16:31 I’m living for his reactions to Stray Kids, especially the visuals because the music videos have an ongoing story line and I love that he noticed thing like the glitch and elevator because they’re so important to the story
The Band Stray Kids was created on a Reality Show with the same name. They had to complete missions and members could be elemenated. One mission was creating an own song in only one week. So this is how Hellevator was created. The choreographie was also invented by themselves.
Actually in the chorus they're not all singing it. It's specific people in the group who are singing the "I'm on a Hellevator" parts. The person who made the lyric video probably just didn't know at the time they made it and it was probably too late to change it. They have a reality show called Stray Kids as well which is basically them training and working super hard in order to debut. The leader of the group (Chan) chose all of the members by himself and his manager (JYP) basically told him that he did a good job choosing the guys, but he still wants to put them through some tests not exactly guaranteeing they would all debut under Stray Kids. There were other guys before that where friends of Chan and they were in this group that he decided to make, but for so many years (6 years to be exact) he had to watch all of his friends either leave his group and give up or some of them moved up and debuted with other groups. Until he found the perfect 8 friends that in the end finally debuted all together with him. It all started with Chan, Jisung (Han), and Changbin. They have a sub-unit called 3racha and they are know as the music producers of the group. They write their own lyrics for their songs and even produce the sick beats that you hear. Then little by little they started finding their friends to later become Stray Kids as a whole. Till this day 3racha still mostly are the ones who are writing the lyrics and producing the songs and they get some help here and there but basically Stray Kids are a self producing group. They basically like to do everything by themselves 😅 you even have Minho(Lee Know), who is their Main Dancer in the group, who choreographs almost all of their choreographies. This explanation that I gave is not so well and there are probably people who could explain it better. I could have explained it better but it's pretty late right now and I'm dying to sleep. 😅 What I was originally saying though is that some of the people in the group sing the chorus parts individually but get this it's not just the vocalists. I talked about 3racha but I forgot to mention that they are basically an all rap sub-unit but they can all actually sing and all of them sing very well. I forgot the order that it goes in but you have maybe Jisung(even though he's one of the main rappers of the group) singing the first "I'm on a hellevator" then it maybe goes to Woojin who is a vocalist then Chan(as being part of the group because they have so many rappers in the group, and even though he is rapping in 3racha he decided to be a lead vocalist in Stray Kids.) then maybe Jisung(Han) again or Jeongin(I.N)and I know for sure that the last "I'm on a Hellevator" of every chorus is sung by Changbin(also main rapper of the group)...yes Changbin the rapper whom you said was rapping so fast in My Pace(or was it in this video??). Anyways I apologize once again for this very terrible explanation. 😅😓😢 I hope you can at least somewhat understand it..😣
This song reminds me of being 18, driving to the beach with my then boyfriend, parking up near Weston-super-Mare and just bumping to every kind of music. The beat in this reminds me very much of a Savage Garden song I can't remember the name of. Yes I cried. It's just proof that music can affect you in ways you never expected
if you listen to stray kids' discography in order, the story behind their MVs seem to connect and there are A LOT of theories about them and their true meaning, however, we haven't really figured out a correct one so we can't exactly tell you what's going on sjdfmsfjlj most of us are as clueless as you are. but they definitely DO have their own storyline, so it's worth watching their mvs by their release order ! as Hellevator was their pre-debut mv, i recommend watching *District 9* , title track of their debut album "I am : NOT" next
People usually seem to think the message is about riding the elevator out of hell but really the elevator is hell. They’re riding on their hopes and dreams and their hard work to get to their penthouse or to success.
They actually started as 9 members. One left (Kim Woojin) in October 2019. Luckily he's doing well, and working on his solo career! BTW, I'm glad that you noticed Minho 7:22. Most people sadly don't pay attention to his parts, so it's nice to see you rewinding his part :)! -Also, it was really fun to see your interpretation of Hellevator, especially the last panel! I really like how much you pay attention to details-it makes your reactions so enjoyable to watch!
They actually were nine and Woojin left, so they're eight now, they were never ten, but Woojin recently had a fan meeting and is maybe preparing for solo activities. And FYI, their fandom name is STAY. Because, if you take the r out of stray kids, it is Stay kids, the r is for reason, so STAYs are the reason for stray kids, which explains the line 'You make stray kids stay'!.
actually there were 9 not 10 members but one of them (Woojin) left the group in october 2019, so there's now 8 of them you can watch an introduction to stray kids 2020 by hyunjin nation, it's really helpful and you can learn more about them
Ahh yess!! This is my fav stray kids song, thanks for the reaction!! YOU should react to 3racha (stray kids 3 member kinda group) PLACEBO!! I REALLY LOVE THAT SONG!
MrSammyCam btw that is their pre-debut song, Uhmm they are the ones who made the whole song. Lyrics plus song production plus ... everything ;-; plus choreo :>>
Hey! I recommend Oneus' songs. They killing it! You'll love sooooooo much "Lit". Then they debut song "Valkyrie", "Twilight" and "A Song Written Easily". All are amazing, such like the visuals!!! They produced, wrote the lyrics, and choreographed each song!!!!
They were 9 now they are 8 woojin left the company. Plus this song is a predebut song it had 20 mil views. Know this. THIS WAS A PREDEBUT SONG XD Ooh yea they make their own songs 3racha is beast
I kinda want to see you reach to 3RACHA its a subgroup who Is part of stray kids composed of Chang bin, Han/jisung, and bangchan, who was a small group before stray kids,
I wanna say the sky City appears in side effects, hellevator and slump form what I have noticed so far I need to watch a few more MV's again to see if they connect more in that universe. EDIT: I WAS RIGHT GO WATCH THE PREQUEL FOR STAY KIDS OUT NOW THE CITY HAS A BIG PART OF THE SKZ UNIVERSE
The "H" when the elevator was going up could present Heaven instead of Hell, Stray kids made this track in pre-debut that's why it represents the struggles they went through and them going out from the training days with the hope of finally debuting, the Helevator hence represent them going up from hell (training) to heaven (debut) My interpretation for the last imagery in the MV would be they were looking up because finally they reached heaven (debut) but now the real world is facing them (up on the top) represented by the city, that's why it's (red) dark like hell again, the debut just means the beginning of another reality with many struggles as well so there aren't really escaping Hell they are going up to another hell by chasing their dreams. the lyrics, music and visuals are really dark and hopeful at the same time it's amazing that literally it's up to you to interpret the elevator as going up to heaven or hell !!!
@@ninnina8056 that's possible too, I just said heaven because its opposite of hell and Changbin himself suggested to add an "H" to "elevator" (original title of the song) to represent they are going up from hell, It's crazy that many interpretations are possible just because Changbin decided to add an "H", the beauty behind it is that anyone can interpret it as they want
*Suggestion:* React to: Double knot Side effects Get cool Awkward silence Victory song Voices N/S Question Boxer (special video) Also a fun fact: They wrote this song and the beat themselves (mostly Bang Chan) under a survival show
Ik u guys who reads this comment maybe doesn't rly care. But one of reasons why I like skz is they wrote and make their own song. And also they make their own group and not JYP made them. and also I'm ur 69th like :>
@@05.brigittajocelinel.11 Yessss I really like the fact they write their own songs based on their own experiences, in order to help those who are going through similar experiences. They really help a lot :)
I'm ssooooo happpy Hellevator was released before their debut! It's impressing they did it themselves in a few days!! They also made the choreography and the music is in a female vocal range making it really hard especially for the High notes
The "Hellevator" represents an elevator out of hell not into hell 👍🏻 Also I'm glad you appreciate their lyrics! A lot of reactors tend to brush them off and focus on the song (u know cuz they can be distracting cuz they're so good lol) but when you pair their lyrics and the song together it makes the song 10 times better! Also Stray Kids create music to connect with their audience so I'm sure they appreciate u paying attention to their lyrics! :)
Me: *Listens to Hellevator* Sammy: *Just uploads a reaction to Hellevator* Me: (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻ You know with that "It's crazy there's *9* of them!" I think you're aware of that not being a lot. Perfect example: NCT dUdE ThEy'rE *22* pEepZ!! Or something like that at least
아미'sLifeAsBeing Thiqué For now NCT are 21 members, but If u search it up it Says they’re 26 which means We are probably getting 5 more members There. Hope it helped :)
@@bestboyholland3217 yes it was haha This song has been produced by BangChan and the lyrics have been writing by Han and Changbin in the reality show "Straykids" before their debut
@@ayushibakhla867 omg welcome! 🥰 This song was made for their survival show and was produced by Bangchan and the lyrics were written by Changbin and Han :) Hope you enjoy getting to know more about straykids and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask ❤️
Yesss Stray Kids lyrics are really meaningful and relatable. That's one reason I love them so much, along with BTS💜these two groups have really deep meaning behind their songs like, HOW
Totally what I'm thinking man, this lyric part doesn't divide each member's hellevator part properly like each one sung their part "I'm on a hellevator" alone not together
they started with 9 members but recently one of them, Woojin, left ... I miss his honey voice .. but the others are doing a great job doing his parts :)
@@mynameisgooji he s got a instagram account if you re interested, he posts covers too He's also going solo, there's a video on Star K, if you'd like to see it and follow him :)
I support woojin solo career but its ot8 now , after how hyunjin cried at the concert and how broken chan was its ot8, but I'll support woojin solo too
Would love to see you reacting to Nct 127, songs you should react to are "Cherry bomb", "Superhuman", "Kick it", "Simon says" and "Regular English ver." :)
Or NCT Black On Black, then I bet he’d love how 18 members can do it too, also, it really is hard to be completly in synch when you are 18 people, but NCT does it;)
If he would know everything that's behind this song. Like it's their first song and they went trough so much back then 2 of them even got eliminated and they still didn't give up. And that this song is made with a female key and the fact that they hit every high note perfectly I'm truly in love with this song. Even Minho, he rapped in this song for the FIRST time ever and he did it so good! Not just this song but in every song of them is a really deep story behind and it just makes everything more special. Even now they are still going through so much but they never stop motivating and supporting us. I'm proud of you Stray Kids. I'll always support you. You make us stay!❤️ And stays thank you for everything you guys are truly the best fandom I've ever met! 🥺❤️
Someone recommended me to listen to hellavator back in 2017 and i didnt know who the hell these guys were and this was the only song out. I never thought i would stan groups like these back then cause i wasnt the type to obssess over them like how i am now. But yeah this song was sooo beautiful and i couldnt help but get to know about them and show support. I'm an ARMY +ATINY + STAY. Love them all and their songs.
if you find yourself liking stray kids you should watch "an introduction to: stray kids (2020 edition) " by Hyunjin Nation it's very well made and pretty updated
Warning: Long Comment Considering Miroh is next, it's interesting you noticed how there's a button for "hell" in the elevator and they reach the "H" floor. "Miroh" is a play on words for "maze"' in Korean with an added 'h' on the end which symbolizes that they either reach heaven or hell at the end of this journey. Finally someone appreciates Minho's rap! He actually started out as a vocalists but on their survival show he was criticized for his singing and recommended to take on a rap part. But now, it's clear that pretty much everyone in Stray Kids can both sing and rap very well (seriously!). In Hellevator, Jisung who does the second part of the second verse is also the member who hits the high note before the second chorus. Hellevator in particular is a meaningful song (as with all Stray Kids songs) in that it was their first release as a group of nine and they performed it as their first mission on their survival show. Another fun fact is that the group of 9 trainees was actually formed by their leader Bang Chan, rather than by the company. The survival show was basically a test for them to prove each member was worthy of debuting. On the topic of doing things by themselves, their entire discography to date (8 albums if you count SKZ 2020 and an OST and anime OP/ED) has been written by three of the members dubbed 3RACHA. They also help produce all the songs Stray Kids release. This gives them a unique sound as well as meaningful lyrics where they hope to convey positive energy and comfort to their listeners. Their debut of District 9 centers around this idea of their music being a safe haven of sorts for people who are going through hard times or want a place to be their true selves. If you thought the rapping in Hellevator was crazy, definitely check out District 9 or Maze of Memories (amazing beat switch up) You pointed out that their logo has a cool font -- it's actually designed by their leader Bang Chan and is basically his handwriting 😂 Anyway sorry for the long comment! I've watched quite a few of your videos but I don't usually comment since there are so many already, but I'm so excited to see you delve into more Stray Kids. Hope you have a nice day!
Oops I forgot to mention, if you think 9 people dancing together is crazy you should DEFINITELY check out Seventeen. They have 13 members (not to intimidate you, you'll get used to it) and are known as the kings of synchronization and choreography in general. They form such unique images with all those members and have a very high average level of dancing abilities. They also self-compose and self-choreograph a lot of their work. Highly recommend Don't Wanna Cry as a start!
@@MrSammyCamhey Sammy please react to SKZ code episode 8 and 9 because this is funny and cute in the same time They are in a school and they do a kind of escape game but in horror theme and most of them are scared The most scared members of Stray Kids are Hyunjin,Felix,Seungmin and Bang Chan The unbothered members of Stray Kids are Han,Lee Know Both Is I.N ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-U10Ew1KyQvo.html&pp=ygUNc2t6IGNvZGUgZXAgOA%3D%3D(episode 8 of Skz code) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K6ZNUIg58Mo.html&pp=ygUNc2t6IGNvZGUgZXAgOQ%3D%3D(Episode 9 of SKZ code) So please do a reaction of this two episodes please ❤
Did you realise the high note at 6:19 is Jisung, the 3rd rapper you heard in this song? Actually non of the vocalists could do that high not well because it’s such a high pitch. The only one who could was him, and well he’s actually a rapper 😉 I tell you my boy Han Jisung has some impressive skills 🔥
People who is saying he keeps pausing! Remember this is a review too :) He tells about the music and tells what's happening and we actually learn Alot from it so its a really good thing he keeps pausing! :D Just so people don't hate! Have a great day! And I love ur vids man keep going!
i've always interpreted it as the boys have had to struggle their way up to success, so its "hell" on the way up but once they've reached the top it's beautiful and all the struggle and pain has all been worth it if that makes sense
Please react to: double knot, awkward silence, miroh, side effects, levanter, victory song, get cool, on track, NS, voices, Astronaut, you can stay, I am you, chronosaurus, mirror, grow up, grr, young wings, M.I.A, 19, 3rd eye. Also the members who produces most of their songs are in a rap unit called “3Racha” Please don’t mind my English 😊😅
Hey Sam! Plase reaction to NCT-U / Boss and NCT-127 / Cherry Bomb and Red Velvet-Psycho. I hope you will these songs. More more girl group reaction. I love your reaction.
you asked if that's their logo at the beginning of the mv- it is their logo, and it was hand written by their leader, Chan (fun fact, he's australian, and so is felix).
So StrayKids was formed in a competition with members personally selected by leader BangChan which is very strange for a Kpop group, I would also like to add that this is actually a pre-debut song, meaning this song was created before they knew if they were even going to make it through the competition and then two of the members were actually disqualified in the competition a little while after this but luckily they were able to join the group in the end. Original trio 3racha is a producing and rap sub-group responsible for the making of all their songs. Their lyrics usually display the struggles they went through during that uncertain time in the competition and the lack of support from friends and family. They also often use the concept of the pains of growing up. As many of them are minors with the youngest being I think 16 in this song.
I will give you some information about them : Bang Chan is the leader and the eldest of the group, he's Australian, he's a singer, rapper, songwriter, compositor and producer. He trained for 7 years. Woojin was the main vocalist but he left the group for personal reasons in 2019. (Also the eldest but as he left the group he isn't anymore) Lee Know was a backup dancer for BTS. He's the main dancer, a rapper and vocalist (they actually can all rap and sing and has nice dancing skills) Changbin is the main rapper, songwriter, compositor and producer. Hyunjin is the visual, rapper, singer and main dancer. Han came from Malaysia, he's the lead rapper, a vocalist, songwriter, compositor and producer. (Also has a good English) Felix is Australian too, he's the lead dancer, second visual, rapper and vocalist. (Before joining skz his Korean wasn't good and he learned for 3 years I think?) Seungmin is the lead vocalist I.N is the youngest and a vocalist. The group was formed by Bang Chan, JYP let him pick the members to create a survival show in which JYP decide to eliminate or not the members. They produce their own songs and make their own choreographies. They talk about a lot of topics like mental health, depression, school, fear of growing up etc. I recommend you to watch and listen to these songs: -Grr -District 9 -Mirror -Voices -Insomnia -Awkward Silence -I am YOU -Get Cool -Miroh -Victory Song -Maze of Memories -Boxer -Chronosaurus -Side Effects -Mixtape #1, #2, #3 and #4 -Double Knot -Levanter -Astronaut Am not lying to you, they are insanely amazing. Also, even if one left forever ot9, "nine or none" -Bang Chan
