If there is one, what's a film that YOU felt was unbearably intense?!

Uncut Gems. We now have to measure tension in units of Uncut Gems in this household.

Refn's Pusher trilogy is fantastic. Great to see a dive into the third installment.

The Pusher trilogy is one of the most underrated ever. It makes me sick every time I watch it, and I love it.

I honestly think that each new entry in Pusher trilogy was better than the previous, meaning that the third one is absolute best. Its a miracle how Refn achieved it, especially with changing protagonists each time. I didnt even like Milo is first two, but he was phenomenal in 3rd.

The second was the best, but the fact that he managed to make it interesting every time was impressive.

I love the rawness and documentary style of the first one, but each one is great. The third one being by far the grossest, but the movie actually manages to make the bad guy of part one a compelling main character in part three.

I love the Pusher Trilogy so much, each film is incredible in its' own way. Every once in a while I take an evening and binge all three. But the third just hits different, and I mean that in the best way possible. It takes Milo, a man that the last two films have built up to be genuinely terrifying, and somehow humanizes him. Definitely one of the best crime films of all time. The moment I saw the thumbnail, I clicked.

Love the Pusher films! Each presents you with a detestable main character that you somehow wind up rooting for by the end. That is some great storytelling.

So glad you made this! Finally watched Pusher 3 last month. I wish Zlatko Burić were in more movies. I found him to be such a distinct character in the way that he looks, talks, and carries himself physically. Also, +1 for 'Brawl in Cell Block 99'... some of the most gritty violence I've seen haha

Irreversible is pretty much The Movie for the title. It opens up itself so well while being fast paced, super tragic, there is one key scene for the story that is A Lot for many viewers. It just is... a really good, beautifully done and acted movie. It takes you into this dark emotional journey. They even put like a low frequenzy sound that humans cannot really hear, but it causes anxiety, it's thru the whole movie 😅

I watched this trilogy because you fueled me with the first portion of this video, the intro more or less. I've watched pretty much every NWR's film and tv-show, except the Pusher trilogy and another early film, Bleeder or something like that. Pusher is really something special.

I watched the third Pusher film for the first time a few weeks ago. The way it continually builds up tension without any relief is masterful. This film is designed to make you stress and feel frustrated. I need more like it haha

Joe Wright is another director who uses hands to portray emotion. He does this rather pointedly in both Pride and Prejudice and in Atonement, both period pieces where the feelings need to be communicated strongly - passion, desire, longing - but cannot be demonstrated outright

I’d love a movie review on dream scenario starring nicholas cage. It was a pretty decent film except for the ending, the idea was pretty original and could’ve had a better execution. But i’d love to hear your take on the film.

Building tension requires the right amount of buildup. In action sequences, one must first execute the means to properly act it all out in one frame.

Nicolas Winding Refn (the director) drew heavy inspiration from his own encounters in the criminal underworld while making this film.

forgot how good this film was. Have you seen the film "Ex Drummer"? It's sometimes compared to "Trainspotting" but I'd say it's a way darker version of it and more inspired by Irvine Welsh's books than that film per se

I haven't seen these films, but had lived in Denmark for about 7 years, and I am always a little shocked when I see Danish actors where I'm not really looking for them. These kinds of films, this may be part of the "dogma" films, are always so bleak. The other thing I've noticed in they tend to use extremely grainy film. I think I find it slightly disturbing because Copenhagen is beautiful and inviting. It doesn't feel menacing, or run down. I'm not saying there aren't parts like that, but I see glimpses of places in this video I know pretty well, that I associate with fairly warm feelings, then seeing it in such a harsh light is jarring. If you want a bit of a laugh from the actor playing Milo, look for his beer commercials. "Inge kiinke klanke." Or something like that. :)

Why show when the character can tell? Let me throw out this quote: “Frankly, I hate dialogue. Dialogue is for theatre and television. I don’t remember movies because of a good line, I remember movies because of a strong image. I’m not interested in dialogue at all.”
