I'm trying to learn salamangreat on master duel. Had a recent match where I was able to get set up through some interruptions. I got to a point where i had used my traps so i had nothing to stop my opponent's spells or traps. They pulled a trap that let them summon from my graveyard and took my princess and then pulled a monster reborn and took my raging phoenix in the GY. The turn before that they used a card to destroy one card on the field and chose a spinny i had out. They should have chosen the sanctuary as they would soon discover. Anyway, their idea was to attack my phoenix with the one they stole and then hit me with princess and two other monsters they had. I still had a balelynx in my GY so the stolen raging Phoenix died and went back to my graveyard while mine on the field was okay. He had nothing else high enough to attack so he ended his turn. On my turn i used will of salamangreat and summononed multiple monsters and then used sanctuary to summon my pyro phoenix twice to wipe his entire board. It was game over after that. I'm having a great time learning it and doing stuff like that.
Yeah also you can stop your opponent from crashing into your link monsters with sanctuary 💪🏻 really strong against most decks. Too bad, rivalry is a 1-of
You don't have to play any card for time in side deck my friend :D you have option in your extra deck - summon pyro phoenix, trigger weasel to summon whatever salad link monster to your opponent field, pyro phoenix eff for burning them for ATK of that link monster that was summoned
@@pumpcards it's more dependent if your opp drew some hts but you can save one spot in side deck. Parro is better into hts as you can summon from stalio, then from Princess then from will of the salad and your opp have to preemptively negate it before eff so it's stronger into time than pyro
I don't get why most players never run Salamangreat of Fire at 3. Its better than Lady debug in many ways and most of your extra deck is fire anyways, cyberse wicked is not mandatory to play, you can end on the same boards without it. I just hate seeing players who don't play SP run lady debug.
Of course you can run the Salamangreat of fire and still do good with it. The cyberse wickkid/ lady debug is just more versatile. In this variant you can run for example zealantis, S:P, ty phon, and other generic extra deck staples and also you can search the code of soul with debug, which makes the combo to search ash blossom way more likely to happen. What I also like way more is that you don’t have a choke point on miragestallio because even if the wicckid gets handtrapped you can still go for promethean, where as with balelynx and miragestallio on field, getting handtrapped feels way worse…

I didn´t understand completely the reason why play fenrir. If you are talking about our normal summon being destroyed, in case of debug, we can just search meer and play around it or how can fenrir be used to continue playing?. Also, I imagined one situation: In the scenary of not being nib, if the opponent negates cyberse wicckid but for example I activated its effect with gazelle, I can send spinny with it, make miragestallio and special summon fire to search weasel. Is that one of the reasons to play 1 fire in debug version? Finally, I´ve seen some decklists that cut will to play charge. Certainly if you already have a way to get into roar, you will use raging phoenix´s effect to search charge instead of will for the fact of being a quick spell and the destruction effect. For the late and even the mid game it is really worth it, but in the first turn, to continue playing if we are interrupted, will is much better because of its minor requirements. Fenrir can be a body for promethean princess, but the best thing about it, is that it almost always forces out interruptions from your opponent. Of course you can search Meer with debug, but I do not think, Meer is a reliable good option right now. I would rather have non engine like fenrir. Yeah, that’s the reason why you wanna play 1 fire. Also if you got to mirage stallio without gazelle, you can easily special fire, fire search gazelle and then either dump jack jaguar or weasel with gazelle! :) For charge, you definitely still wanna play will, it is still really strong, but charge is good on its own. I’m super fine with playing both!
@@pumpcards So you mean when I´m going first, if I special summon fenrir and activate its effect, the opponent almost always will interrupt it and it would be with a destruction or removing effect. But I don´t know...In the situation of only having fenrir and debug in hand, and if they don´t do anything to fenrir but to debug, would be some way to continue playing there? I know that it would be just as difficult as with meer
@@pumpcards I know it depends on your locals, but what do you think about playing droplet and called by? Also, you can recover promethean with charge if it gets banished so you maybe don´t need to play 2...?
So im running this same main deck list. Minus the Fenrir and add 1 Rage. I'm maining Sprind In the extra but the extra Princess sounds nice. It's crazy how tight the extra deck space is for Salad 😅
@@christopherperez-tn4fj I've seen that combo and it's good but I prefer to make Lion Emporer in that combo because you can add back more resources and you get Sprinds' on field effect as well
Hello pump! Question! Ive been running debug for the longest and i love that card. I recently switched to of fire with a pure fire extra deck because i got reminded of how heavy ghost ogre is in the format. Thoughts on that? Ogre on debug is worse than nib no?
@pieropando1469 for full combo you have way better adds. You're not gonna draw a starter every time and debug gets slapped in this meta.The way your response is even kind of salty for no reason 😂 it was a question dawg you don't gotta put your personal feelings in play. If youre gonna add Meer off of a starter or lose a card to summon it go ahead but its kind of an L piero lol that's just me.
Besides that, meer not only works when your normal summon gets destroyed, but when it gets removed from the field, either returned to the hand or banished face-up (which are the other most common scenarios) and there you can´t follow up with gazelle or similar.
