Muzan is already immortal in the sense that age won’t kill him but the sun still can harm and kill him. So once he has conquered the sun he’ll be truly immortal since he then can’t be killed at all
technically, still not true. he has multiple hearts that move around in his body. If a technique was ever figured out to hit them all he'd still be killable.
@gibio396 it's absolutely still a suprise for the hashira, only 2 of them experienced the infinity castle and they were literally in it for a few seconds max before they were just kicked back out. They didn't even get a chance to fully understand what happened
BTW, you should've seen the fan translation of the manga where Kagaya called Muzan a "little demon bitch". Its totally inaccurate and a gag translation but it's so satisfying.
A rewatch of the series is actually really smart because there's a ton of hints, details, and foreshadowing throughout the seasons to stuff that has been paid off to stuff that has yet to be revealed.

Muzans “immortality” is flawed, yes he can live forever but he has to scurry around in the darkness & can’t enjoy the “life” he has during the day. That’s the best way I can explain it without spoiling his backstory

It feels like Tanjiro is the biggest threat even though there's so many Hashiras? Of course, it's been shown in previous seasons including the first season when Muzan first met Tanjiro, it was due to Tanjiro's earrings. It belonged to the first swordsman that gave HEHE PTSD wwww
8:50 that's actually a japanese new year's children song, "kazoe uta (which means countdown song) - hitotsu toya" and interestingly, in the original lyrics there are 12 verses, the last of which quotes the "fire god's dance" for the gods - which in demon slayer we can adress to hinokami kagura somehow - also its a nice touch to see this song here because the arc after the infinity castle will be called "countown to sunrise"
One more thing about the Ubuyashiki family curse, given how Buddhism and the afterlife are recurring themes in the series, it's implied that the curse came from the divine powers themselves, but that's mostly speculation. If true than imagine being such a POS that the gods decide to cancel your bloodline

1. Muzan is literally destroying him in a 1v1. And 2. I get gyomi is "the strongest" but y'all be glazing this character to much, if any one of the hashira had died their THEY ALL including gyomi would have been cooked.

@@pasindudinusha6507 I think people get confused because Gyomei is called the strongest hashira right so people will land a conclusion that Gyomei is strong enough to take on Muzan. Actually he is below the level of Kokushibo, Doma and Akaza but he is physically strong enough to fight Kokushibo and even Muzan. He can definitely put up a good fight against all upper moons though but against Kokushibo he cannot fight for a long time without any help because he cannot keep up with Kokushibo after a while. He can take on Akaza too but cannot kill him without the help because Akaza improves during the fight. If he didn't get his memories back he would keep on fighting and there would be no end. And against Doma I really don't know what would happen. Because he is a person who never takes things seriously but against Gyomei there would be no other option. So Doma taking an opponent seriously from the beginning would be a sight to witness.

You're the only one to catch that tanjiro and nezuko are the dragon and tiger respectively. Tanjiro has shown to have dragons around him in his moveset in both water and fire while nezuko has tiger claws and when she gets serious her vines can be a pattern upon her body like tiger stripes. And also notice how ubayashiki says they haven't averted their gaze, all the hashira have at some point before turning around meanwhile tanjiro and nezuko were staring in that direction the entire time it's so eerie

Ubuyashiki and his family really doesn't display any fear whatsoever through out the entire plan. They really have the big intention to end this once for all. Ah... So have such wife and kids. His childrens also doesn't seems to be scared at all. They all are determined to defeat Muzan, and that brings chills to me.
12:27 the tiger and the dragon kagaya mentioned was a symbol in japanese buddhism and taoist philosophy (cmiiw) of what the whole universe are made of: the yin and yang symbol, and often depicted what deity is. so essentially, by saying "you've stepped on the tiger's tail and invite the dragon's wrath" kagaya meant that muzan is doomed for the whole universe WILL be against his whole being.

For a little clarity on some things I hadn't seen it in the comments yet: The Ubuyashiki Clan: The people who were advised by the priest were the current Master's distant relatives 1000+ years ago. They married and had children with the daughters of priests in an attempt to alleviate the divine punishment (curse) afflicted on them for Muzan's sins. which allowed their children to live into their teens and then 20s over time. This worked (probably because of DNA reasons more than spiritual), but it only allowed their people to live up to 30 years old max. Ubuyashiki here is 23 at his death for instance. So those children are all indeed his, including the 3 others we've seen that were not at the mansion when this happened. (The two girls here refused to leave). Tiger and Dragon The Tiger and the Dragon, they are Japanese symbols of Yin and Yang, balancing forces of the world and spirit. Yang is considered "male", and Yin is considered "Female", and so there is some implication here that Tanjiro and Nezuko are representative of Yin and Yang in a way, but it's more broad than just that, but also the situation of Muzan's existence in general has created the current Hashira. No more demons: Ubuyashiki saying that killing Muzan would kill all remaining demons was about the fact that if he dies, Muzan's will dies with him because all those like him will perish too, unlike with humans who can pass on their will to others in death.
It's so funny to me as soon as the building starts to blow up and everyone thinks it's muzan, they all call him disgusting but as soon as they find out the master did it, they are like "it's better for them to die this way"

Muzan is already eternal.. The only thing that can kill him now is the sun. That's why he searched for the blue spider Lilie. He wants to become human again but stay in his demon form.. So basically an normal immortal person.
