Knowing Michael probably concerned about his branding didn't want everyone to have every single piece of him and try to keep his voice high on purpose more than likely so he could sing. High pitch singers also sing that way so that they can sing above the music. Losing that ability means his voice would blend in. People knew him most as a kid so having a more childlike voice would make it more recognizable
I love Michael's normal speaking voice, I also love his sweet gentle high pitched voice. What a time to be alive, I loved him growing up. He died when I was 12 years old in 2009, I remember crying watching the TV.

I wondered why he would want to put on such a soft voice in public then it dawned on me - it was probably a way for him to maintain a youthful image and be in touch with the childhood he missed by speaking like a little boy.
@@roanchis5033 I don't know about preserving his voice, it seems like more effort and stress on your vocal chords to put on a fake voice than to just speak in a lower tone of your natural voice. You can see here that his fake voice actually took some effort to put on.
This (deeper) voice doesn't surprise me. It doesn't sound much different from his usual speaking voice. Even for us, our mood and emotions reflect on our voices and we also use different tones depending on context. Michael, being a vocalist, was more expressive with his voice even when he spoke. It's not a big deal as it is made out to be. I clicked on the video thinking it would sound like Scotty Mcreery and boy was I disappointed.
It's hard for me to have admiration for someone who is obviously not comfortable in his own skin. It was kind and gentle but had serious psychological issues.

Nothing strange about his speaking voice. My voice gets high and deep depending the scenario I’m in. Speaking in a calm setting my voice is higher. If I’m giving a speech, or instruction it will be deeper. It’s normal

His high pitch voice when singing is his style of singing, and he knows people love it. We all change our voices even guys when we talk to toddlers in the supermarket, to dogs we see at the park etc, our voice change to cute sounding.
