You just made the split toning process much less intimidating and that's quite a feat! Thanks a lot. Also you do explain everything very clearly, and even add a thorough description for every step. That's a sub from me 👌👌

Great video Christian. Split toning is one of those Lr features that I tend to not think about simply because I don't understand what it is doing to the image that I am editing, I tend to avoid it like the plague in favour of using the HSL and masking for the effect I want. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much! I understand that, I did avoid split toning a few years back as well, but I became quite used to it and now its my favourite color grading tool! Its quite hard replicating the same effects using HSL or masks

Top notch tut! Thanks. I think what would be helpful is to show the technique on two images because it will help explain the process better as it will be used for two different circumstances.

Great video and instruction! But light room needs add the split toning to the localized mask vs this being a global adjustment...

Great videos... I'm ok with LR and always pick something up. I just can't get into PS and shy away from it. What is your recommendation, it has so much potential but I have a mental barrier to using it.

Thanks for commenting! Photoshop can be intimidating at first, but its really not that bad once you understand the basics! I suggest starting with simple things like trying to add different variations of orthon glow, this will teach you about blur filters, layers, opacity and blending modes in a fun way!

It looks good, but why even going out and shoot a photo? The result is like a lie,it has nothing to do with the reality its not color grading ,this is colour and atmosphere changing

It’s personal preference. It’s about creating art. If you don’t like it, don’t do it.

@@raystrydom8308 Art isnt a answer for anything. I can put sh*t on a wall and call it art,yes a personal preference.... my problem is that people think that its a real nature scene, what its clear not cause its ARTifical, call it art photographie and not photographie and let the people know its pc made
