunglasses with their face all bruised, black and broken!! So scary 😧
Well I totally agree with everyone ttey are a pain. Even my 15 and 13 year old sons think they are a pain..... and they are very happy to walk everywhere but then they are mega into fitness! 😊
yeah it’s crazy in corralejo supposed to be 5 mph in the bicycle lanes but they are flat out , if you accidentally cross the line on bicycle lane it’s scary 😟
I think they are a good idea in principle but they should be banned on the main strip Ave. Ntra. Sara del Carmen as its too busy in peak months and tourists don't see the bike lanes as it is. There was already a crash with a car a few weeks back how long till a pedestrian is hit
I don't find them a problem. I have used to go from harbour to Nicos bar when there are no taxis, but I am only here for 2 weeks at a time, so I don't see the problem's they cause but I do find them useful
Definitely don't like the scooters as they're dangerous with the speed people do on them, seen near misses a few times, Corner house is defo the best sport bar
@@DavidEvansVlogs over in 8 weeks will definitely watch out for these walking down the main strip and will call in the main street pub and say hello 👋 even tho every time u see u I shout hello nomad brothers lol 😂
I am not a fan at all. I’ve seen a few accidents it isn’t worth the risk spoiling your holiday. I’ll put my money in the local taxi drivers pocket’s instead and have a great time.
