As a former 3rd Class HT, now you’re in my lane. We were never appreciated until there is a clog or a fire. Back in my day we used sea water for commodes & urinals. When they were clogged, we used good old fire main to clear the lines. We’d use DC Plugs to isolate the blockage and the attach an adaptor we fabricated to end of the line and let her rip. 150 PSI of water clears anything out of the way. Someone is on the fantail, and when they see the water blasting out of a discharge you knew the clog was cleared. Except one time when we missed a riser, and the pressure went up a deck into an officer’s stateroom. An officer was sleeping when water came blasting out his shitter. He called DC Central in a panic, and thus we found out why the clog wasn’t cleared. The best part, is didn’t have clean up unless our division owned the space BTW, that's called a Bullseye that tells you frame, deck, and owner of the space.
