As a Newcastle United fan, I'm glad to see more north east clubs in the professional divisions. Congratulations and welcome back, Hartlepool United. My best wishes for the next season from México! :)
A long season overall and well done Hartlepool - Sutton United volunteer. Good match, even the other team goalkeeper scored and a 10 hour car trip the fans did apparently.
I'm a Pools fan, 30 years, and the performance from the Torquay goalkeeper was one of the finest I have ever seen. I have nothing but respect for the guy.
I’m assuming you mean because of his antics in the shootout? Trust me, as a keeper we’re never expected to save a penalty so we do everything we can to get an advantage, including mind games. Talked to kickers for years when it comes to penalties, all part and parcel and this lad was unreal in this game. I’d say the complete opposite of getting what he deserved
I just wonder how Hartlepool fans would have reacted if it had been them who would have had those two perfectly good headed goals disallowed? I'm not a Torquay fan by the way.
Fair play guys it was rough and full of emotions like Torquay’s goal We both deserved it equally it’s just a shame how it has to end with a win and loose
From a Tranmere fan, the Ref was a complete SHIT, I have no allegiance to either club, but Torquay should have won. The so called Ref should resign as he is one dishonest Umpire. Look forward now to seeing Hartlepool back in the league again. I'll look forward to a Torquay return soon as well. Now SACK that 'ref' as totally unfit for purpose.
None of this Euro knee bending sideways back woods bollocks, proper football teams playing football we love. Just a word to Gary Johnson please set an example by taking players off who try to cheat and get penaltys, and that goes to all clubs. Can't wait for the NON LEAGUE season to start again.
It offends my rights to watch what should be a football match without this US CRAP. You should do your homework on this shite, which shouldn't be anywhere near a sports fixture, especially in the UK.
