@@cinemmon Thought a major reason Yeri finally became active was because of Joy joining "WE Got Married". Yeri officially joined RV Mar 2015. Joy joined the cast of "We Got Married" Jun 2015 - Mar 2016. Joy wouldn't be 100% available to RV starting in June. Certainly for many RV activities other than their main MVs.

Right? She was there from the get go but wasn’t able to perform or join RV just yet because she was too young. According to Korean law, 15-year olds only have a set amount of hours they can work for and that was how old Yeri was in 2014 and SM clearly didn’t wanna risk it. So they waited until 2015 with ICC :)

Seulgi's dad who submitted her applicant coz he knew how much his daughter loves Singing and dancing, who immediately bought a drum set the moment seulgi said she wanted to learn drums, Seulgi's dad who calls her "My Princess", Her Dad who will screenshot articles of you being no. 1 on Brand Reputation, brags about about Boa chosing Seulgi as one of the best idols and her being on the 29th place of most besutiful people, going to SM coex to thank fan who's giving seulgi sticker on her bday, shouting "you did really well my princess" on RV first concert as well as making Seulgi his profile picture always. Man, her dad is so precious.

The information about SM never adding a new member in an already existent group before is not true. In 2006, Kyuhyun joined Super Junior a few months after the group's debut in 2005.

Seulgi being called SM secret weapon and second tayeon during their early days because of her talent She's one of the few (I think only 5 or 7 ) who passed the legendary SM Saturday audition for the past 20 years. As a trainee she was pretty popular among co-trainees and idols at SM ( a lot wishes her to debut already) I'm glad she was able to endure those 7 years of training look at her now. Her dad knew how much she loves singing and dancing that's why he pushed her to auditioned.

Coz RV gives me happiness i only see in RV too that a sincere,truth girls(no plastic)very warm ,humble and down to earth artist,fun,cool,witty love each other,on -off cam, so pleasant and very approahable lastly Red Velvet is not a sisterhood like anyone out their, they are family and they always love,look,care each other as wendy called they are really a family not a persuing sisterhood for a fan for on-off cam. As you already pointed out Yeri was supposed to be in Red Velvet from the very beginning. The reason she wasn't is because right before Happiness was released, the South Korean Fair Trade Commission changed the labor laws to better protect Kpop trainees... forbidding trainees under the International age of 16 from working more than 35 hours a week. This would have been extremely disruptive to a group that had just debuted as trainees sometimes have to work long hours. Especially where video shoots and travel time are involved. So they waited a few months until she was old enough.

Yes this story was circulating back then, when RV's lines up got fixed another theory began that the other girls might debut years later but it didn't happen. Another theory was circulating again that SMEnt will debut a gg and many thought this might be the SMmokies which Yeri was part before she became part of RV. Years later when the final line for the upcoming debut got fixed (Ig?) I heard the other legendary smrookies began leaving the company.

I "discovered" Red Velvet via Joy because of her role in a K-Drama I watched a couple of years back and I have gone from a very casual fan to one who buys all of their new music the minute it drops. Super Junior actually started as a project group. I think they were called like Super Junior 05 or something? Once Kyuhyun was added, they made them an official group.

Super Junior was a project group which SM loved to title as the 'failures' of the company. Kyuhyun wanted to debut solo, but was added to the group regardless. Suddenly they hit big and SM decided to stop adding members due to fans disliking it after Henry.. So they made Super Junior M with Zhoumi and Henry. Super Junior was no longer a project group what would disband after few years. Ryeowook was meant to actually debut in Shinee after Super Junior would disband. He also was meant to be the next BoA when he was younger but instead he wanted to be in a group and he was doing some pretty hard dieting

A year late to comment & becos of the pandemic, I got myself into the whole K-Pop scene and LOVING IT!!! Funny to realize that RV was ALWAYS an ot5 right from the very beginning (due to strict Labor Laws). I didn't even know Yeri's picture from "Happiness" until it was emphasized!! All I can say, it's 2020 now and I'm eagerly YET patiently waiting for another AMAZING cb by the end of the year...... I hope!!!! Lol. Good job on these videos!!!

When you mentioned that Seulgi was well known with other trainees, I instantly thought of Amber when she said she knew her when she was a trainee 😍 (( aLSo! 13 days after Red Velvet debut sm released and sm rookies video where you can see Yeri is watching the Happiness mv and then the video ends with someone calling her to practice (I think it's either Wendy's or Irene's voice). Fun Fact: _how Red Velvet got their name._ The group's original name was _Da Salamanderz._ It came from Lee Soo Man's favorite exotic pet, an australian yellow salamander. During their practice, the choreographer fed the yellow salamander with a red velvet cake that she bought on her way to SM building. The salamander died instantly, Lee Soo Man fired the choreographer and it started raining. When Lee Soo Man went to the cafeteria, he saw the cafeteria ceiling had bad water leaks and prompt him to renovate the cafeteria which is now bigger and better. The vocal trainer decided to name the group *Red Velvet.* When Lee Soo Man knew about the name of the company's new girl group, he asked his personal driver to take him to the best chiropractor in Seoul.
