This is how you DON'T play Batman: Arkham Origins 

The Electrocutioner is a perfect portrayal of Phil. Talks big and shits on his opponents, then gets his ass owned afterwards.

I LOVE how between this and Injustice, Deathstroke is pretty much Phil's arch-enemy

It seems like Deathstroke is talking more to Phil than Batman.

After watching this again, I'm now convinced that Phil is borderline brain dead. That part where he complains about not knowing that he has to hold down RT for the disruptor is evidence that he is on the verge of forgetting how to breathe.

Funny, whenever I pressed Y during the Deathstroke fight it worked perfectly. In fact, I got the achievement for not taking a single hit. I guess Phil's Y button is bugged.

Did Phil seriously complain about not being able to automatically regenerate health in the middle of a boss fight? *facepalm*

I knew he'd get stuck on the Electrocutioner boss battle. It's clearly out of his difficulty range.

After two Arkham games you'd figure that he'd know how to evade and counter

He did a play through of the other games but as far as I can tell he has no idea what the hell he is doing in this one, especially in combat. I think I button mashed in Asylum for about 30 seconds before I realized how the combo system works.

There needs to be a DSP Difficulty Level on the copies of the games he gets. Enemies just stand still and let you beat on them with no resistance whatsoever. The game just hands you an easy win. No thought needs to be involved to progress. And I bet he'd still get stuck somehow.

Something to note about Deathstrokes battle, when he attacks and you have to counter, you have to only tap the button once. If you spam the counter button, it will cancel it completely and youll take damage. You wouldnt believe how many people i know whove been stuck on that boss for weeks because they couldnt beat him

I didn't even know it was possible to take that long to beat the Electrocutioner.

"Now I'm going to embarrass you." No need, Deathstroke. He does a good job of that on his own.

He doesn't get the concept of stealth in the Arham and Metal Gear Solid games. And that is the point to check your surroundings and most of all, be patient and think your tactics.

Its pretty obvious Phil has no idea what he's talking about. 1: When you did a inverted takedown from gargoyles in Asylum/City guards was always alerted. 2: When you did a grate takedown in Asylum/City guards was always alerted 3: You do lose guards while going from gargoyle to gargoyle but its just Phil's stupidity that stops him from doing it.

DSP's battleplan: punch,punch,punch there is no countering, evade, stun, beatdown, special takedown.... just punch, punch,punch,

It legit pisses me off when he uses the glide kick and gets surprised that dudes are alerted. This is the third Arkham game he played at this time and the mechanics are identical in every one of them. Glide kicks and gargoyle takedowns are not silent and they alert dudes, why the hell does he not comprehend this the first time it happens?

gotta say his memory of the past arkham games seems poor. I can clearly remember having to run for it when I did a vent takedown unless my target was the last goon in the room and I only used glide kicks if they were near a drop to make them go night night in one swoop.

Jesus Christ, every single boss. "I don't know the pattern yet!" PRESS COUNTER WHEN THEIR HEADS FLASH LIKE CRAZY. Pattern solved.

- Deathstroke's one is my favourite boss-fight in all the Arkham games. - It's intense, quick and makes you use all the mechanics you know. - It's not too hard, you an beat it at the first try and feel awesome. - (Phis is a sub-species of chimpanzee so he doesn't get it).

I love how there are button prompts basically telling him what to do in the Deathstroke fight and he's like "It's trial and error"

This guy doesn't use Detective mode, can't counter properly, dies to Deathstroke! and also never uses silent takedowns. Yup, can't wait for his Arkham Knight playthrough.

So pressing Y when a prompt tells you to is an example of trial and error playthrough, and requires memorizing a pattern? I guess I shouldn't be shocked at this point, considering this is the same guy who called lining up three squares in blade mode a "puzzle slash."

The saddest part is this game is MUCH easier then AA and AC. Phil can't handle pressing buttons in rythem. The highest combo I saw was 10... I got a 75 hit combo in the first hour. It's an easy game.

9:52 First time I played this game, I immediately knew what to do. I just ran up to Electrocutioner and pressed the attack button. I was surprised that he went down with one blow, but at least I didn't overthink the encounter. DSP logic: overthink the situation and lay down traps your opponent won't fall for. My logic: don't dink around, just get in there and kick his ass!

One time the emptiness of his brain actually did a good thing, is when he allowed Joker to finish his monologue at the finale - 90% of people playing it just press the counter once the prompt appears on screen

Phil having problems with Deathstroke, I can understand. It took me multiple tries to get the counters timed right...and I still took damage. However, I never had a problem with Copperhead. In fact I thought she was the easiest boss in the game, which is funny because I kept failing with the blade counters.

My dad was playing this and he was having trouble with Deathstroke. (My dad isn't a gamer and hasn't really played a game since the n64 era) So, he asked me to try and beat him because he was having trouble on the last phase with the sword. On my first try I beat Deathstroke with ease and only got hit twice. Phil plays games all day and sucks at it. Can't believe he had this much trouble with Deathstroke when the game tells you what to do in conflicts.

He actually ruin's such an amazing boss fight (Deathstroke) No doubt one of my favourite boss battles in gaming -.-! It's actually painful to watch, he spams the attack button and complains why he can't counter, that's the point of the Deathstroke battle, its all about timing, and watching him and analysing and looking for opening's that's not spamming the attack button and the counter button, and after he reads the hint, starts spamming the batclaw quickfire button! -.- and as for using explosive gel at the beginning of the battle don't get me started on that! -.-! Thats one thing that pisses me off about DSP he's probably the reason games are getting easier and all the old games are adding all these new features to make it easier, take MGSV with the marking system and the reflex mode, Yeah I know they can be turned off but thats not the point, all the games are adding these new features that make it easier, for idiots like DSP and other children that have no patience & have the attention span of a fish

I doubt Phil will ever read this, but here goes. Phil, the reason you keep getting your ass kicked when you try to do the ground takedown is because it has a very long startup animation of roughly 1 second (counting the part where Batman moves towards the enemy) and cannot be canceled out of once it is started until the latter stages of the cooldown phase. This is also the reason enemies keep getting up, as they are not knocked out until the active phase of the animation, which is during the part that, again, cannot be cancelled and takes roughly 1 second to perform. You're throwing this move out in the middle of a fight against a large group. 1 second of vulnerability is the perfect time to punish your opponent. That is what the AI is doing: Punishing you for being stupid. So stop being stupid. You have a fighting game background. You should know this. And I hope this is because the This Is How You Don't Play videos edit stuff for time, but this is the first video from the three Arkham games where I've seen you use the Instant Takedown. If this is accurate, and again, I hope it is not, that means it took you until the third game of the series to finally use the single most useful melee attack in the entire series. Finally, you are once again mashing the attack button like it's the only move you have. Stop it. In action games and fighting games, mashers get their asses kicked. You're getting your ass kicked. It's easy to see why.

I honestly have to say atleast one thing because of the fact that everyone else pretty much said whatever was shitty about this playthrough we had to see... What the fuck does he have against Troy Baker? There's a difference between not liking someone and this display of contempt he shows against someone as talented as Troy. The fact he can even do a damn good impression of Mark Hamill's Joker(along with the person who does the same for Batman) gets massive props for me, and considering that Joker doing this rhyme is not JUST for this game or just for Troy speaks more for DSP's issues with him. It guess it can be stacked up with the very same reason DSP hates pretty much anything else resembling hard work: In the end, Troy Baker will be seen as a damn good VA capable of multiple talens while DSP will barely be remembered in 5 years time...

You don't have to be as smart as Batman to tell, that this guy sucks at everything.

The level of failure by Phil while playing this is fucking impressive, Having played both previous games and there being essentially no difference here except for setting and one or 2 minor changes how he can fail so much is actually amazing, And then to blame the game, Just wow. How does no one call him out on this stuff?

I usually don't like to resort to that kind of argument, but there's always an exception.... DSP, if everything is the programmer's fault, why don't you make your own ideal game? Or at least a bucket list of what is ideal?

Ive never seen such a coward. Dsp should run through the finish line, yet instead of taking the deaths like a man he restarts missions after taking 1 sniper bullet. Any joe schmoe would know to get cover from the sniper, then find a way to kill him first. After that it would be easy but he seems... Not too bright.

Batman is anything but enigmatic. In the imaginary DC universe sure, but not to the reader like he is interpreting it. He is not mysterious to the reader, why he is what he is isn't difficult to understand at all. To be fair, I am only playing Batman Arkham Knight currently on EASY difficulty, but that is primarily because I really only want to experience the story at this point, I already played through half the game last year on normal and said screw it this time (not that normal is hard, but still, I just wanted to breeze through and experience the story). Oh how I wish they would make a Joker focused game. You could make it work by having Batman held hostage and going to be killed soon. Joker, having the relationship he does with Batman, feels slighted at this and of course feels HE should be the one to kill the Bat, so he has to rescue him so they can start their game anew. You can get more brutal too, not too brutal but with the Joker you have to step the crazy up.

I just started up a new playthrough of Arkham Origins (planning another chronological series run) and just beat Deathstroke, which of course brought me back to this video, haha. I think it's hilarious how the one Arkham boss battle Phil had the most trouble with was the one that REALLY punishes you for button mashing (well, except the bits where you're supposed to mash the button to counter his blows and then give him a flurry of punches). If you fight Slade the way you're supposed to, he's actually fairly easy, but if you just mindlessly mash buttons, he'll eat you for lunch. And we all know what Phil's favorite (read: only) tactic is when it comes to hand to hand combat, or hell fighting games in general... not to mention he relies way too much on the damn Batclaw trick and doesn't use his combo takedowns! It's so frustrating, his combo multiplier is glowing yellow and practically screaming "Hey, I'm ready! Use me!" and Phil doesn't bother and misses an instant easy damaging attack. And how sad that Phil would call this game a "cheap cash in piece of shit" later. Granted he's not alone in that opinion (though the game's gained more appreciation in recent years, and I personally LOVE it), but we just know Phil's reason for this is that he's salty that "Captain Cocksucker/Dickstroke/The Human Queef" trolled him...
