Mercedes and she are straight forward as fuck, they're characters aware of their tropes (religious naive girl and easy flirtatious girl). The best part is that they rebel on their trope because they use it as a facade. That makes them a lot more realistic. I think at some point Mercedes tells her that despite their opposite personalities they're still similar. Half of the supports of Mercedes is she roasting the nobles she also flirts a little bit. Very impressed how they played the boring trope of the religious girl.
As a person I only admire that she doesn’t force others to face their adversities and offer them companionship instead. Her reason for escaping her responsibilities makes perfect sense, but apart from that those are the only two things I admire or relate with her on. She’s a solid unit apart from that but I don’t care for her as much as other characters in the game.
I love Hilda. Not as a romance option but just personality wise. She uses her looks and cunning to manipulate people but she's always aware when she's about to go too far. It's like she uses people but genuinely cares about them and gives back. You can admire her ability to manipulate but you never feel she's a horrible person for doing so. It's a weird dynamic. Plus you know, she absolutely wrecks people with her axe :)
I honestly did not expect the lazy girl to be one of my favorite characters But here I am, and I absolutely love Hilda (no small part due to her being a beast of a unit)

I had a conversation with my friend in discord last night: Me: hey, what units have you been using in your GD run? How’s that hilarious Raphael build going? If he has Freikugel then what happened with Hilda? Friend: Oh, well, I like her, but she didn’t fit in my team so I benched her. Me: YOU BENCHED HILDA?! And that is the story of how I lost a friend. :)
Heart ache he didn’t try anything special with the skills or anything, he just rushed him as a Holy Knight to see what would happen. Apparently he is still quite helpful, dealing hefty damage and solid healing alike.
Each time Hilda have someone else do her chores, I can't help but imagine Byleth coming behind her, put his/her hand on Hilda's shoulder, and say "How funny that you found another way to escape from your duties. AGAIN. - Huh, professor, I have very good explanation for - REMEDIAL COURSES, NOW !"
Golden Deer have the best girls. Unique, quirky and even tragic, without ever crossing over into annoying like certain purple haired archers. Only Petra compares. I think I really fell in love with Hilda during the Battle of the Eagle and Lion, when she cleaved Hubert in half with a steel axe, critting him for more than double his HP and leveling from it. Then I heard her say that she’s still a delicate flower.

I made Hilda into Pegasus Knight because she would be the type of girl that really hates to walk but are same time She would be ok with flying around the battlefield. (I didnt made her into Wyvern Rider because Claude was my Wyvern Rider.)
I feel like my Hilda doesn't crit as much as people say she would, she does from to time but even with the Crit Ring, she sometimes does. But alas, she *is* best girl. (Used to be Dorothea)
Sorry but it comes of to me as if she basicaly joined the academy to impress her older brother? Hilda deserves the name she got, because it's a name for a female warrior.
