Im lucky my real man rescued this broken, beaten thing from a womens refuge. After two weeks of knowing me, spent all his savings on a home for us! I didn't know he had any money! He has saved my life on multiple occasions due to my disabilities. He works nights, so he can be with me all day! He always says he doesn't think i could possibly work and actively stops me from worrying about work! He's my world, even if you have to wait till late in life! Keeps your eyes open, oh, and yes, we have the odd argument and fall out! But we know we're not going anywhere! Thanks, Cliff!

Veteran, father, husband. Had a great job and provided my part for the family. My wife's business took off so I made the hard decision to help support her dream and quit my job to help her run the business. Was very difficult at first, felt like I wasn't doing my part to provide. Still bugs me sometimes. I swear it is in our DNA man. Best decision I have ever made though. Men, just know there are great woman out there. If you see the red flags in the beginning, learn to question those flags. If no change, then move on. Men can have standards too.

My boyfriend and I both work hard. He just recently opened up to me and told me that he was scared I was going to leave him because we don't get much time together due to him taking all the hours he possibly can, working back to back doubles just to make ends meet. Hearing this song hit me hard and made me think of that. I would never leave him because of that. What I told him was this, it's never me verses him, it's us verses the situation. I wish more people had that mentality in relationships.

It comes down to communication, respect, and valuing your partner. I was married for 16 years and he came home one day upset. My brother had passed and I was having a hard time functioning. the house was a mess.He told me I was a horrible mother and I hadn’t contributed to the household in 6 years. That was it. That’s how my relationship ended. He moved in with the girl he’d been cheating on me with and I’ve spent the last years raising my daughters. When we were together he’d had 2 back surgeries .We were not surviving off of his disability. We were living off my paycheck. I always worked I always contributed but he didn’t see that. He didn’t see my worth. Since the end of my marriage I have opened 2 businesses and I still work a third job. My point is to any man out there… if your partner doesn’t see you…. Run!!! You’ll survive and thrive without them!!

I been Job searching for the last year, turning 20 next month with no work experience, been really eating at me, making me feel utterly useless, I'm lucky to have parents who care enough to let me stay with them, can't even imagine what some others are going through. I love my work, our income is sufficient, the cost of living is crazy. And yes we do have our moments, we feel it. Provision works both ways. I can honestly and happily say my man can provide in other ways. We don't have a high lifestyle, but we do have substancial 'know how' and wisdom...🤙☝️😌

I know with my ex girlfriend she didn't work for a year and a half. I sacrificed my time and energy to take care of her and her 2 kids working 40 plus hours plus doing door dash another 20 hours or so a week. Then I wasn't spending enough time with the kids. Mind you she doesn't get child support her ex husband is in prison for disgusting charges. I still stuck by her even with the disrespectful behavior and I am still around for the kids. They at 9 and 12 show me way more respect than she ever could.

All these women out here that say that they want a "real" man aren't real women, they won't lift a finger if their man is struggling whether it be financially, physically, mentally, or other. You can't demand a real man and not be a real woman. If your man is out there working himself to death for you to stay at home that man should come home to a hot meal, a clean house, and a wife that isn't nagging or bitchin the moment he walks through the door, as a woman you should be his peace, his safe place, make him feel comfortable enough to open up and not keep all of that bottled up! I won't let my man work 2 or 3 jobs for me to just sit home, we're in this together and I'd like to keep him alive and healthy so I can have more days with him, I don't want him to go to an early grave because he pushed himself to hard so I can be comfortable. When you're in a relationship it is a partnership, that means both people put in the effort to make things work. I absolutely despise that saying that men have "happy wife happy life" fuck that! men deserve to be happy too! Men are the most simple beings to make happy and these women out here can't figure it out, feed em, fuck em, and don't nag them to death!

He's got a good girl and he's about to have a third son with her this winter...he works for Kubota but I worry if he makes enough to handle 3 kids. Being a father of two children and a husband, I work two jobs and it’s still not enough for two years in a row trying to improve my family station we’ve had to do mold remediation, and because of a faulty AC install which insurance doesn’t cover anytime I don’t feel good. I’m sick or I’m tired. I cover it up to be strong for my family so this song really hit a nerve with me.

This was a beautiful, honest reaction and I appreciate you. It is so tough to bring these issues to the forefront and attempt to open people's eyes, but you did so with grace and respect. My husband walked in and rescued myself and my 3 year old daughter. I was attempting to make ends meet and raise a child. We were living at a hotel and I was waitressing, life was beyond stressful and going nowhere. My husband came in, gave us a stable home, and unfathomable love. He put me back on my feet and we haven't looked back since. Our 3 children live a beautiful life, with their mama at home, all because of this wonderful man who works his ASS off. ❤ Loved the reaction!

I agree with your grandpa, it’s harder economically for young people today. It’s not possible to live on one salary anymore. You have to communicate what’s important, you work on your goals and dreams together. I also know couples, where the husband makes plenty of money, and ends up losing everything because he choose his work before family. Mijo I love your grandpa’s sentiment he keeps going because of grandma. That was us at the end for him. But he was comforted, by our daughters and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Man this song has been so much for me. My wife showed me this song crying and hugged me to say she was glad I wasn't like her father. That hit me so hard. I know she had a rough childhood but it really mattered when she tod me I'm a good father and husband. I'm trying so hard to break the cycle and my son is the sweetest gentleman I know. To all the men watching and listening to this video, I do want you to know that not every woman NEEDS a provider and someone to shoulder ALL responsibilities. A "real" woman, in today's age, will not want you to push your dreams aside but will support you to do whatever you want to do. She will have her own dreams and would hope you would support her too. She will not let you shoulder all financial responsibilities either... she will also understand the families financial position rather than being in the dark about it all. She will be your teammate, support, your biggest cheerleader.. your companion. While I understand the song and how many men likely feel this way, I do want you all to know that many of us women just need a partner we can trust... we will work out the rest together.

24 yrs together. we parted ways permently at her decision recently. I got my bag, a Fn massive one. But it took me 24 years, working 12 to 18 hours a day, 6 to 7 days a week to learn how to do what I do. No one I care for will want for anything important again. The world is my oyster, but I have no purpose and little desire without purpose. There is no pearl to be found it seems. I realized today, I spent a career becoming the go-to guy to fix what others cant in a corporte world. And everything in my own life that I wish I could fix is not fixable, because I cant rewind time. Even myself, just want to feel apprciated (perhaps for the first time in my life) and even that, which is so simple, is not easy to find in this world. Easier to become someones sucker if im not careful these days. Oh the irony.

You are one of the true ones. I think a lot can feel the true you in these reactions and breakdowns. You do not get that with 99% of people who do this and we all appreciate it! I can relate. I got out of a 15 year commercial lending role to start my own custom knife company 4 years ago. Been a rollercoaster but I put in 12+ , most of the time time 16+ hours a day 7 days a week. As a one man operations still and making everything from nothing to a finished product from raw material myself, I have to do everything else also that pertains to marketing, selling , customer service and all that comes with a traditional business. It is hard to explain to my wife, who also works very hard at her job 10-12 hours a day but they work 4 days a week, without coming across as an ass, how hard it is. Keep up the great work Cliff!

Great reaction to a great song touching a real subject! Today sucks, I started working when I was 14 full-time during the summers and now I'm turning 41 post-miltary career as a leader of a team. My wife hasn't worked in 3 years due to health and I just saw that what I make is what a single person should be making and what we should be making as a family of 4 is more than 2.5x what I earn alone. Times are really rough. We keep going though.

The stress most will go through and never mention it, take the weight of the world on their shoulders and still doesn't know how to ask for help because he feels that's a sign of weakness, so does whatever he has to so that he can provide for his. All the while he's breaking down The old addage of being over worked under paid and begins to pull away from everyone because he can't even face the ones he loves because he feels like a let down.
