We have a Syrian hamster her name is "sweet pea", when ever we give her her favorite treats carrots are definitely one of them, she will try to take the whole baby carrot from you. Its really cute how she tries to take it very carefully but demandingly by trying to remove our fingers by biting at the end of the carrot to grasp it better. :) they are very trusting if you treat them with love and respect.

I have a Campbell's dwarf hamster named gizmo. He doesnt like human company as much as I would like but I still love him. Hes just grumpy most of the time and bites my fingers but it doesn't even hurt. Hes especially grumpy if I interrupt him sleeping.

Hey if you’re reading this comment, I just want to say that giving hamsters a big enclosure (450 square inch+) is important! And since hamsters are burrowers; as the video says, adding lots of bedding is important too! Hiding spots, enrichment, correct diet and big enough wheels are also important. Make sure to do your research on an animal before getting one :D

Most old people in Germany make "hamstern". They go shopping for several months and store the food in their basement. they do that because they have experienced the war and if something happens again they are prepared

Quick reminder: The tunnels were needed in this video to show the hamster's behavior. They are NOT SUITABLE for pet hamsters. Those need to be kept in a tank with lots of bedding to dig their own tunnels in. *Please* do lots of research before getting a hamster, and if you do, adopt, never ever buy animals from pet stores. This has been a PSA. Have a nice one :)

@@garfield5986 Sadly, there's a lot of misinformation about hamsters. Originally they are not pets - in their natural environment, the Syrian desert, they run many miles per night and live up to five feet below the ground! The breeding (the way it's being done, unfortunately, the word "production" would almost be more suitable) of pet hamsters should be stopped as you cannot replicate the living conditions they need. I don't mean any disrespect but I honestly don't understand how people come to the conclusion that placing a rodent in a plastic box with plastic tubing will somehow benefit them. Please take some time to do your research ♡ Hamsters are such amazing creatures, they deserve a life worth living, just like we all do.

My hamster does not have Tubes in his cage, instead a small fish tank so he can borrow as much as he wants, also he made a hole in the bottom of his cage so thats the way to block it from him.

Once I brought my hamster to a groomer who accidently squeezed my hamster a little too tightly while cutting its nails that my hamster expelled all the food from his pouches onto the table and he started trying to stuff the food back into his pouch😂😂😂 the amt of food hamsters can store in their pouch is amazing
