Beautiful vlog Dany. Maya Bay brings back so many memories. I was first walking on the sand at this stunning cove a year after “The Beach” premiered. It still had the feeling of being “undiscovered” in the earlier days. Glad it’s reopened under tighter control after many years of tourist abuse and that you got to experience one of the best locations in the world. You are quite simply the king of kings amongst vloggers. Always bang on with your advice, content and quality. Much love to you both 💙👍

Dany, these views of Maya Bay are stunning and gorgeous indeed! Loved your aerial drone videography. (Oh, and the music too!) The backgrounds with the ladies as the subjects are wonderfully beautiful and spectacular too! Yes, that's a bad experience and letdown with that boat driver. (Blacklist him!) When it comes to beaches I'm all about privacy and warm waters... In the Gold Coast of Florida there are 5 free beaches in a 200 mile range. Mid summer I go there and always pristine and relatively empty at my favorite times (sunrise and sunset). Free parking, Free showers, Free bathrooms. Nobody trying to sell you anything and retail near by.

Pro Tip: it’s always best to grab the tail boat from Phi Phi in the afternoon that way all of the tourists would have come and gone by then and you’ll have the area to yourself.

I went 22 years ago. No tourist. Me, my friend, and the boat driver. Spent the day on Maya Beach. Spent a month on the beach side of Koh Pi Pi, on the beach in a little hut. One great nightclub.

Maya Bay belongs to the Phi Phi National Park located on the west coast of Phi Phi Island. It is mainly famous for being the site where the Hollywood film “The Beach” was shot. The sea is crystal clear, the sand soft and white. It is an incredibly picturesque location.

@@Danygotaworldtosee it use to be really beautiful now its overcome with tourists and the infrastructure is not up to pare. Sewage is enadequate. They closed it down for a while but unfortunately did not have the foresight to rebuild it properly after the last Saname. :(

😍. Those crowds weren’t bad at all! In 2017 when we went, there were about 3 times the amount of people and all the boats parked in the bay. It was chaos! You’re lucky to see it how it is now - pristine and relatively quiet😍

March of 2018, some friends and I anchored in Maya Bay for the night in a sailboat, and had the whole place to ourselves after all the tour boats left. The government shut all the access down six weeks later to rehabilitate the bay, and it was inaccessible for three and a half years. We lucked out.

They closed it for a good reason. Mass tourism destroyed Maya Bay. People were robbing corals! People need rules and Maya Bay should be the example for other beaches around the world.

I live in Thailand. That problem you had with the boat driver and time, happens all the time. The way to avoid it is not to pay them until the END OF THE AGREEMENT. That’s the way to survive all over the world. Once they have their money, there’s less incentive to do the agreed upon thing and more incentive to charge more and more money or just screw you over.

Awesome video man! I’m new to your channel and it’s really nice to Re-live Maya bay again, I went there in 2017 I believe and it was closed could only see it from the boat. Nice to see there are strict rules in place now to save the coral and sea life! Dope intro song may I ask what the name is? Reminds me of moby’s “porcelain” from the BEACH movie.
