Clarification❤ I will be vlogging the entire IVF process in detail, the only thing I’m hesitant about is the GENETIC details of the embryos. I’m still praying about how/if I want to share that and which platform is the best for that. Love you guys ❤

I could see people being upset. Basically your trying to make money off of sensitive information about the embryo. If it’s sensitive information just don’t share it instead of trying to make money off of people. You don’t need to make money off of everything especially things your not comfortable sharing! You don’t ever have to share things that you don’t want to. Protect your privacy online!

I think the majority of the negative response was simply because asking for money to see the content, when you could just not share it all together, rubs people the wrong way. Especially the ones who have been here since you had less followers. $7 a month is more than just a couple dollars for a lot of people, and for people who just want to support you? It’s your journey and you 100% reserve the right to decide what you do and don’t share but monetizing it is a weird move.

Rachel, I’m so sorry that people are mean to you regarding your journey of IVF. As a Christian, it hurts me to see other ‘Christians’ say the things they say to you. You don't owe anyone anything. Period, full stop. My heart breaks when content creators share how they are being pressured, bullied, or harassed by their fanbase on any platform. It's foul. Keep your chin pointed up to the sun, give yourself the space to think about what YOU want to share, be at peace with that, and let the hateful, entitled masses fall away. Life is too short to lose sleep over people like that. Keep going, you are doing great.

I think some people just aren't into baby/pregnancy content. It doesn't necessarily mean they are haters, they just prefer other content. I don't relate to baby/pregnancy content and usually gradually stop watching vloggers who become mom vloggers cause it just doesn't interest me and I dont relate anymore at that point. No hate here, I like you and I hope everything works out for you how you want it to.

I’m a subscriber, but a quiet one. This is only constructive criticism. I would suggest not to share your embryo details with your viewers. As you mentioned it’s private details. That part of IVF is very private. You’re going to be dealing with very personal feelings, pains, and a lot that comes with it. You’re going to have people who are going to say things that are just flat out rude, and hateful. So, just not to deal with extra unneeded hate, it’s better to keep that part very private. That’s just my personal opinion. Keep that between you, your husband, and future kiddos. Just remember there’s always going to be haters. But, you’ll always have more people who support you. Good luck in your journey.

Let me try and explain this from a supporters perspective. Losing subscribers. I feel like OK whatever if they don’t wanna watch this Content, it’s perfectly fine for them to unsubscribe because when I’m feeling like a creator that I watch no longer serves me I definitely unsubscribe because I’m not gonna be on there being negative… But as it concerns the Instagram subscriptions, I think what it is, is that it’s not like you’re withholding the information because you’re just not gonna be sharing that at all on any platform. you’re basically withholding it to sell it to us on a different platform and we as a collective feel like we have supported you throughout the entire process before you got to this point by watching the videos, and watching the adds which makes you money so to have us go to a different platform and then try to charge us, for the content is a little off-putting. In addition to that, I feel like this is information that could help so many people who are possibly going through the same things that you are going through in regards to walking them through the process. If it’s some thing they have never been through before and are trying to get into. And I truly love your presence and support you, so I hope that you don’t take this the wrong way, but I’m explaining how I feel hearing this and how other people might feel, but might not be able to put it into words

Respectfully, I haven't seen any hate in your comments. Differing opinions, yes. Calls to consider other moral controversies of IVF, yes. Disagreement doesn't equal hate. On the same turn, post what you like. If you take your content to a paid platform, you may lose subscribers. I won't pay any amount of money, even for content I like. RU-vid is free for a reason.

Entitled people will always be angry at a boundary being put up. The rest of us enjoy your content with as much or as little as you want to share.

Rachel, honestly, just dont post any embryo information....or for that matter, dont post ANYTHING you are uncomfortable with, you arent obligated too and nobody in their right mind would even put that expectation on you! Even if it makes some people sad/mad...its not their business. Its so easy for subs to feel as if they are entitled to your life, but theyre not. Even though you do social media, you should feel empowered to only share what you deem appropriate to share with the world. The internet truly perplexes me! You create sooo much free content for everyone’s entertainment (during exceptionally trying times) and are fully entitled to have a premium option to share exclusive content. I wonder if other influencers have had similar backlash, as it may be it’s IG subs as a whole that isn’t super compelling. It may also be the case that when people convert US$ into their currency (I’m in South Africa) it seems higher than you intended it or lands in a way that irritates people? As someone with a tiny channel, I do find it curious that AdSense needs some serious critical mass to be meaningful and I’m guessing IG subs is a way to support the creator economy when most people could never afford to do YT full time. Not even you do YT full time and you have a big audience and are exceptionally talented! It’s crazy, I think sometimes the maths doesn’t add up for people. I think that if you decide to share the details on subscriptions, someone who is paying is going to share it with the rest of your subscribers anyway. you may have lost some haters from your IVF journey, but you've gained supporters too. I started following you (and subscribed) because of your fertility journey! With respect to your embryo information, I think you should share whatever you are comfortable with, and keep the rest private. I wouldn't only share for the paid IG people, as haters will also pay to get info and leak it and genuine supporters may not be in a position to pay (imo). So only share publicly what you're comfortable with being out there. There are people out here generally wishing for the best for you and respect your decisions to share (or not)! I personally find the fertility/IVF information really helpful and informative, but I also 100% respect that this is your story to tell (or not)!

What you choose to do with your embryo's is absolutely nobody's business (even if you ARE a youtuber sharing your life online). I think the subscriber thing may be a good way to communicate with a smaller group of people who are more "invested" in the more intimate parts of your life that you're willing to open up to for support, camaraderie, etc.. It's not a matter of trying to make money off of people's support and friendship - it's a way to make sure the right people are there for the right reasons so you feel more comfortable sharing something so personal. I've been a follower since the beginning, I have not paid for the subscription, but I'm not angry at you in any way for how YOU choose to share YOUR business :) Much love and support to you, Rachel!

I never thought about how birth control can make you groggy. I’ve been on it for 5 years and I’m always tired.. I did just find out I’m low in iron, vit d and b12 so that doesn’t help. Side note, people are crazy.. I don’t get the entitlement and I know it’s easier said than done but try and focus on the kind messages. I’m an IVF mama. Not an influencer but I approached the whole process to only share what felt comfortable with. If people asked something I didn’t feel comfortable with I just said “we don’t want to share that” and didn’t open the door again. What if you shared percentages instead of actual? - we retrieved the number of eggs my Dr expected (or more or less) - we had an 80% fertilization route - we had 25% become day 5 embryos and 10% become day 6 embryos You don’t owe anyone any information BUT there are so many who are rooting for you guys!

As someone who decided IVF is not for us I’m always super curious and interested in what other people do with their journey but if it’s too much pressure at the moment, just don’t share. If you ever change your mind in the future you can. Best of luck ✨

Put your boundaries in place and don’t budge. If your mama heart is wanting to keep information to yourself and your family for any reason, especially if it’s to protect the privacy and dignity of your future babies lean into that. Don’t share anything that you aren’t very sure about sharing. No one is entitled to your personal/medical information. You’re on a journey to become a mama and God has blessed you and your family with opening the doors to get there, continue doing what you do and don’t let anyone try to pressure or bully you into sharing information you don’t feel comfortable sharing. I'm here because i like the productivity aspect of your channel. I don't want to have kids and more often than not, a lot of youtubers who started vlogging or making content particular to their niche end up making their whole channel about pregnancy and after babies (if that makes sense). Which further makes me feel like the channel loses it's identity (in the sense that it wasn't what it was). Like don't get me wrong, you have kids and its nice to see them every now and then but if the whole channel shifts I end up unsubscribing because that's not what i'm there for. In terms of your journey documentaion, you could always make a private instagram or facebook page and only add people who're interested in that content. I don't know if those channels make money but it would be a way to keep your journey private. I sincerely apologise if this comes off as rude or nasty. I'm only trying to give you a different prospective. I also hope and pray that your journey goes well and safe. Remember though just because its not happening the way you want it to, doesn't mean he's not with you. He's looking and your paryes will be answered. I do think you'd make an amazing mother ❤❤.

I'm so sorry you have to go through all this hate and anger directed at you. If you're not sure about the embryo information you want to post online, maybe it's better to set some boundaries and just not post certain things at all. Most RU-vidrs I've seen go through IVF didn't go into many details about embryos, they just talked about the process (which you are already doing), how many viable embryos they had, and how many they inserted, and that's it. Something to think about! Wishing you good luck and calm in this next phase of your life! Can't wait for good news!

I would always err on the side of caution with sharing details. Not that there is anything to be ashamed of but there are some strange people out there who will put a downer on everything lol. There’s nothing wrong with keeping some things private. I’m 32 and I had cancer of the uterus so I can’t have children. There are other ways of course.All the best with it. X

You don't need to share about the embryos at all. You don't even need to share about your IVF process. Your IVF journey is only gonna last a short while, and if people subscribed to you for IVF, that will end and if they aren't interested in YOU and YOUR content then they will unsub later or won't watch your non IVF related videos. Your real subscribers are here for you, not what you do.

The fact that some people are mad, or upset what you do with your BODY! is really immature, its your body, your choice.. if you wanna do IVF then do it!!!! Its your life, let the haters hate and you'll gain more genuine subscribers! Also some things you just wanna keep to yourself so if you choose not to share the embryo transfer then some of us support your decision! There is no need to feel obligated to share your PERSONAL information. People who feel that way or entitled to that I just have no words. We forget to be concerned about how we are feeling in a situation because we worry so much about how something will make someone else feel. In this situation you are the only person who’s feelings and opinions matter. If you don’t want to share , don’t share If you are feeling this way because of what people are saying to you and feel you need a break from this, take it.
