Only tactical shooter that could have overgrown cod is socom, but the developers originally being zipper stopper producing the game. Best competitive shooter maps in history. Specifically socom 2. They would have translated to cod perfectly

Lets be real, the main thing killing Halo esports right now is the lack of tournaments and the time frame of everything happening throughout the year. Like the actual game itself there's nothing to really play, 343 just isn't making good choices...😬 I still can't believe we had to wait 4-5 months till the next Halo tourney after the last one we had

I’d say 70% is the lack of tournaments and 30% is the actual game. Even though the state of the game is awful, if the pros were playing it more the esport aspect would trickle down to the player base

Honestly, multiplayer wise, the maps are good, the gameplay is good but everything around it is either meh or bad. Bugs forever that people have just found their own fixes to, stuff like the battlepass that just feels like a spit in the face and other little bits here and there.

Every competitive game should have a system like ESEA or Faceit, csgo is and was so popular for league play because there are avenues to compete in. Halo corners its market b/c 343 host all the tournaments and leagues. A perfect example of when a third party runs the tournaments was MLG, the mlg days were hype af
