Neither of the current "Air Force One" planes are 747-800s, both presidential planes are 747-200s. The only two 747-800s I'm aware of are the two that are currently being modified to replace the current 747-200s. It also requires more than one military transport to move the motorcade, they use at least three of them.

You never mentioned the president often travels with two or more sets of his helicopter and ground transportation convoys. This way when he flies from say Seoul, South Korea to Tokyo Japan on the same day, another set of presidential convoy is available waiting for him as soon as Air Force One lands

I wonder how many “Beasts” there are? You’d think at least four because he’d still need two to take him to AF1 then another two to collect him wherever he flies to. It would be impractical to try to drop the Pressie off, be loaded onto transport aircraft, fly faster than AF1 to get to destination first, unload then be at the bottom of AF1 steps.

That was my question and thinking too. But its not only the 'Beast' that has to be there before the President, its the entire motorcade. How can the motorcade be there first before the President arrives at the destination. Anyone know the answer?

Yes, the C-5 Galaxy arrives before Air Force 1 lands. When President Biden came to Ottawa, the C-5 Galaxy had arrived a few hours before Air Force 1 and unloaded the motorcade that would take him downtown.
