Wow, you are currently thorough. Thank you. I ordered the Dark Horse but not the handling package and fiber rims. $66,025. Never owned a pony but in my mid sixties and ready to ride. Great video.
Can't go wrong w/these new Mustangs! The '22 Mach 1 would be a great car & future collectible if your lucky enough to find a leftover @local dealer. Enjoy!
It wouldn’t be so confusing if Ford would fix the dang builder and add more pictures so we can see what we are changing. I already know what I’m wanting but it’d be nice to see it too
I could not agree more. The Ford builder is a joke. you select packages and sometimes they appear and other times not so much. The wheel examples are not broken down and the pictures are terrible. For a car costing 50-65 thousand you need to show all the available options so that the customer knows what he wants and what it will look like on his car. I have ordered a GT Premium loaded including the mini spare wheel and jack. With the two tone interior with red accents. I have received my VIN and Ford states it will be built on July 3rd, 2023. let the good times roll.
No worries fellas. I'm sure they are updating it as we speak. So much is new! What's most important is all new amazing Gen7 '24 Mustang 2.3L H.O. Ecoboost & GT 5.0L Coyote (both engines updated for serious tuning was told by Ford engineer ..not a dealership). Order @your local Ford store. I did. They went through everything perfectly. '24 Mustang GT 5.0L black on black w/ track package & 6spd manual on the way 👍🏻 -NY
@Edward Berwind Your good to go then! Congrats. 👍🏻💯 You will love the car. Be sure get a good full synthetic engine oil in her @1000mis after break-in complete. Can't wait to get my new '24 GT 5.0L w/track package & 6spd manual. See my comment.
@@Davido50 I have owned a 2015 GT,2018 GT, and my current 2020GT. I always dump the oil at 1000 miles. and its full synthetic from then on. Oil changes are at 4000 miles.
Ordered my GT Premium last Friday in Vapor Blue with the GTPP, Performance exhausts, Nite pony package in a 10 Speed auto. Getting it at MSRP as well at my dealership. Can’t wait!!🙏
My dealership Gerald Jones Ford here in Augusta is marking up 10 K over MSRP after I specked it out it was 69 then you add the 10 K so that’s 80 that’s without the financing charges and everything else so I just couldn’t justify the price
I'm trying to decide if the 401A package on the GT premium is worth the extra $2900. Dealer says the car would have better resale value, but I don"t know if I need all that extra tech stuff.
Do the hood struts have a pressure release for fires. They are well known for launching and one-time for sure, impaled into a firefighter's leg. Maybe you can pass this info up to engineers if they didn't improve on this.
I would love it if my '90s F150 had auto start stop, but it really doesn't take all that long before habit makes it seem automatic. I mean when you no longer even have to think about shutting the engine off at a stop, it's just like automatic, right? First time I gave my mother a ride in it she asked "why'd you do that?!" So I quite naturally responded with "WHAT!?" and a grin. Not looking at my grin she asked why I shut my engine off. I told her I do that to my fuel cost in half. I mean, let's face it, in the city you drive 30 seconds you stop 30 seconds and that's the way it goes. Now ( when you let your engine idle ) at a stop, your engine idles at 800 RPM. Conversely, when you are driving your engine is reving at 900 to 1000 RPM. Not much difference. So sitting at a stop is almost like driving. Since the engine could be stopped while the vehicle is at a stop you can nearly double your mileage. To me, going from 11 MPG in an early '90s F150 to 21 MPG is just incredible, and we'll worth the effort. One of these days I'll make it truly automatic, but I'm not interested in modding it right now. Thanks for the vid.
I tried to buy a new '22 mustang in January and the dealers were either at or above sticker. The problem is not all the various Mustang trim levels, the problem is the Ford dealers.
@@robertharper9094 That is different Ron. A Dark Horse is a very special Mustang. They wanted sticker or over sticker for a lousy ecoboost for my wife.
A ton of electronic items that will work intermittently....all of which the sevice pretenders at the dealership will claim they couldn't duplicate the issue. I think i will keep my 2010 mustang.
Dark horse premium at 62k? I just sat inside one at NY auto show - feels $20k car cheap inside: lots of low grade Ford materials. Hyundai Elantra is nicer inside! Corvettes start at $66k and are much faster, beautiful interior and supercar exterior. Mustang's rear seats are a joke as well.
What’s going to happen to all the major companies that puts these things out there and red blooded Americans leaves them on the lots to rust they are not thinking about this
Personally I never understood the point of heated seats in a car that should never see winter roads, basically every sports car has them at this point, talk about a pointless way to farm more money out of the consumer 👎
Life long mustang guy here. And this car screams Camaro , and the all digital dash with those computer screens is a big no !!! Will not buy a mustang built after 23.
We promise! All customer orders are sold with NO dealer markups. But keep in mind that doesn’t apply to Dark Horse. We are completely sold out of the Dark Horse.
Mirror mounted USB: for dash cam power. Mount camera to windshield behind/near mirror and use very short cable ...instead of running long cable around molding to power port near dash or center console (I'm betting)
I ordered a Dark Horse standard from my local dealer with Recaro seats 6-speed manual with blue calipers. The same dealer we got our bronco badlands lux package from with no markup. But this time they told me there is a 5k markup on my Dark Horse order. Can I possibly switch my order to your dealership?
Can't wait to order a '24 Mustang GT w/track package. Black on black! 6spd manual for sure. Will not be a daily driver..wknd fun car. Will sit in my garage next to my beloved 04 Stang Cobra terminator (4900 orig mis). I've owned since new in '04. Got it as fun toy & future collectible just as this new Dark Horse version will def be! 💯 -NY
That is a LOT of gadget that will glitch overtime. Damn I hate that new gadget race ... making all recent cars so unreliable. All those "automatic driving" thing that apply break for you are HYPER ... HYPER ... dangerous. I almost got killed in a rent few years back while the car simply decided, out of the blue, to break while I was passing a van on a freeway, killing the momentum I was having to finish the pass. Almost had a head on collision with the oncoming vehicle. If I would have had a dash cam. I would have sued BIG TIME.
2018 GT PREMIUM Performance Pack, 6 speed, Magna-Ride, Active Exhaust: I’m on the fence re S650 - Need some time to decide if or when I trade “up”. Definitely a big NO on new dash board - digital screen. Wish Ford had decided on the Tremac for all manual setups. Time will tell - For now - Still get a big smile every time I start up my Mustang. Happy Motoring 🤠
Yeah, as soon as Ford updates the online builder, I'll consider ordering one. Limitations on the configurator get on my nerves though. I shouldn't have to get the high-performance package just to get MagneRide. Also, If I'm already paying for the high-performance package, why am I being charged another $495 to choose either blue or red Brembo calipers. That's stupid. The red interior looks good.
I'm 35 and getting the dark horse fully optioned paid in full. Stored in my garage while I'm away for work and being fully utilized when I'm back home.
I wanted to order a Dark Horse, that was until I found out the local dealership decided to tack on a $25k "market adjustment". Guess I won't be buying a Dark Horse if I need to gift $25k to the dealership for it!
I think Ford ether lied or your wrong about the Ricaros . When the big revile was done by Ford a few months back . He stayed you could now get them heated and cooled . Because i remember thinking it's about time because Camaro has them . They also said you could get something like four or five different color brake caliper colors . But Italian stallion ordered his dark horse and sayed they only offered two options. If anyone doesn't believe me just go find that video . I'm definitely going to rewatch it now.
I’m currently signing papers to order the 2024 Ecoboost with the high performance package. I got a $2k dealer fee. As an 18yr old construction worker, it is a hefty blow, but i’m not sure if i follow through, or attempt to order it from your dealer. I’m in Florida and there’s like 4 Town and Country Fords across the country. which one is yours?
Baller on a budget so I kept things simple with a black base ecoboost and nite pony package but will get the car camo wrapped so it stands out on the streets. Also this is a sports car. If I wanted a luxurious car I would skip the premium and packages and get a Lincoln.
I have a 2022 Lincoln Nautilus Black Label which I'm paying off in 2 years. So I'm not ordering until 2026. Ford will have any issues worked out by then.
I went with EB premium in dark matter grey with 200A equipment group. Package 201A is a staggering $3K and frankly, not worth the money. I added the wheel and stripe package . I am not a stripe guy but those 19" wheels are lit and the dark matter grey makes the stripes much more subtle. I love the quad tips so I had to have the Active Valve exhaust. I went with the Emberglo interior (NC). Sticker was barely over $40K. IMO, that is the way to do it.
To anyone who hasn't done your own homework before you watched this video.... Do your own research. This guy plays up the dark horse. But almost everything he says is available on the horse is also available on the gt. Almost. This guy is a typical salesman.
Dark Horse needs more interior options. I ordered mines the first day in race red but the interior just comes in blue cloth like really, I can't get red inserts or red stitching smh. Guess I have to go to the interior shop. Overall happy with the purchase.
Sounds like there's a whole lot of options.... that I could care less if I got. What I want is a powerful engine, a good manual transmission, and a decent set of wheels.. All the rest is crap... Oh, leather seats... The 5.0 is a good engine but, what happened to the 5.5 EcoBoost? Or, the 7.3 Godzilla engine?
Manual, Grabber Blue, GT, Performance Package, Night Pony Package, 2nd 19in wheel option, red seat belt. Perferct comes in just over 50k and has the nicer infotainment option
I have purchased many mustangs and still have 2 2015 Roush RS3 and a 2019 mustang GT. But call the new 2024 a new platform is far from the truth. S650. All I see is a S550 with facelift that looks much like a Camaro or a GMC truck in the front. I’ll keep my current mustangs.
I have a GT here in the uk and I still think it's crazy that a car with such a long bonnet does mot have a front parking senser 99% of modern cars have one so here in the uk where the parking spaces are a lot smaller than in the USA I really cannot believe this new mustang still does not have one makes no sense its the only negative about this car
I wanted a Dark Horse convertible for my 4th Mustang, but alas, have to settle for a GT Premium because I am NOT giving up my convertible top lol. Have my order in for my GT Premium in vapor blue with the GT Performance package, and nite pony!! I am so excited and my dogs will be pleased that I still have the little "doggy windows" XD
"If you're going to be racing the vehicle." You mean racing the car? That Darkhorse has a wing, not a spoiler. And only people who don't know how to drive a stick need the auto rev-matching.
