i dont get why everyone hated this game. it was the closest modern cod had gotten to the older cods (i.e mw2 2009) but people still complained about how it’s too tactical and slow.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite cod multiplayers. The visual recoil making ARs function like ARs and same with the other guns. It felt like a modernized OG cod because without the crazy movement it felt like your decisions in terms of positioning or gunfight strategy matter. Everyone had some decent chance in combat so the average movement sweat wasn't immortal.

I actually like MWII precisely because it is slow. I hate MWIII modern slide cancelling and 2019s stim fueled tryhards. In MWII makes me reminisce the old games like anything else. Cold War was fine and i still argue Vanguard is worse because of the supression mechanic but neither of them was as tactical as MWII. Move slow, take it slow, focus on aiming and position instead of jumping like a madman.

What made Modern Warfare II so controversial was the movement, it’s actually not a bad Call Of Duty since I believe people were disappointed from this because of MW2019 success and how great of a game that was. I found a video where someone called MWII had the worst campaign and I burst out laughing because they have not played Black Ops III campaign. Usually people hate Call Of Duty because it’s a trend nowadays.

Honestly, an hour long video on the pros and cons of all the call of dutys with search and destroy would be lit. Like what was the best kill/scorestreak setup, how they balanced things. Which had the best feeling TTK etc. Basically what would be the best combo of features from all the call of dutys.

as a person that still plays DMZ regularly, I can say this game wasn't as bad as people say it was. It definitely has its problems, but all things considered, very fun game. Has some of the best graphics too in my opinion

I think at the end of the year they should just port all these MWII maps into III so we can just have an ultimate modern warfare with all the maps in one game. I completely agree on most of what you said, the maps in mw2 were amazing, the gunplay was really fun and forgiving, the only really big downside was how slow everything was but that was pretty minor. The tuning system was okay, I didn't like having to do it so much but the ability to customize to whatever you needed on a gun was really cool and nice. I really don't know why people give mw2 so much shit, it was a great game

The tuning system was a stupid way to sell bundles the map design was mediocre still and the slow gameplay was bad Mw2019 and mw3 are better than this the only thing they did well was the fancy animations and pretty visuals the gunplay was bad because of the flinch and horrible balancing

I thoroughly miss everything about this game. People shit on the lack of super fast movement, but coming from the original COD/MW/BO titles thats always been my preference. Gunplay was nice and heavy like it should be, the tuning system was pretty decent (definitely not ground breaking like advertised), the FOOTsteps my goodness they are missing in MW3, and after just the Beta not having constant red dots i adjusted to that play style and used that to my advantage. And lastly, that TTK *chefs kiss* 🤌🏽 there’s nothing more frustrating than unloading half a mag just for hit markers in MW3. Ironically, i have the same 1.05 MP K/D in both games 😅

MWII is the pinnacle multiplayer of the new age CoDs (Post Black Ops 2). Infinite Warfare is the pinnacle of the campaigns, followed closely by like 4 or 5 of the missions from MW 2019.

That's the one thing I HATE about MW3 - the bullet hit / kill sounds! MW2 sounds were great but MW3 sounds like a cheap sci-fi game from the 80's Atari era. The MW3 sounds just take me out of the game and make the guns sound just too fake / ray-gun like to my ears. 🙄

MW2 being slower is why I enjoyed it. Not super fond of the break neck pace fans think they want (MW3). If you've moved onto games like Insurgency, or Battlefield or Battlebit on pc you probably appreciate the slower pace.

MW2 was a good game. Perfect by no means but a good game. Definitely not as bad as the amount of hate it got. It was different from other CODs and people cried too much about it instead of adapting to the changes. Movement was totally okay and as for ADS times, you don't need the longest barrel in 6v6 and tune your weapons and you will be fine. Footsteps sound I agree was a bit too loud and should have been reduced. Visual recoil also could have been less. Guns sounds were awesome, reload animations were great, maps were good. Mastery camos were nice. Ground war was also cool. Nice maps. Solid game overall in my opinion just suffered from some baffling decisions by Infinity Ward.

Randomly looked up MW2 today. I genuinely enjoyed it. MW2 2022 felt so good to play with it's physics momentum and feel of the guns, and the graphics quality is irrefutably better than current MW3's. It's perhaps my favorite COD to have played Hardcore Free-for-all in out of recent CODs; silencing your footsteps by aiming down sights and peeking around corners made you feel like Anton Chigurh in No Country for Old Men. I really wish the game had realistic gore like in Red Dead or Last of Us, though. The ultimate gritty and grounded feel I hope/fantasize COD would risk to explore would have almost been there.

not like other cods were much different from each other, but mw2 is just garbage. you want to use a suppressor (that does absolutely nothing except change the sound)? here you go, a suppressor + 180ms of added ads time. want to use your perks? too bad you have to wait half a match to get them! do you want to use an underbarrel that reduces recoil? sure, but we'll destroy handling with it. you want a bit more movement on your slow as shit operator? +150% horizontal recoil. not to talk about how the guns blocked your vision with all the smoke and fire particles, this game was AWFUL for mnk, i've played better indie games that sold for 1/10th of what this game was sold at

This game is not as bad as people say it is. I did enjoy this game, and it had its own feel. It's not the best cod game, but nowhere near the worst one either. 😊

Tbh MW22 is kinda growing on me Not because of CoD cycle but because of its map aesthetics,campaign arcs, and the bonus modes like Raid and DMZ which i love to grind on that game during its life cycle. MW3 is already better than MW22 but it lacks the aesthetics,visuals, bad modes, and the heavy sbmm with sweatys

the real problem with this game is not movement, just perks, minimap, ads time, recoil. Movement in mw2 is actually really good and fast time to kill is good too

I get the community wants a certain style but I like when the devs make their own game, just like in the old cods. They were great, at least for me I didn’t see anyone complain that bad
