Many people do run the tracks all the time although they are easy to remove. There is really no advantage to running just tires in swamp conditions. You might get slightly more water speed with tires but you'll be stuck 100x more often.

Argos are actually not hydraulic, the whine is from being low geared and the camera picks it up a big more than you normally notice.

+luke bishop Did the Argo you puled out of mud hole have tracks like our machines on it that open spaces on them?

Our tracked Argo's go through deep soft mud holes that mud trucks with tracker tires can't make it through. You might have pulled an Argo out of mud with tires, but probably now with Adair tracks on it.

The best tracks are from Adair Argo in Iowa. All the Argos are good machines, but I do prefer the 8x8 over the 6x6 for the increased cargo capacity, better flotation, and smoother ride.
