Shock of all shocks, Phill badly glounders at 2D Sonic, and goes on a cringe Kotaku-esque tirade where he blames the game for his skill issues! And once again; Phil has no right to get on his high horse about this game being tooo overpirced when he scams his audience on a regular basis!(Well if its any solice; we don't have to deal with him floundering through Trip's story any time soon. Although, I have a nagging feeling that Phil would probably start ebegging for an Apple Arcade subscription for Sonic Dream Team.)

Just watched the full thing. Wow. He refuses to play Trip's Story. That *counts!* That counts as a certified *RAGE QUIT!*

I actually enjoyed playing this and felt that whenever I died it was my fault for not processing the jumps or the stages. That final battle against Eggman was tough but Tails came through. Every character has their own strengths and weaknesses. Plus Trip is pretty cool to use, but her side story is essentially a hard story mode plus because they added more spikes everywhere so you have to strategize[aka do the opposite of what Phil or Arin do]. I also like the battle games with the robots you can customize with the medal you earn. Better than microtransactions you see in other games.

Phil's playthrough was abysmal. Falling into pits, waking into crushing hazards and bashing the game makes his playthrough a dumpster on fire. Trip playthrough would have been nice to see but the piggy quitted the game. One of the most disappointing playthroughs from Phil that I watched with great displeasure.

There may be infinite lives, but that doesn't mean Mitch won't be there to count your deaths, DSP.

Update: I *played* Trip's Story. It was very poorly made, and the final boss of that story made me rage to the point where I got bored and just wasn't enjoying it, anymore. Regardless, I beat him. And then proceeded to beat the Last Story. So, unlike DarkSydePig, here, I can safely say... that I am a Sonic Superstar!

"The people who made this don't even understand Sonic or what's good about it." How ironic for DSP to say that, since 2 of the biggest names attached to this game are Naoto Ohshima and Takashii Iizuka. Ohshima is the original character designer of Sonic himself and designed Trip The Sungazer for this game. To be a bit fair, this is the first Sonic game Ohshima directly contributed to since the original _Sonic Adventure._ However, he has been keeping up with how the series has evolved by playing some of the newer games like _Unleashed,_ _Colors,_ _Generations,_ and _Frontiers._ He's gone on record saying he enjoyed those games. Iizuka, on the other hand, has been working on the Sonic series since _Sonic 3 and Knuckles,_ being a level desinger for it. Iizuka was also the director and a lead level designer for the _Adventure_ games, _Sonic Heroes_ and _Shadow The Hedgehog._ Iizuka might not be a level designer for the newer games anymore, but he's been a producer for them since at least _Sonic Colors,_ up to the present day. He also wrote the story for this game, which is a pretty rare credit. I highly doubt that DSP would understand how to do a Sonic game better than them, since there's no proof that he has experience to actually do it. Most likely, DSP is only saying that because he's having a hard time with a boss fight and he's upset about the game not holding his hand.

He hates this game cause he didn’t get support and he can’t milk it the way he likes to with other games. As usual support = how good the game is despite the games actual quality, and by the way, the game looks fine.

Fake Sonic fan Burnell wanting checkpoints during bosses reminds me of how he save scums in those classic game collections with save states so every time he hits the boss, he creates another save state. If we lived in Phil's perfect world, we would literally have checkpoints every 10 seconds; for EVEYTHING.

42:57 The 1st time I ever played the game that the stage was referencing was on the Wii. I was pleasantly surprised, especially when they recreated the 1st 2 bosses back to back. To think that if I hadn't bought the game from Wii Shop Channel, the reference probably would've flown over my head.

Be prepared for a long comment here, folks. I have a lot to say about Mr. DarkSydePhil. I will admit that I wasn't expecting this game to be a pretty decent challenge at times. However, despite me being easily irritable, I usually aim it towards myself because when I fail in a game, it's usually my own fault. I'm not the best at the games I play, partly due to the fact that I have a disability that makes my reflexes inconsistent at times. And that's where most of my frustration comes from when I fail. However, that doesn't mean the games I play are badly made just because they're more challenging. I still enjoy a lot of the games that I play, even if I'm not great at them or have no idea what to do in them. For example, I like the Crash Bandicoot series, even though I'm pretty terrible at playing the games. I still believe that they're fun, well crafted games. Phil, on the other hand, really doesn't seem like he honestly enjoys these games. He doesn't sound the least bit excited about playing them, and every time he tries to sound interested, he sounds hokey. Every. Single. Time. As he fails, he _always_ blames the developers. It's _never_ his fault, apparently. Phil seems to only get excited when his viewers give him money. If they don't, then it's gotta be something wrong with the game that he picked. This game is obviously not popular enough. Well, if Phil actually had an entertaining personality to make up for the fact that he's not great at playing games, maybe he would have more people donating. But in reality, this man is just a black hole of charisma. One of the worst things you can do as an entertainer is be, well, not entertaining. Simply put, Phil is just boring to watch without someone else making commentary over him.

Am I the only one who think Sega and Naoto Oshima could've created better super forms for Tails Amy and Especially Knuckles? But other than that, good premiere
