On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

F-35s especially are referred to as "quarterback," using their long range sensors and networking with other F-35s to provide a common operating picture for all Allied 4th generation aircraft Would like to get a sense of how F-35s directing F-15EX and other Allied aircraft would look in various scenarios.

@@lat78610 the F-15EX will be carrying AIM-260 which have an effective range of over 100 miles. The F-15EX acts as a missle truck while the F-35s provide guidance for missles launched from the F-15s. Additionally, the next generation AWACS can provide guidance for the AIM-260 missle until it goes pitbull for terminal guidance. That means that aircraft will shoot missles without a lock performing a handoff to the guiding aircraft.

@@mytech6779Yes, True to "an extent". I worked with the F 15 and its engines and intantaneous turn rates and even its speed from public access sources is, well "conservative", but not as conservative as listed for the F 22. The F 16 benifits from the the same engines, and usaully has the EEP versions, moreso than the F 15. However, the Raptor has a wider range of kinematic, avionic, and even its all aspect stealth is considerably better than puplic access sources to a larger degree than the F 18/16 or 15 true capabilities are. It's true nose pointing capabilty is classified, but its way better than the 34+ deg in DCS, hint hint. Forget the two circle F 16 versus F 22, the Viper would stand no chance. Its stealth is better than the data points DCS is using. Even from WVR, radar guided stuff is still challenged. The synergistic all aspect stealth, supercruize, super manueverability, battle field air to air networking make a higher synergy than for 4th or the 4.5 gen fighters. Even its publically listed supercruize speed is "conservative" . Mach 1.5 even several sources listing 1.8 is well, its true at lower altidudes. I'll leave it at that. Bottom line is the Raptor is purposely underated moreso than any other fighter. As a former Air Force officer, I also worked with the SR 71, I will just blatantly say its true service ceiling is way north of 100 k feet, without saying what it is. Depends on Latidude as well. Its top speed is still classified, but its alot more than the 3.5 or 3.58 that even the SR pilots have "alluded to". It has another operating range as a near pure ramjet not talked about well above what any afterburning turbo jet can do, including its own J 58s. If they really only had flown mach 3.5 and a measily 85 -86 k feet, some would have been shot down. None were, but they were fired on, alot.

Nobody in USAF or Air National Guard wants F-15EX. F-15EX is a non-starter, politically-mandated, budget-sucker that has little relevance in the future. USAF never asked for F-15EX, but was told by SECDEF Shanahan and Boeing shill Adam Smith HASC Chairman they were getting it. Governors and Congressmen are fighting to keep their ANG bases from getting F-15EX. They all want F-35As.

Keep in mind that even in the open position the bay doors have sawtoothing, RAM, and a whole bunch of other design features to minimise RCS as much as possible, and from a frontal/side-on aspect it's quite conceivable that the messy bay innards are simply obscured by the stealthy body of the aircraft

F-22 definitely by far my favorite aircraft ever made. That being said obviously the F-35 was mass produced and exported which the F-22 was never for a reason. I know an Air Force pilot who flew F-15’s and the F-35 he said the F-35 was amazing and obviously way more capable than any modern aircraft. You just can’t beat the superior 22.

One of my high school friends became an F-15C pilot and appeared in Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag flying one of the planes. He once told me the only thing that he was scared of was an F-22 because there was no fight to be had. You were dead before you knew another plane was out there. Fortunately, not a fight he was ever going to have to actually face.

from my experience it odesnt matter what type of aircraft you fly in terms of a dogfight but in terms of BVR the Raptor can be your worst nightmare, from being a wizzo on a F/A 18F super hornet ( Gladiators ) we usually dominate the airforce's Raptors due to the training we had in Miramar FL. I miss hearing my driver saying and I qoute " watch our six man, radar can't see shit " when were up against a F22 raptor during every REDFLAG exercise that I experienced. the raptor dominates both BVR and WVR, and it has some features in which the hornet lacks such as, power to weight ratio or recovering the speed it needs to get in to a firing position (guns) unlike the raptor and lastly Stealth. again in terms of a dogfight it doesn't matter what type of aircraft you are flying in all depends on the skills of the driver/pilot but when it comes to BVR it is a much different story in which the Raptor will surely dominate. TAKE NOTE: What's the point of a technologically advance and maneuverable aircraft if the pilot is Ill-equipped. As I understand it the DCS model of the F-35 shows far less stealth capability at medium to long range than that which it has been credited with. Red Flag shows a far more lethal RCS and IR signature than appears to be the case here. It's also firing as good if not better weapons than F22 and with a higher degreee of S/A. I thinks its nerfed in DCS. GS?

The DCS version of both F22 and F35 are fan made, trying to work within the existing frameworks and approximate the real aircraft as best as possible but in the end it’s all guesswork. The reality is that both aircraft are so thoroughly classified and will still be for decades and an official module in our lifetime isn’t particularly likely

@G M The F-35 in DCS is in my opinion one of the worst mods because it is nowhere near the real jet in kinetic performance or stealth. If you have seen the F-35 Demo Team perform in any airshow post 2019 (all F-35's before 2019 still operated under a 5 G limit), you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't seen the F-35A flight demo, do yourself a favor and check it out, there are plenty of videos right here in you tube. The F-35 is _beast!_ Flies like a baby Raptor, soooo not joking. Whatever gets in a WVR dogfight with a F-35 thinking "oh this should be easy" is gonna _maybe_ live just long enough to get the word 'easy' out before becoming a smoking hole in the ground.

Keep in mind this is likely only 40% of what the Raptor is truly capable of IRL. If I were Russia or China I would be terrified of the F-22A

There are too few active for duty F-22, production was stopped and it can only use AA missiles, so not really something to worry about. Very overrated in a real scenario. F-22 is basically like the Me-262 in WW-2, superior to most aircraft but too few and limited use.

@@JazzJaRa Holy shit your comment was way off base. Where in the 9 circles of hell do you get your info from? There are 187 operational F-22A's in service. The F-22A just using its internal storage system can deploy 2x 1000lb JDAM's or 8x 250lb GBU-39 SDB's. Even some basic research could have told you this.
